    Route to Wembley
QF – Forest Green or Southend (H)
    SF – Rochdale/York (A)

If we play to our best Wembley is achievable…unless its York. Think we’d be in for another spanking – they’ve dropped 2 (two) points there since we did them in October. eek.

But we did do them – and we can again.

They will be well aware that we were the last team to beat them at home.

    Wembley here we come 😁

(We’ve got to be optimistic haven’t we!!)

I remember going to see Forest play Leeds at home in 1967 (my father was an accountant for Peter Grummit the Forest keeper, so we got free tickets) and Leeds had a black left winger, called Albert Johansen iirc.

The Leeds fans sang ” zigger, zigger, zigger, we have got a n…..”. A couple of thousand of them.

I’m not sure, it kept changing it’s name.

I heard they didn’t have any luck with getting a license for a ransom strip club either.

    I believe it’s had 4 names……

A 2-0 win. Surely we must put in a decent performance soon – it might as well be the next game!!

Round of applause for the SS who said he’s going to the playoffs, another super Uber fan amongst us.

Aye. Pretty dim. I’ll be at those playoffs though – unlike some others 😂

Being at a game, whether home or away, or being a season ticket holder, doesn’t make you any more of a supporter than anyone else.

Some people work, some have family issues, some live a long way from Scunny and others can’t afford it.

You might realise all this when you grow up.

He is doing well, even if it’s not good to watch. It doesn’t mean I like him though.

Deerey, you try so hard to come over as balanced/the voice of reason, but your “love in” for AB still shines through.

I never wanted AB as manager.

He has done a reasonably good job – better than I expected.

This does not make him the man for the future – at all.

We will ot be promoted as we are not good enough.

Next season may not be as successful as this one……

Fully behind the starting eleven, mix and match, rest some guys give some others chance to shine in different positions particularly up top. Could prove useful going into the playoffs with more options, strong bench still if we need to rejig things later on.

We need to win, so should start our strongest team. The higher we finish the better.

Can we also remember the time and effort that these people have put in to get the club back on an even keel.

It is a significant amount, and they have not been paid for it.

Also, they could have made a good few quid if they’d invested their money elsewhere.

We are lucky to have them.

And you was doing so well ironironiron until you mentioned Hilton.

Just look at the revenue streams he’s brought and trying to bring in at Matlock. And we have a begging bowl and very little else, well ok a wreath making workshop and a medium night.

Hilton may be doing good things at Matlock. I don’t know & I don’t care.

What I do know is did SFA for Scunny.

That’s what I am basing my views on.

For once I agree with Deereyme”s post above.

I think you will find that Swann did indeed “write off” £11M of debt. If we had still owned the ground and been that much on debt we would definitely have been wiped out (you could always up the Swanny!!)

He could easily have refused to let us have the ground back and looked to have developed it. He didn’t.

Whilst the man was a disaster for our club, I think it was down to stupidity and an unwillingness to listen to anyone that caused the problems. Unlike Hilton who was just an out and out chancer.

We are so fortunate to have come through those years relatively unscathed compared to other clubs. We still have a team to support and a ground of our own.

The fact that Boyce is retiring at the end of the season is irrelevant. He should be nowhere near the team based on his recent performances.

Yes he’s been a decent servant to us, but he is well past his sell by date.

New defence or new playing surface?

    Can’t have both can we?

We need both + especially if we go up.

Completely new defence for me please. JB to stay as well. We will need cover at some point.

Stupid question. Of course we want promotion. We always want to be the best we can.

We have surpassed expectations this year. We could do so next year by surviving. It would be nice to have the opportunity to do so.

Yes I did. Quite often. However, nobody took any notice of me. So I’ve joined the club.

‘We need a head of recruitment next season, or at the very least a head scout to take charge.’

Positivity Dave to start a new gofundme. Joking aside, it’s not fair on Butler to be shoehorning in recruitment with trying to coach and manage. No wonder he gets annoyed at the critics.

Get real Derry. Butlers job came with the responsibility of recruitment. He will be judged on that, and the performance/positioning of the team, based on that.

We know you love him, but take your head out of his &#@+ for a few minutes to give yourself a breather.

On recent form, which I expect to continue this weekend and perhaps longer, and projecting ahead a little, I have a sneaking feeling we might slip out of the play-off spots, with not quite enough games to claw our way back in. Anyone else starting to feel this way?

    No

Don’t need to rescue it at the moment the playoffs beckon then it’s anybody’s on the day, the cods proved that.
Echo the goalie situation by the way, many said they trusted the judgement of the management team rather than supporter’s who’d never played the game professionally.
    That’s not looking good now.

Even a monkey is right now & again.
