An OAP fan has received a club ban following a heated exchange with Butler at a recent home game.
April 9, 2026 at 5:25 pm #319084I’m sick of Butler’s thin Skin, I saw him have a go at a fan who only shouted what’s going on,not even at Butler.Butler lost concentration and kept mouthing at this particular who looked lost for words.
It seem they gladly accept support from drug dealers, wife beaters , that nasty group of little racists surrounding the drummer with their Farage Stop the boats stickers and the David Hilton fan club that did so much doxing threatening and abuse of fans that inhabits the facebook group ,unity group and Ironhour.
He should not have to accept grief but if he’s going to tell fans to eff off at Grounds then he has no right to then ask for them to be removed as his behaviour is as bad and escalates the situation.8 users thanked author for this post.
April 9, 2026 at 5:31 pm #319086Hope that’s not you Bhuna, fear not just join the band of others that are banned or disillusioned and just attend away games.

April 9, 2026 at 6:03 pm #319089April 9, 2026 at 6:24 pm #319093If true then the club must act quickly to register Butler as a ward of the court as a vunerable .. i thought he was supposed to be a ruffy tuffy alas now it appears hes got skin like tissue paper.
Sorry to all his followers but i really am disliking this fella more n more .. his distain for anyone not agreeing with him or questioning his management choices on so many levels really makes my piss boil..
The club only want to hear from fans that love him and treat him like a king is really piss poor.. arrogant stubborn and absolutely not my cuppa tea.
April 9, 2026 at 6:35 pm #319098Butler’s ego will be his downfall. How the hell would he cope at a bigger club with bigger expectations than little ol’ Scunny!?
Even on RH post match any sort of criticism aired towards him, the team or the performance and you can immediately tell he’s absolutely fuming. Needs to grow up.
April 9, 2026 at 7:38 pm #319101Don’t really mind him giving verbal back if you give it you’ve got to be able to take it, ( not that it’s a good look for himself or the club)
But trying to gesturing to stewards to remove Bhuna is not on.
Then with his continually putting the fans down a good chairman would have had words with him should really have done after the Marine game with the childish interview he gave, disappointingly this doesn’t appear to have happened, after all Butler only takes money out of the club and doesn’t put in like a lot of fans do.
So easy to discourage fans from buying a ticket, it’s a lot harder to win them back.April 9, 2026 at 7:45 pm #319102What does heated exchange mean? Has the fan been banned for swearing at Butler? Has Butler been reprimanded for reciprocal abuse?
April 9, 2026 at 8:26 pm #319103One of Butlers weaknesses is his man child behaviour. He comes across as a spoilt little child and cannot accept criticism. Optics for the club are not great and they need to do something about it. Fans will be here long after the man child has ejected his pacifier
April 9, 2026 at 9:01 pm #319104It’s minging.
April 9, 2026 at 10:14 pm #319105Doesn’t look good on the face of it.
But I feel there may be more to this than simply an OAP getting banned.
April 9, 2026 at 10:30 pm #319106There may be more. Also, there may not.

April 10, 2026 at 5:37 am #319109People are working off rumour and assumptions.
I refuse to comment as I have no idea what happened and what was actually said.1 user thanked author for this post.
April 10, 2026 at 7:06 am #319111Be interested to know the full facts.
April 10, 2026 at 8:02 am #319113Full facts and information needed.
There appears to be a grain running through the club which doesn’t like criticism.
All the people who saved the club are to be applauded and those having put there own money in deserve recognition and credit for that.
But it doesn’t make them right, nor does it mean we less well off are less passionate about our club or less correct on some things.
If true I hope the situation can be rectified sensibly.

April 10, 2026 at 8:08 am #319114From the Horses mouth,well his sons.
It started with the usual “change it/sort it out Butler ” apparently they shout at him a lot. Butler turned around and mouthed ” f off” Which led them to respond as they had his attention.
Butler called a steward over, pointed them out which led to a row with steward who was trying to throw them out.
There will be Butler’s side tooApril 10, 2026 at 8:37 am #319115In that case, pathetic – from Butler.

April 10, 2026 at 8:59 am #319116Thought the Club had moved forward from banning fans but obviously not !
It’s a downward spiral for the Club doing this sort of thing especially if abusive language was used by Butler who is an employee of the Club.
So a fan / customer is banned.
So are the Club taking action against their employee if the report of him using foul language is correct ?5 users thanked author for this post.
April 10, 2026 at 9:30 am #319119Whatever the full story is, it just feels like another own goal from the club. Nobody’s saying fans should be abusive, because they shouldn’t, but the people running the club have to be able to rise above it instead of getting into back-and-forth arguments and ending up with stewards involved. If a supporter has genuinely gone too far, then explain that properly. But if Butler has also overstepped, that needs to be said too. At the moment it all just feels unnecessarily messy and small-time, and it reflects badly on everyone involved. The club needs to lower the temperature, be clearer about what actually happened, and stop this growing sense of fans against club before it drives even more people away.

