Both NLN and NLS finals will be second vs third.
Will ours follow the pattern?May 3, 2026 at 1:55 pm #320257No, keep the faith!
May 3, 2026 at 2:54 pm #320261Be a cavernous Wembley next Sunday. How many fans will Boreham Wood take? 200?
May 3, 2026 at 3:05 pm #320262Looks like we’re back to normal: 1-0 down after three minutes,🙄
May 3, 2026 at 3:07 pm #320263So much for playing like we did against Southend……
May 3, 2026 at 3:20 pm #320264Evans, MoM against Southend, own goal on three minutes.
What ill luckMay 3, 2026 at 3:57 pm #320265Ewing was motm against Southend but Evans was outstanding on the night.
May 3, 2026 at 4:00 pm #320266Congratulations to Boreham Wood what a season for them, bet Mark Hughes’s is having a right old sulk.
May 3, 2026 at 4:03 pm #320267Can’t see where Evans touched that tbh. Should have been given to the Dale player
May 3, 2026 at 4:05 pm #320268So far it is clear why Rochdale amassed so many more points. A better team in control with good structure. The stop-start nature isn’t helping us, but we have rarely threatened and only occasional moments from Jones or Roberts deliver some kind of hope, butn their final product hasn’t always been great.

So our attack isn’t functioning?
Never mind, Butler can bring on either of our extra defenders…oh…wait…May 3, 2026 at 4:21 pm #320270Too many misplaced passes
May 3, 2026 at 4:22 pm #320271Game over
May 3, 2026 at 4:24 pm #320272Our midfield has been completely neutered all game. Credit to Rochdale, but that aspect has been really disappointing. Poor defending for both goals – story of the season with these lapses in concentration.
May 3, 2026 at 4:25 pm #320273Shame, our leaky defence was always going to catch up with us. Rochdale deserve to go up anyway

May 3, 2026 at 4:40 pm #320274And here we go: on 65/6 minutes, as ever, like for like substitutes.
May 3, 2026 at 4:47 pm #320275Game over
Game’s not over
May 3, 2026 at 5:01 pm #320276Season over.
May 3, 2026 at 5:04 pm #320278Sad to say it was back to a 75% performance, very different to Tuesdays performance

May 3, 2026 at 5:08 pm #320280I’m sure we would rather play Rochdale twice next season then that long journey to Boreham Wood so I will be rooting for the underdog at Wembley. Close but no cigar for us but we half expected what the outcome would be, just need the retained list sorted asap so we can start planning next season quickly.

May 3, 2026 at 5:08 pm #320281Well. Signings, releases, extensions are going to be here to look out for in the coming week.
Well done AB. Well done you Iron!2 users thanked author for this post.
May 3, 2026 at 5:19 pm #320284May 3, 2026 at 5:28 pm #320287Please God let’s get an experienced keeper can’t go through another season with 4 inadequate keepers
No, no, I’m sure you’re wrong.
That nice Mr Butler assured us Maison was our number one for the season…1 user thanked author for this post.
May 3, 2026 at 5:31 pm #320288Rochdale stamped their mark on the game early on and we seemed over-awed. I don’t know what the game plan was; there was never any urgency. Often just lazy lumps up forward and hope for the best.

May 3, 2026 at 5:39 pm #320290Good to see anti-positivity Alcazar back firing on all cylinders!
May 3, 2026 at 5:50 pm #320293Very disappointing display really. That 2nd goal we seemed to just stop, watch and let Rodney have a crack at goal.
Didn’t seem like we had much of a game plan, no real clear cut chances other than the goal which was a lump it and hope from the keeper.
Hoping we can kick on next season but that’s probably Roberts, Ewing, Westbrooke (and maybe Evans) that we’ll never see again…a decent spine of the team. If Roberts goes that’s 31% of our goals gone from this season which he’s either scored or assisted.
May 3, 2026 at 5:54 pm #320294Evans just saying on Humberside he’s hoping to sign this week.

May 3, 2026 at 5:59 pm #320295In my opinion our right back position has been a problem most of the season, today was no exception. UTWI I can take defeat but today for me it was a damp squib

I’m positive I’d like to see Butler gone.
I didn’t want him appointed.
I thought giving him his first two year contract was a mistake. I still think so.
I think giving him ANOTHER two year deal was beyond the pale.
The guy cost us the championship last season with his arrogance, naivety and stubbornness.
He’s done the same again this season. NINETEEN points dropped after the 88th minute?
INSISTING we didn’t need a goalie.
Curious, to say the least, substitutions…
Of all the above, I’m POSITIVE.1 user thanked author for this post.
May 3, 2026 at 9:09 pm #320307‘NINETEEN points dropped after the 88th minute?’
Agreed it’s a shocking statistic. Not convinced it’s more Butler’s fault than the defenders though tbh.
Clear to see in today’s match and the Dale V York match last week that they have better players. I don’t like undermining our own players but it’s the truth, as far as I see it.
