Such sad news. Had watched Levi through his 2 yrs in the academy and he was skillful, always involved and never hid in a game. Scored some classy goals, certainly not greedy and contributed to the team.

Was sorry he didn’t get an extra year. Condolences to his family, friends and his former team mates who I am sure are feeling the loss of a close friend. Life is a sod sometimes.

    RIP Levi.

How many players constitutes an ‘overhaul’ Phil? 5? 7? 10?

I think 7 – 2 mobile CB’s are needed and hopefully 1 of them a leader/organiser. The other 5 should be easy to find can think of 4 already.

Well the club haven’t announced Howe as extended his loan spell like they did with Campbell the other day. Lol.

I think his loan was to season end BUT there was no recall in the first 28 days.

Now he is subject to a 24 hr recall clause.

And to all those travelling have a safe and enjoyable trip. And if you think our trip is long remember that Gateshead recently
visited and that was about 930 miles round trip and I think 57 fans made it and saw ‘the heed’ win.

It was the 2nd time TSF moved on from GP, and for me the wrong reasons.

Come the season end there will be a lot of players looking for new clubs !
And TSF may be one of them, whereas he was developing in a team at a rising club [again].
May not be so lucky next time.

Have they seen enough to be able to form a valid opinion?

Do they know what a valid opinion sounds like ?

Round pegs in round holes would be a start. Positive passing in front of the runner would help that bit more and with Danny play to his strengths.

Don’t understand the concept of over complication.

Hope someone realises that what we do on the pitch reflects in future attendances !

    But hasn’t so far.

There is only one problem at the Attis.

Listen to the post match again. The beginning is becoming a regular start to it ! That is the problem.

This pitch situation is puzzling me. Our pitch is terrible, we all agree on that, probably unique in the league in its condition. We play on it regularly, for the opposition it’s a one off. So why is it not proving to be the massive advantage that it should be? Have our players decided that they are such good footballers that they can’t possibly play on it?

The pitch may be looking a little rough but is certainly not as bad as some league clubs – Port Vale and Grimsby look far worse.

But let us not get ahead of ourselves we are not in the play-offs yet. Remember that season when disaster struck in div 1 ? When the morons raised concerns. Then look at what happened to Walsall last season.

Trust me, if that had been me the revolution would be underway.

Sadly a recent £6 win achieves nothing but I will keep trying.

Sutton are the sort of team we should thrash, but they are a banana skin waiting to be slipped upon. I know Butler won’t do it, but I’d like to see Whitehall and Farrell up front with Dausch on the left and Roberts wide right, with 4 at the back that would only leave room for two in midfield. I believe if we attacked from the off we could significantly improve our goal difference. That said, AB will hedge his bets and I’ll go for a squeaky bum 2-1!

May I add to you comments Phil ?

We are our own banana skin because simplicity is ignored and over elaboration takes control.

On commentary from Yeovil our ‘Physio’ in the 1st half mentioned many times speed of passing and direction of said passes – too many going sidewards and taking pace out of the game.

11 games left and 11 wins should be the target and not blind optimism.

I was there we were in a mixed fans area on the side of the camera shot. The pitch as people say was mud, it was a disgrace and later the Ref did say he would have called it off but they had already opened the gates !

A large Swindon supporter behind me said we could shout a bit [he was big !] anyway a cross came in for CASS and he rose seemingly in slo – mo hung there and then put in a great header, didn’t score but what a header. Anyway big man behind tapped my shoulder and said “What a great header in conditions like that – you can cheer as much as you wat and then warned the others we were his friends !

As the game went on the mud in areas was ankle deep and their lightweight wingers floated that little bit better – I was proud of us for the performance.

Left Swindon at 6pm and was back in Messingham for 9.30 had a sandwich then went on nights !!

    442 433 4231 4141 – this is the problem.

We are ‘jack of all trades’ and certainly masters, just, of 2 of them !

Said at the start of the season set a shape that works more than the others over a season, then get the square pegs for the square holes. With the substitutions if they do not need to be made then do not just for the sake of it. Stability is todays requirement.

And re focus, use what happened to Walsall last season as the warning sign. Ignore much longer and trouble beckons I fear and we should all remember that season in div 1 going well by being ‘US’ and then someone got clever and what was the end result ?

Something has changed in the dressing room.

And the final clue was Roberts on the Left for a while. Only 1 person has the pegs for the respective holes. Cannot blame the fans for any part of it and this “I know best” has in 1 month seen the gates drop from over 5000 to now over 4000 – that is a lot of money.

The fans are not being entertained they are being patronized. Yes we are in the play-offs, can it go wrong – Yes it can. Just look what happened to Walsall last season. In and out of the club people have worked to help get the club back on the up, is that going to be thrown away.

It is not defeats that hurt most – it is the nature of how we achieved that latest failure. I have supported the Iron for decades and gone to games against much bigger teams but our players never quit, they still fought for everything.

12 games left they should want to win ALL of them !

21 pts on offer so should be aiming at 18.

If targeting is the attitude then tell the supporters and they can also decide if they want to turn up !

So after a sleep the cold facts are :

Feb 8TH 3rd in form table 16 points from 18
Mar 1st Bottom in table 2 points from 18

    Home gate FEB 7th 5298
    Home gate FEB 28th 4230 – That shows a drop of 1068 in a month !

After all that work to get fans in that support is being treated with arrogance.

Why is it that in the majority of comments a common theme is lethargic passing and over elaboration as the passes go nowhere.

Sad news indeed and my condolences to his family, friends and former team mates. There is a nice item on him on the club website pre this news.

Never gave less than 100% for the fans and he was a very quiet and modest person, was a pleasure to talk to and a sad day when he left the club. Remember that cup goal – didn’t Chris Simpkin make the killer pass to him ?

    RIP Stuart.

At the time it was a stupid decision to let him go for next to nothing.

Play players in THEIR position and not the role they get given in failed formations.

    Play 442
    Pass to own players
    Play forward passes to runners
Feed crosses to big, rough Centre Forward
    Stop Chuckle brother passing

That would be a good start.

IronLion – 442 may be old fashioned but for us seems to work.

We have seen with several managers that when their over complications and excessive passing does not deliver consistently they have to admit inconsistency and go back to 442 that settles it all down again.

Priority though is round pegs in round holes.

Yes, had fought point. Disappointed with Dale. Considering the are in the box seat they looked very average.

Once again too many aimless punts forward and misplaced passes.

Not quite sure what happened with their penalty? Did Dieseruvwe touch it?

No – he ran up to the ball and then stopped followed by turning away from the ball thinking he could then go again. But you are no longer allowed that run in and stop momentarily. So Rory claimed a free kick.

Any ideas should be given to the club and let them sort things.

The only one that the club could not be consulted on was when IRON BRU did what he did – we didn’t have an owner just loyal employees who remained working for nothing.