There’s also Butler’s side to the story which we don’t know

April 10, 2026 at 10:58 am #319122There is Butler’s side, but he is the professional in this scenario and I don’t think he can have his cake and eat it.
When there are fans referring to others on publicly viewable social media as parasites and another making bad taste cancer comments and still being lauded by the club then in my opinion they are on thin ice too.3 users thanked author for this post.
April 10, 2026 at 11:13 am #319124Easily said but mouthy fans are best ignored and AB being a professional should know that, hope it’s sorted soon.

April 10, 2026 at 12:28 pm #319125It’s not even been acknowledged by the club yet of taking place, club taking action against their employee give over, more likely to extend his contract than take action against him.
Butler would be on a final written warning in a normal workplace environment, much the same as the fan should be instead of a straight ban, no fisty cuffs just verbal and they act like the russian state.April 10, 2026 at 12:30 pm #319126It’s not even been acknowledged by the club yet of taking place, club taking action against their employee give over, more likely to extend his contract than take action against him.
They don’t have to acknowledge anything, somebody on Facebook has offered a slightly conflicting .
April 10, 2026 at 12:49 pm #319128Is it conflicting though? It depends what is being determined as “shouting abuse at the manager”.
If it is just “bloody rubbish” or “change it Butler” then that in no way contributes as “abuse”…in my humble opinion of course.

April 10, 2026 at 1:10 pm #319129The full story, I stood up and shouted why don’t we shoot and did not swear. This was not and the times before not aimed at Butler but he seems to think it is, and he locks on to you and he mouthed f@~k off and pointed to the exit as he has before.
My response was ‘ just manage the team ‘, pointing toward the Pitch.
That was the end until the steward arrived and told myself and Dad to calm down, to which we said we are calm and can we just watch the match, but the steward would not leave, so my father told them to F’#K OFF, so he was thrown out and I and my 11 year old son followed him escorted by 2 security men all the way to where Costa is.
I also asked can AB not be told about swearing at me, the response was to send an email to the club.
My Dad has since been banned, with no right of appeal till the end of the season, and he also got a letter saying MR. BUTLER has accused my pensioner Dad of bullying him..
I am not banned but am not going back..6 users thanked author for this post.
April 10, 2026 at 1:22 pm #319131‘my father told them to F’#K OFF’.
No surprise he’s banned then – staff should not have to put up with that treatment. There are people with very young and impressionable children around and quite frankly no one should have to put up with that in a family orientated stand. As for Butler mouthing ‘f off’; yes it’s unprofessional but supporters have been labeled ‘snowflakes’ for complaining about much less. One supporter on the Facebook group has complained about being sick of hearing the vulgar abuse almost every home game. It’s a valid complaint in my opinion.
I’ve got my own criticisms of Butler’s behaviour recently but this episode has an air of exploitation about it (i.e. some of Butler’s harshest critics weaponising).
April 10, 2026 at 1:53 pm #319135How can you say that Deerey, did not Bhuna highlight Butler’s attitude from a previous event, have many others not highlighted Butler’s attitude and comments to fans for over a season now, I mean ffs telling fans he doesn’t want fans to attend games if they are going to be negative.
Are you not surprised that Butler appears not to have been disciplined for mouthing f off, or the non action over many mouthing off incidents in there to opposition players and managers especially the middle aged couple giving Savage the peodo abuse.
Maybe it’s Butler who should be removed.
Swearing at football whatever next.3 users thanked author for this post.
April 10, 2026 at 2:47 pm #319136To deeryme66 and others, my Dad apologized to the steward for swearing, but our fate was already sealed.

April 10, 2026 at 2:51 pm #319137What a sorry episode. No fan should be banned for voicing an opinion. Bhuna’s father may have been a touch colourful with his language, but if a steward was pestering him mid-game, the temptation to tell them where to go is entirely understandable.
Butler has spent recent interviews singing the praises of the happy clappers, yet anyone who dares to criticise within earshot is apparently now a candidate for a club ban.
It grows ever clearer that this club has no appetite for difficult questions or dissent – while those who clap along regardless are celebrated for it. Shame on you SUFC.6 users thanked author for this post.
