I think the problem some non Bruers have is they consider Bru to be a band of brothers who speak with one voice, hence “that lot”. If they had a read they would see the diversity of opinion, it would be bloody boring if we thought as one.

    Well said.

Are the club going to let Bru sponsor any players next season given our ‘negativity’? Read a comment the other day: ‘who is this Iron Bru anyway? Never heard of them’. Only every time Roberts scores a goal at GP.

Who are IRON BRU ? Ask those members of staff – Office and Players who got dumped by the disappearing ‘owner’ I am sure they will in the blank parts of their knowledge.

Who are IRON BRU ? Ask those that were at risk from a litigation threatening previous owner that IRON BRU protected.

This is a great forum and remains independent because it did not sell out to a previous owner.

Always give benefit of doubt until proved otherwise.

Stubborn and arrogant to supporters and this latest Gateshead excuse matches others. Tell the fans what you are going to do then they can decide if they want to save hard earned money. Keep treating them this way and the gates will fall and revenues drop.

So he made 6 changes, the issue was yet again a slow start and how many times has that been said. But usual attitude “we have only lost …..” . The instruction should be get out there and make things happen – fans said they could tell instantly they were not bothered ! Our Physio would never allow that to happen.

But now he has an extended contract !

Very sad to hear this. Loved his club and his commentaries were from the heart. My wife listened to the Orient one, I was of course in Wembley,. She said it was fantastic and said Shep got very emotional at what HIS club had achieved.

Knew Shep for many years and he was a gentleman. Set up his own licensed trade business and despite all the work when you work for yourself he stayed loyal to his club. When he called it a day and retired a little of the passion went out the commentary.

    God Bless Tony. RIP.

The only time I have found IRON BRU argumentative is when someone tried to shut down the Forum to prevent Supporters fighting to save their club.

BRU stood firm when threatened on more than one occasion with legal action. All that was wanted was when people commented to watch the wording of their comments and that they had the facts to back up their statements. It made no difference which group they aligned with – they defended both equally.

Whilst the loss isn’t great I think it’s clear they are on the right path and with legacy issues being put to bed in the future I think the club have done extremely well to get to this position.

As IRONAWE says we seem to be on the right path with the board indication that the loss will almost halve for 25/26. Then followed by further reduction the season after with prudent control.

So further off field fundraising must continue and if possible increase to give fans different options to choose from and different levels of financial support on top of ticket money.

Gain promotion at the end of this season then our league donation would increase but it should not then be frittered away, we still have debts to clear. So good luck to the board.

The only problem with that was when Howe came on there was a noticeable gap in the centre of the park as he was playing more as a second striker. As long as we don’t get over run in midfield and start playing more hoof ball…

Hoof ball will not work for long in Div 2 that is a fact neither will over elaboration when passing. Need to be faster, cleaner and into space for the runner.

Looking like whatever league 2 Centre Backs are priority – based on all the comments from fans. And I said before – at home 442 works for us. We have the wingers [ Andy does sound keen about Hurst should DRFC release him].

Comments read as though someone is over elaborating by thinking too much !

Did the same last season, sometimes the supporters are right.

Check out Kieran Maguire pages regarding balance sheets. They are sobering to say the least.

Revenue has to raised to be able to make recruitment a little easier. Gain promotion to the EFL this season and the club will get a cash boost. But up to then whatever it takes – sponsoring a bit of the pitch I cannot see an issue if some want to do it and for those who don’t then they have their choice.

As yet no Euro Lottery Jackpot winner has knocked on the door so until then we do whatever it takes.

Horton and Denton are both good enough to compete at LB. A fully fit rose, Starbuck are good enough for RB. Evans and Jb good enough for CB, but will still need one or two more.

Boyce is passed it and Barrows is nowhere near good enough. Dire need of a keeper. Jones is in a similar bracket to Mahady, but with inferior distribution. Incredible shot topper, but looks unsure on claiming high balls and not too good at commanding his box.

If we get a good, solid keeper and a CB or two…we should be ok at the back.

I think 2 young and mobile CB’s are a must based on all the comments you read and hopefully as a defensive unit because when you watch the goals conceded several times some seem to lose track of ‘their’ man.

As regard Jones in goal it becomes a trait after our coaching, we make line sitters allowed little movement from that line !

Yes they have done amazing but our budget is not the biggest and some offered new contracts may move on due to our limits. And you can understand that. Should the club be fortunate to gain promotion they will obviously gain a bigger solidarity payment but will it be enough.

    Certainly many talking points ahead.

If it helps then why not ?

Do not understand the resentment. Remember they are still reducing the outstanding debt and also a budget that has us in the play-offs.

When that ‘Lottery’ winner steps forward to clear the nightmare and officially resets the club with a plus balance anything has to be considered.

Such sad news. Had watched Levi through his 2 yrs in the academy and he was skillful, always involved and never hid in a game. Scored some classy goals, certainly not greedy and contributed to the team.

Was sorry he didn’t get an extra year. Condolences to his family, friends and his former team mates who I am sure are feeling the loss of a close friend. Life is a sod sometimes.

    RIP Levi.

How many players constitutes an ‘overhaul’ Phil? 5? 7? 10?

I think 7 – 2 mobile CB’s are needed and hopefully 1 of them a leader/organiser. The other 5 should be easy to find can think of 4 already.

Well the club haven’t announced Howe as extended his loan spell like they did with Campbell the other day. Lol.

I think his loan was to season end BUT there was no recall in the first 28 days.

Now he is subject to a 24 hr recall clause.

And to all those travelling have a safe and enjoyable trip. And if you think our trip is long remember that Gateshead recently
visited and that was about 930 miles round trip and I think 57 fans made it and saw ‘the heed’ win.

It was the 2nd time TSF moved on from GP, and for me the wrong reasons.

Come the season end there will be a lot of players looking for new clubs !
And TSF may be one of them, whereas he was developing in a team at a rising club [again].
May not be so lucky next time.

Round pegs in round holes would be a start. Positive passing in front of the runner would help that bit more and with Danny play to his strengths.

Don’t understand the concept of over complication.

This pitch situation is puzzling me. Our pitch is terrible, we all agree on that, probably unique in the league in its condition. We play on it regularly, for the opposition it’s a one off. So why is it not proving to be the massive advantage that it should be? Have our players decided that they are such good footballers that they can’t possibly play on it?

The pitch may be looking a little rough but is certainly not as bad as some league clubs – Port Vale and Grimsby look far worse.

But let us not get ahead of ourselves we are not in the play-offs yet. Remember that season when disaster struck in div 1 ? When the morons raised concerns. Then look at what happened to Walsall last season.
