March 5, 2026 at 5:15 pm #317091Ah! A manager’s contract.
Worth the paper it’s written on?

March 5, 2026 at 5:33 pm #317093What’s Musselwhite done to deserve a new contract never mind improved terms.

March 5, 2026 at 6:03 pm #317095To be fair to Musselwhite, he is the one shouting instructions when we are facing a corner, while AB sits in his chair..

Encouraged every keeper he’s worked with to stay on his line?

Yes, but he’s shouting “stay on your line” to the keeper.

March 5, 2026 at 7:27 pm #317101“With the signatures now sealed on the dotted line for the management team, Scunthorpe United can confirm it falls within the football management’s remit to commence among players in the squad as we reach the business end of the season as they look to aim for a positive end to 2025-26 and shape their squad for the 2026-27 season.”
Roberts by Saturday and on from there.

March 5, 2026 at 7:51 pm #317102One can hope.
March 6, 2026 at 6:14 am #317112Signing Roberts would show the benefit of giving Butler a contract. Whatever division we are in Roberts is good enough for a contract. And clearly Roberts wants to play for AB.
It would have no impact on any other player contract talks as none could say they were better than him and deserve one moreMarch 6, 2026 at 8:32 am #317113I agree with iron64, signing/extending Roberts contract is the priority for Scunthorpe United.
Without him we do not win, not that we are a one man team, but most opposing managers mention Roberts as the main threat.
Just play him in the correct position AB !March 6, 2026 at 6:21 pm #317140Surely it would be better if the contracts were awarded at the end of the season as the way we are playing at the moment when is the next win

Well that will apply to quite a few of the squad in particular the ones out on loan anyway but your nailed on better players need signing on ASAP IMO.
