I only noticed Richards once. Can you guess when? Not fair to judge on one game I know, but……

I think the intention is to make us feel like outsiders if we don’t know who his royal clowness is. In reality only 64 knows as he’s just made it up.

Observations and musings after a nights sleep, some repetition of earlier posts so, it seems, I’m not alone in what I’ve seen.
Great crowd, they deserved better, that surely can’t be our best starting XI.
Pleased to see a 4-3-3 start.
Dec Howe is not the best option on the right of a front 3.
A MF with Richards and Rowley lacks creativity, either/or but not both.
Why does Beestin look a better player as a sub than a starter?
Butterfield and Gale greatly improved things.
How does the fifth choice RB get a start?
The passing between Evans and Howe was Premiership class, 100% successful completion and boring as hell!
The ball over the top for a running MF will not always be flagged offside. A big problem that teams will exploit. Defensive line too high or CBs too slow?
Not a terrible performance but one that suggests mid-table mediocrity rather than a promotion challenge.
Must do better, maybe starting better players would help.

Interested to see this from Yeovil, a fair assessment?

“If you wanted to genetically engineer a striker that you’d love to play for you, but hate playing against you, you’d probably end up with the genes of Scunthorpe’s Danny Whitehall in your test tube. The 30-year-old opened the scoring from the penalty spot when the Iron won 3-0 at Huish Park last March and picked up a booking – standard. He’s someone who will probably empty Jos Barker’s water bottle at the first opportunity, is guaranteed to be in the referee’s ear when he’s hurled himself to the floor when the Yeovil defence looked at him sideways, but give him a chance in front of goal and there’s a good chance he’ll take it.”

Marine this time, Chester in an earlier post!! These were 2 seasons ago and you’re still using them as reasons to moan. I didn’t like it when we sold Barrie Thomas to Newcastle when we could have been promoted but I’m not still banging on about it.

And yet, you need to mention it here.
    Lol

Yes, for comparative purposes and attempted humour.

They started 25 years ago as PredictA. They were so s**** at predicting that season that they changed their name to PredictB hoping that people would think they were a new company.

Not many Steve Torpeys about, decent scoring record and assists. John Gayle didn’t score many but a couple of lads that played alongside him reaped major benefits from his presence.

Must be really encouraging for a young footballer to be trashed by your potential loan clubs fans before anyone has even seen the fellah.

Not “fans” MK (yet) just one fan, clearly peeved that another striker might push a certain other striker down the pecking order.

It was reported that he’d signed a few weeks ago but apparently the delay was due to injury. “He’ll be with us on Monday” said AB in Humberside interview.

Beck looked poor solely because we failed to play to his strengths, his record elsewhere stands up. (see also Danny Elliot) As he has rightly predicted – give the lad a chance!!

Read somewhere that the chairman is seriously wealthy. Quoted as saying “we don’t need to sell” Hopefully he’ll see sense and realise money talks, they “can’t stand in the boys way” surely!

Don’t agree !a, Ogle, Rose, Howe, Evans, Denton, Horton & JB all good enough to start IMO. Starbuck & Barrows wouldn’t be far off either.
Likely Ogle, Howe, Evans & Horton for Yeovil but I like JB’s pace at the back, I think that’s what’s lacking defensively.

Looking at this and other threads where a Season Starting line up has been proposed, no one has advanced an argument for wingbacks

Could be because we don’t have any?

I think that fc, Zanetti (& Meyba) are attributable to the late, unlamented CEO. The Club seemingly saw the light and cut the ties, a little late admittedly. It has been reported that Nor-Lait bear any losses for their activities so no risk to the Club there.
Regarding the ticket issue I have no idea, why would I know? Ask the Club.

What I don’t get is that you have enough to moan about without blaming the Club for things that aren’t of their making. If Nor-Lait failed to meet their obligations it’s hardly the Club’s fault. I think an hour with Positivity Dave would benefit you both.

To get to last seasons levels we have got to somehow replace the 20 ish goals Roberts typically contributed.

Start Dec in every game – play him for the full 90 mins … and he will smash your 20 goals target!

Not if he misses the kind of chances he missed last night. He could have played himself out of a starting spot.

    Very harsh les.
Hurst, Rose, Smith, JB, Butterfield, Denton & Richards will be pushing your selections I reckon. Wouldn’t be too unhappy with any of them as starters.
