Hornchurch has come – and gone.

    We’ll keep ploughing the furrow.

Hartlepool seem to be as bad as us?

Surely we can cobble a win against these?

    Heart: 2-1
    Head: 1-1
    Gut: 1-2

I know it’s 3 bites of the same cherry… but owt could happen.
Both are having poor starts to the season.
It’s a game that looks as if it could go either way.

Well they are managerless now so they will probably beat us, usually works out that way.

I wonder when the last time two managerless teams faced each other was?

Team for Hartlepool based on yesterday’s performance:-

    Campbell
    Barrows JB Ashbee Horton
    Rose Rowley Bailey
    Jones Whitehall TSF

Disclaimer:- Some selections made with lack of a viable alternative and subject to fitness.

No I broke the trend by picking a system and fitting into it players in their preferred positions who didn’t perform poorly yesterday, where possible.
Butterfield can be considered unlucky, he was pedestrian but, as somebody else said, he was waiting for something to happen in front of him. Much like the rest of us!

Course he was pedestrian he was playing at the back, and could join the sidewards and backwards we’re so good at the stats will show that again. Passes hit passes made, pass pass pass except going forward at pace.

    Was Pat Jones missing yesterday?

Yes. Don’t know if he’s injured or out of favour. We desperately needed a winger to make runs yesterday, even if it was the so called ‘Postman’. That worked out well didn’t it simon?

Rose wouldn’t play a role this early on. Only just come back from several injuries suffered in the past year. Rose is going to have to be drip fed back in to the side and slowly built up.

Jb for Barrows at RB and hopefully Howe will be back soon and he’ll be next to Ashbee. Evans looks terrible and Whitehall doesn’t look at all interested. I think his race may well be run in an iron shirt. I hope I’m wrong.

But not for Saturday. Also see ‘subject to fitness’.

Certainly didn’t look interested with that shot on goal in the second half or the taking of the free kicks in dangerous positions we had, maybe Butterfield insisted that he took them while he just played the spare part.
I’m for letting him go I’ve said before just not valued by the fans.
