Dec Howe scores in the 27th minute to put Altrincham 1-0 up against Truro.

March 7, 2026 at 3:54 pm #317181Callback after the weekend, more than proved his worth in this division.

March 7, 2026 at 5:10 pm #317191With Farrell doing well, I would send Carlton out on loan and recall Howe.

March 7, 2026 at 10:18 pm #317203Sounded like it was Howe who forced the move through. No way he’s coming back. Butler was asked this post match and said in so mnay words he’ll be staying there till end of season with a 24 hr call back.
Farrell looks a better bet than Howe in this system anyway. Early days, but he looks like a real striker in the making. Farrell looks to be Whitehall, if Whitehall was more physical and had more pace.
He looks like the exact type of striker we should have signed when we signed Dausch.

March 8, 2026 at 12:05 am #317207Liking Farrell and what Dausch brings out wide. I think we have enough options now without bringing Dec back personally.

March 8, 2026 at 10:27 am #317213Also AB makes a valid point about Howe taking points off other teams.
March 8, 2026 at 11:00 am #317215And Butler talks out his arse, points off other teams lol they’ve not played a team that taking points would actually help us, the man’s deluded well maybe a con artist.
At least do your homework Mr Butler, till the end of the season they only play one team who’s above us and that is York who we’re hardly likely to catch and probably would be better for Alty to lose against them to help them win the automatic slot, probably the best team to avoid in the playoffs.
I don’t buy it Butler.
Is Howe going to be the next Wootton, Godden and the like who we let go, the only difference is that Howe as showed he can get the goals while here and while out on loan before moving him on.2 users thanked author for this post.
March 8, 2026 at 12:01 pm #317218Only one ‘con artist’ around the club in recent history and you licked his boots!
March 8, 2026 at 12:22 pm #317219The York game for Altrincham makes no difference to us. York and Rochdale are well out of reach but if Dec can help take points off Southend and Halifax when Alty play them it could well be useful to the Iron.

March 8, 2026 at 12:30 pm #317220Your talking there as if Dec is there to the end of the season lol.
Like I say con artist at best.1 user thanked author for this post.
March 8, 2026 at 1:05 pm #317223AB got a tad tetchy when Ollie T asked about him .
March 8, 2026 at 2:06 pm #317224We all know there is more to the Howe story.
If Carlton Uba.. had gone out on loan that would be fine.
Pardon me AB but if Howe had an attitude, i have never noticed it in all the great games he played for the iron, and put 100% effort in.
As others say, with Dausch and Farrell up front with Roberts we looked very very threatening yesterday.
For me, for Tuesday evening, drop Connor Smith ( that’s another AB strange situation, that he not ready yet, how many games ) and Whitehall. Start with Dausch and Farrell up front..March 8, 2026 at 2:10 pm #317225March 8, 2026 at 2:14 pm #317226I think Smith will come good eventually, maybe not this season but on a shiny new (hopefully competently) laid and funded pitch given game time Smith should come good. I was and still am against the loaning out of Howe but if he scores a hatful he could well be an asset come the playoffs.
March 8, 2026 at 2:37 pm #317227I’d wager the pitch will be done on the cheap and it won’t be much of an improvement next season. I hope I’m wrong. Mr Colby & his gang did a great job back in the day. Such a shame it’s in the mess that it’s in now.

Pardon me AB but if Howe had an attitude, i have never noticed it in all the great games he played for the iron, and put 100% effort in.AB said Howe wanted to go out on loan to play games that he couldm’t guarantee. I don’t recall him ever questioning Howe’s attitude, that seems to have come, unsubstantiated, from anti-Butler s***stirrers.

March 8, 2026 at 3:17 pm #317230AB says a lot doesn’t mean it’s all true.
I’ve heard more to the contrary CT where clapper’s defend AB by saying Howe had attitude in the dressing room.
All unsubstantiated of course cos we’re not in the room to know one way or the other.March 8, 2026 at 3:32 pm #317232He scored a cracking goal for Alty yesterday!
If Whitehall goes in the summer – will Stan deploy him as his No 9 next season?
Is Dec on a 2 year contract?1 user thanked author for this post.

Aye, we don’t want Truro leapfrogging us!

Agreed awaywego. Claims that Butler said he has an attitude are also untrue

March 8, 2026 at 6:51 pm #317238So, who are all the players under contract for next season?
March 8, 2026 at 8:13 pm #317240Whitehall, and Ollie Rose are the only ones I can find
March 8, 2026 at 8:57 pm #317244I stand to be corrected but I think Beestin, Belehouan, Howe, Rose, Starbuck and Whitehall are under contract for next year. Plus talk of Horton having played enough games to have an extension triggered for next year too.
March 9, 2026 at 11:37 am #317251Since found out Beestin is, can’t find out about Howe. Belehouan and Starbuck are not.
March 9, 2026 at 5:23 pm #317260Horton is too, isn’t he?
March 9, 2026 at 6:21 pm #317262Smith definitely is and the following season as well.
March 9, 2026 at 6:44 pm #317264A cracking goal!
March 9, 2026 at 9:41 pm #317266So, who are all the players under contract for next season?
Starbuck, Belehouan, Horton (assuming his option has been automatically triggered as has been reported), Rose, Whitehall, Beestin, Howe, Smith.
March 10, 2026 at 5:09 pm #317291Cough…
With Farrell doing well, I would send Carlton out on loan and recall Howe.
