A tough game? Are you Andy Butler?
Look, he might be a bit of a narcissist and not everybody’s cup of tea but he’s promoting and helping our club. Give him a break and embrace his positivity.
I don’t think Roberts was poor, far from it. I just think, on this occasion, his decision making was questionable.
Did Roberts leave his shooting boots at home? Must have had 10-12 chances to shoot but passed instead, surely one would have gone in.

This sort of stuff got rid of Positivity Dave who, as far as I could see, was doing no harm. Be careful what you wish for.
Of course, a non-contentious issue, a yes or no situation.
They don’t, hence the all encompassing “you lot” and “Iron Bru” and my “all tarred with the same brush” post.
Many are old enough to have learned grammar, punctuation and spelling certainly.

I fear that Iron Bru contributors are being tarred with a very wide brush when an artists fine point would do.

New manager by Friday?
Well after tonight’s results we only need a point from Friday’s game to guarantee a playoff spot.
I hope AB doesn’t see this NI.
Owning a football club should not be seen as an investment, not one that produces a profit anyway.
Could be worse.

Only if we lose Roberts surely. Westbrook please.
If we play 4-4-2 with a defensive CM and (say) Roberts & Jones it leaves too much work fot the other CM IMO. You’d really need to play a diamond which wouldn’t play to the strengths of our genuine wide men.
It’s difficult to think of Rene as having a lack of imagination when you read his posts. Have you seen his poem?
Apart from that did you enjoy your day?
Forgot to say, that the ‘lead singer’ at the Hercules games has a huge PA speaker system that blasts out the songs for the entire 90 minutes of the game. Great atmosphere
Don’t mind the drummer but surely this is a step too far. Actually it’s many steps too far, how can you abuse the opposition fans, players and manager (and possibly your own) over that racket?

1.What happened to Pat Jones at HT. Causing problems attacking down the left but spent the second half as a second RB.
2.Pleased for Dec (Should have had a hat trick)
3.Why do so many of our free kicks and throws in the attacking third result in 3 or 4 passes then back to the keeper. GET IT IN THE BOX!!!!!2 users thanked author for this post.

Dec isn’t physically right to be a central striker of 3
I don’t want to play 4-4-2
He doesn’t fit anywhere.1 user thanked author for this post.

March 25, 2026 at 10:54 am in reply to: Howe Can We Not Integrate A Proven Goalscorer In To Our Team? #318302If Farrell’s loan is not extended, Butler confirmed he has contingency plans. “We’ve got players out there who are on loan, who we can call back. We’ve got a plan B, C and D,” he said.”
Mmmmmm? Who could he mean?

If we’re doing things right then that’s brilliant, no need for change. It’s the things we’re doing wrong that promotes discussion.

One example would be pointing out that we have lost X number of points after 88 minutes is not negative. It’s not expressing an opinion, it’s a fact and, as no solution had been found, why wouldn’t it be discussed on here?

I find it jaw-dropping that people have written him off when it was clear the system wasn’t suiting him rather than lack of ability. He has just about everything other than pace, and has a brilliant attitude and off the field demeanour. His playmaking, movement and finishing are right up there with the best. We are so lucky to have him, and tbh I can see him playing until he’s 40 given mobility hasn’t ever been the basis of his game. Conditioning side of game so advanced compared to 25 years ago – bonkers when you consider Shearer retired from England aged 30.
You could be talking about Mark Beck!
Invisible Matt’s wage should cover a few non-playing roles.
