Jordan Henderson? Englands version of Michael Clunan.

Don’t recognise majority of them and very desperate taking Henderson

Ahh well another reason to not tune in

Ivan Toney? Rich park league hot shot.

Tbh, I enjoy major tournaments, and long since given up on any decent England showing. Wales might fare better this time.

Don’t think Wales have much of a chance considering they didn’t qualify.

Some very strange selections, just hope Tuchel knows what he’s doing. None of the performances during qualifying were all that inspiring (except maybe the 5-0 away win in Serbia) and the most recent round of friendlies were an extremely tough watch.

‘Don’t think Wales have much of a chance considering they didn’t qualify.’

Little bit of sarcasm from me ;)

His logic of taking characters despite not being best available is flawed (England cricket check) MGW has earned a place way above Toney and Henderson. Wasn’t particularly looking forward to it anyway Infantino and Trump’s America taking away any sense of excitement. Tuchel will be gone and Pep will be in after the World Cup.

Well we’ve tried the golden generation route and fell flat on our faces, maybe his “team ethic” might do some good. Other than taking Henderson obviously.
Can’t say I’m bothered though much the same as ironawe, also it’s gone to big 48 teams wtf, haven’t they heard of qualifying so only the best teams get there.
Just like everything else greed takes over the European cups now are a joke, they even got rid of the best competition imo in the cup winners cup. They were great competitions and ment something other than money to qualify in them.

I reckon the only person who thinks the same as Tuchel is Dan Burn’s mum!

Reminds me of the lost years of the 70s when flair players like Stan Bowles, Tony Currie, Rodney Marsh and Frank Worthington were often left our in favour of “safer” options.

Even Alf Ramsey made odd choices: taking Gordon Banks in 1970 when he’d lost an eye?

Banks lost his eye in October 1972.

Banks was at the 1970 World Cup but he still had both of his eyes.

    No need to check.

That’s ruined Alcy’s ‘Banksy, has only got one eye…’ chant.

Amazing what you THINK you remember.
I could have sworn he traveled with the England squad AFTER losing his sight in his right eye 🙄
