As I said on the other thread less than 10 points and the knives will be out for Butler.

Can’t see us matching our 2.2 ppg from last year but if we can kick off with a home win against Yeovil then beat Eastleigh, Solihull and either Boreham Wood or Harrogate. Don’t see us coming away from Carlisle or Southend with owt but Hornchurch should yield something surely?

I’ll stick my neck out and say 15 to 18 pts and 8th to 10th in the table.

Depends whether your a glass half full or half empty kind of a person I guess

Being realistic, I think the first 10 games are about avoiding being in the bottom 4 at the end of them. If we are in the bottom 4, then I think we spend the rest of the season looking for mid table mediocrity. If we are outside the bottom 4, then given that the rest of the league is not in a Rochdale or York class we may just hit a run of form to propel us to the play offs!

We need to stop conceding soft goals, was a problem last term and appears to be this term – more worrying this term
because do we have the fire power to out score opposition. We’re one point above the drop and will probably hover around that for the next few games at least.

This should have been addressed. Now, out of sheer desperation he’s gone 5 at the back after signing another two wingers. Butler is straw clutching. Unsuprisingly, it isn’t working.

Aye, if we had a manager who was a former FL defender I’m sure this wouldn’t have happened.

Ex defender or not, we’re absolutely abysmal at the back. Laughable he was suvh a good defender and yet ended up where we are with him as manager.
