His legs were all a-quiver.
He gave a cough,
His arm fell off,
And floated down the river.August 4, 2026 at 9:03 am #323965Tommy Cooper fan then Alcy?

Oh yes, my kind of humour.

Even worse when they add a football shirt!
August 5, 2026 at 3:52 pm #324063Even worser when it’s a black and white striped one!

🤢August 7, 2026 at 12:44 pm #324182As soon as someone dies we have to pretend the deceased was a venerable saint or we are bad people. I don’t mean we should rejoice in their death, we can have sympathy with them for being human and with their family, but criticising them for views and actions is seen as horrible. So we must pretend they were great people.
It happened with Widdecome, now it’s happening with Rod Liddle. The guy was a sexist boor and punched his pregnant girlfriend once, but any mention of this apparently makes you the bad guy for some, while glossing over it for a biased and rosy view is good. I am sure, like everyone, he had his good points, but the bad needs mentioning while many eulogise him as some great person.
There is something ironic in how he used to glory in offending others and his fans liked that, telling critics to not be so politically correct, and now they’re pearl clutching because critics think he might have been nasty.

August 7, 2026 at 7:40 pm #324206Getting a whiff of someone’s vape and it being akin to having a tube of fruit pastels rammed up your nose!

Or maybe I don’t like your comedy because it’s weak and not because I am clutching pearls?
August 13, 2026 at 12:53 pm #3245622nd callout on people with earplugs in, instantaneously changing direction without looking what’s around them. One of these feckers is going to get an earful from me in this energy sapping heat.
This could either result in me feeling ashamed for upsetting someone, or getting chased down the road by a mad bastard. Spoken from experience.

August 13, 2026 at 2:44 pm #324565I will say that earphone use is preferable to the alternative where they blast their music or videos out loud for the rest of us to hear. They should tune in more to their surroundings because what you describe annoys me, and you get similar when you deal with phone zombies who walk while transfixed on their phone screen, but I am glad they have the consideration to realise that the rest of us might not like whatever they’re tuning into.
Or, maybe I am wrong, and I am being mean in casting those playing stuff to the rest of us as selfish and inconsiderate. According to some, they’re just eager for the rest of us to share in their likes:
August 13, 2026 at 3:19 pm #324567People blasting music at full volume with their windows down in cars. Two points
1 others don’t always want to hear or indeed have their day disrupted by loud annoying music
2 I believe concentration levels are reduced for the driver in such conditions.
No hard evidence but I believe loud music in your ears is distracting from the main job in hand which is driving the car in a safe manner.August 13, 2026 at 4:21 pm #3245703. You always hear the thumping bass line rather than any actual music. Apparently this is the reason:
“Low bass has long wavelengths and can move through walls or car doors. If an audiophile wants deep bass, a large room is required to let the wave develop and keep in the same room. The interior of a car is tiny and most bass is lost to the outside. You hear the bass louder than the occupants of the car, that is why they turn it up even more.”

Nah.
What you do is say “c**t” loudly then look around at everyone else to see who said it.
😂😂😂August 14, 2026 at 9:10 am #324594Stiff shrink wrap packaging.
I came across it’s fiendish cousin today: it was sticky inside!
So even cutting it didn’t release the bits it contained. -
