Kevin Keegan Tribute

The Iron Trust has started a gofundme page to raise funds for a statue of Kevin Keegan.

I have long admired statues of Billy Brenner at Leeds, Bobby Moore at Wembley. Even Thameside has Hurst, Armfield and Perrotta outside Curzon Ashton, Stockport County have a Danny Bergara statue.

Why should we at Scunthorpe United not have something similar at our ground for a change.

Well done Iron Trust and Scunthorpe United for thinking big for once.

For that Surely a Brownsword statue or such like? I’d say more but it would sound like I was besmirching Keegan, something I would never do.

There was much talk of a Brownsword statue at the time of Jacks passing in the end the club settled for a road leading to the ground named after him. Any tribute in whatever form is a nice gesture it shows respect for former players we all admired that were important in the club’s history.
