Halifax fan in peace.
Just a heads up its cash ONLY at the turnstiles on Saturday however there is an ATM 50 yards from your turnstiles at the Esso station on the main road if anyone needs it.
The nearest pub to the away turnstiles is The Three Pigeons which is about a 3 minute walk away from the away turnstiles. It’s a family friendly pub selling hand pulled ales and lagers with a good selection of pies and pasties from a local butchers.Go to the bottom of the road and turn left the pub is 100 yards on the right.
Fir those coming by train turn left at the end of the station car park and the pub is 150 yards on the left with the ground a further 100 yards beyond that.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

March 26, 2026 at 9:54 am #318342What’s parking like at/near the ground? Is there any designated/preferred supporter car parks etc?
March 26, 2026 at 10:02 am #318343There is a car park at the ground which charges £5 but is not the biggest and its on a first come first served basis. Note it gets full fairly quickly on big games.
There is metered street parking around the ground but with it being so close to the town centre there will be limited space.
Use Google maps to find Free School Lane for free street parking and its a good 5 minutes walk from the ground1 user thanked author for this post.
March 26, 2026 at 11:17 am #318348Do kids still throw stones down on away fans from the top of the speedway embankment terracing like in the early 80s Tezza? Only joking, probably woke a few of our lot up :)

March 26, 2026 at 12:10 pm #318351Ha no. Ground redevelopments negate that happening these days.

March 26, 2026 at 2:04 pm #318363I show my age, ran across the grass to get King Kenny Carters autograph, pre selfies when nobody had a mobile phone !
I remember the banked curves made for fast racing for the Halifax Dukes.
Back to football, an away win against a good Halifax team would be fantastic, after our draw against the league leaders.
And i remember Adan Lakeland, in his Kings Lynn managerial days, at Glanford Park shouting at Joe Rowley, give us the ball back you fucking mule, not a nice manager..
Joe Rowley is having an awesome season..1 user thanked author for this post.
March 26, 2026 at 2:18 pm #318365Normally takes 2 to tango 64,
Grandson knows of a few lads (only youth mind) coming from Bradford and Doncaster for the game it’s non league day on Saturday ya know, anyone who wants a footy fix ours is the stand out game, no Leeds no Sheffield no Donny or Bradford playing.
Expect trouble.March 27, 2026 at 7:38 pm #318432Cheeky bastard’s warning fans of there behaviour tomorrow, bet they didn’t warn the National league and EFL of their behaviour originally arranging scunny and cods travelling in numbers on the same trains to both of their nearest games on the same day.
Halifax doing their bit by letting premier and EFL club season ticket holders in for only £15 and non segregated to boot.
Nothing could go wrong could it.March 27, 2026 at 8:27 pm #318434Why are they ‘cheeky bastards’?

March 28, 2026 at 7:06 am #318440If Dec’s on the bench… then he should have left him at Altrincham where he could have continued his goal scoring spree, maintained his strikers scoring sharpness and match fitness.
Seems counterproductive to have him sat on the bench for 60 minutes!Altrincham aren’t safe from relegation yet and he was helping them secure points in that battle. Plus. it’ll bugger my bet up today – as I was expecting him to be there and I’ve got them down for a draw. Lol.
They’ll probably lose now.Team:
Anyone anywhere in the back five (no ones up to spec)
Roberts Ewing Rowley Jones
Howe BeestinGive Dan a few games rest in preparation for the play offs!
Give us an edge over Halifax, as they’ll not be expecting that formation / lineup and won’t be (initially) organised to play against it.

March 28, 2026 at 7:57 am #318442If they let us play with 12 IFA then I think we have a good chance.
With the quality of NL refs you wouldn’t be surprised. I think the NL must have supplied the referee for last night’s England game. Takes no action for GBH, books Ugarte twice in front of millions and by the end of the game hasn’t booked him at all.March 28, 2026 at 7:58 am #318443Psychology – I’ve wondered about the following before.
Start a game with 10 men, play 15 mins and then bring the 11th player on.
Hopefully the score would still be 0-0 or you may even be a goal up?Opposition would surely be on a downer when you brought your ‘extra’ man on.
Nobody would do it… ain’t got the balls to.
March 28, 2026 at 8:10 am #318444think the NL must have supplied the referee for last night’s England game.
Did they have a run out last night? Another glorified training session?
World Cup… more teams, more money, less quality.
There was a time when you feared the European qualifying group draw… not anymore. It’s a procession.
Remember 1974 Poland; 1978 Italy; 1994 Denmark & HollandQualification from the UEFA groups became much easier upon its expansion for the 1994 WC.
I’d rather have it how it was.
March 28, 2026 at 8:13 am #318445Hope so IFA taking 4 grandsons today 2 for their first ever away game always like to start them with a big one.
Should certainly open their eyes to what it’s all about, does seem like the 9.08 is going to be rammed to the rafters.
Son and mates on the 8.08 about 30 of us in total tis One of the lads remembrance day they take him to.
Expecting at least 2000 of us though the true number might not be known with pay on the gate, chance for Halifax to be on the rob.1 user thanked author for this post.

Well spotted my deliberate mistake … na .. fat fingers and too many Changs more like .. prediction still same
March 28, 2026 at 1:55 pm #318454I think you got the match 18 right IFA, I don’t think Beestin Howe or Evan’s will start. Thinking radically ( something AB is resistant to) I would start with Howe rather than Whitehall and look to get as many balls through or over their defenders as possible or round the fullbacks and low into the box. Would have the element of surprise and would suit Dec. It would mean starting Evans and Boyce to add back the height at set pieces from not playing Whitehall. JB and Horton for me as full backs. Obviously Cal Roberts and Pat Jones out wide and I’d start with Rowley, Ewing and Westbrooke in midfield. Definitely would bring on Whitehall, Beestin and Dausch second half to pose questions of the Halifax midfield and defence. That said, I think another 2-2 draw on the cards!
