Haa you spell nat wrong
Comedy gold !
My guess is 3-0 Iron.
They’ll hold out 0-0 into the second half but we’ll be too strong in the end.I don’t understand all the share/loan stuff enough to comment on how that all works.
But while a level of scepticism is needed, it is a fact that Michelle and the other directors have stuck a good wedge of money into the club without which we would be talking Scunthorpe United 1899 to 2023. The supporters showed they would help at the time and attendances are higher than I ever thought we’d get in non league, we are hopefully all in it together.6 users thanked author for this post.
Wow. Saint Matt. Rose tinted glasses. I absolutely praise every individual who got involved raising over 70k. I also praise every volunteer who has spent countless hours week after week supporting the staff at the club . But lets not talk about that . Its about time the toxic element of the fans realise the club has changed for the better over the last 3 years .
We are having a hugely successful period on the pitch and the board are doing a fantastic job behind the scenesI’d be interested to know who you think is the toxic element of the fans ?

It’s nonsense but I’ve seen posts on X by Matt Ellis to the sufcofficial account calling certain players “shite” and saying “get them out of the club now”.
Bigging up Iron Hour and the positivity fella are an easy way for Butler to hit back.Unfortunately, however much we might not have liked it, Swanns company was the legal owner of Glanford Park and anyone wanting it had to pay him money.
Hilton didn’t pay and came up with all kinds of nonsense to justify himself. He didn’t just walk away either until £100k had been paid to him by Michelle Harness & co.
As Cass says, Whitehall and Roberts accepted terms to stay and the other fantasy league signings went elsewhere.
Not to mention the club are going to be out of pocket for honouring the 1500 club victims with season tickets and free entry to cup games etc.1 user thanked author for this post.
Didn’t he fail to pay Swann for the ground as agreed ?
Didn’t he pull the plug and was prepared for the whole thing to collapse out of existence ?
You see through a lot of stuff that happens and make so many good points but you’ve got a blind spot with Hilton that I don’t understand.Silly old Butler, will he ever learn ?

Rode our luck as they missed at least one absolute sitter, but we absolutely needed that result. I agree iron64, Hurst did well. If we get Evans and JB back I think we’ll improve defensively.
March 15, 2026 at 7:40 am in reply to: Abibliophobia On The Pros & Cons Of Promotion – Do You Want Promotion? #317556Let’s get out of this league (upwards !) first. It has taken many other “bigger” clubs years just to get back into league 2.
Even throwing a fortune at it like York have is no guarantee of escape. If we can get into league 2 we will have enough to stay up, and build from there.
Only issue now is beating Truro no need to look any further forward than that.2 users thanked author for this post.
That’s a great post Awaywego.
Butlers got the driving seat, which I wanted him to have, no doubt he wants the responsibility. Proof of the pudding will be at the season end.1 user thanked author for this post.

Scunthorpe !Good news, deserved after digging us out of NLN and a good chance at making the playoffs now.
It is a sad day when a move to Oldham is worth preserving yourself for.
On recent form, which I expect to continue this weekend and perhaps longer, and projecting ahead a little, I have a sneaking feeling we might slip out of the play-off spots, with not quite enough games to claw our way back in. Anyone else starting to feel this way?
No, they’ll sort it out.
If we get the kick off please do something other than booting it out towards the left for a throw in. That’s all I ask.

Chalk and cheese
He can’t escape criticism over the loans but he’s still on a learning curve as a manager and I’m prepared to give him a fair chance especially this season. Also realistically with our budget in this league who are we expecting to get ? TSF was excellent and got plucked straight back out for an EFL loan at the cods.
It felt a bit like when we played Notts County the season we were relegated into NLN, just witnessing an absolute gulf in quality.
The players we have are over achieving as a group to be where we are. If we can pick up enough points to stay in the playoffs we’ve got a chance. Personally I’d start Jones in goal next game to give Mahady a break and look to get a half decent centre half in on loan if that is possible.
Sounds like Evans is carrying an injury from what AB said on Humberside.1 user thanked author for this post.
Nice helping hand from Mark Beck as well scoring the winner against Halifax.
But if someone with a lot of money comes in then the existing directors (who I applaud and thank wholeheartedly for everything) will add up what they’ve put in and hope to get a return on it. Suddenly it will fully be a business again …..
Tell Howe he was needed for the rest of the season and that might mean coming off the bench if he couldn’t get a regular start.

Sorry to anyone who disagrees but loaning Howe out was a mistake. I hope I’m proved wrong but based on what I’ve seen I can’t see Smith and Dausch getting 6 between them before the end of the season. It’s worrying that Howe asked to go on loan and even more worrying that Butler said ok. A squad capable of a playoff winning push would have all 3 of them in it.

That’s surely one step too far, TJO.
Lol, possibly too many beers ! But the fact remains Rowley and Ewing have gone off the boil and there’s literally nobody behind them in the squad other than the lads who have been loaned out.
Kian Scales scored the winner for Radcliffe today, fetch him back as well.
Hurst and Barrows dropped, smith and Dausch started and we get absolutely hammered. Bring back Brogan and Howe asap.

I’ve forgotten about Howe already.
