Can’t believe the excitement on tuther side anyone would think we’re playing a Man utd game run by their club.
The legend side they put out against Leicester on the 6th of June was so underwhelming the goalie played a full 2, yes 2 full seconds for man utd, in the premiership mind.

No idea but always thought Man Utd were always the best supported “big team” in Scunny, like Liverpool up the A180 and Leeds United up the motorway

It’s a generational thing. For kids that grew up in the 80s it was Liverpool. The 90s Man Utd. When I was at school it was Leeds.

Still remember Botham’s benefit match in 1984. That was decent entertainment if I remember correctly (which I often don’t)!

In the legends game v donny the other week Darren Gibson,Fraser Campbell, Eric Djemba Djemba,Danny Simpson,Mickel Silvestre,Wes Brown and Luke Chadwick with Dion Dublin as manager was the legends,the rest made up of fans who paid to play/ fundraised to make up the squad

Afraid the friendly against Chesterfield would take preference over legends game even if it was to be on the Friday cos some numpty let Norlait in.
To be honest I was expecting a little better than Chesterfield but hey ho it’s a league club at home, guess most clubs else had got theirs already arranged, again Scunny expecting fans to fork out Friday/Sunday.
Whoever does the arranging needs to do better next season.

Might Shelvey be playing as a paying fan?

Though he never played for Man U, he’s exactly the calibre of ‘legend’ signed up to Nor-Lait Promotions, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he turns up alongside Torben Piechnik for an Anfield Legends Q+A with tickets at fifty quid a head (pie and peas included) at some point.
