The club do need to explain how we have got to this mess, what did our club do to prevent it?
A season ticket holder should have been given the opportunity to buy a ticket. To log on at the appropriate time and there be none available is to deny a perk of buying a season ticket. Perhaps they should take it off as a reason to buy one!?
The number of tickets you could buy should have been set so if every season ticket holder bought their allocated number there would be say 10/20% left for general sale. As it is either us, Rochdale, the league who’s game this is or all 3 do appear to have shafted the fans. When I bought mine, I’m pretty sure there was a block of seats (maybe two blocks?) in that stand that were greyed out, so unavailable. Perhaps they will be made available?

April 30, 2026 at 10:19 am #320118Calm down.
If this Forum had been coded in the last 200 years I’d have been able to edit my entry such that it reads FV (Face Value) and not the autocorrected (by this site) FB.
Also I’ve said (twice) that the 6 per ST doesn’t feel right or have you not been able to see that through your anger?

There is an edit facility after posting at the top of the post if you’d bothered to look or maybe check your post through before posting? Just saying.
Which can only be used for a limited time after posting….
That’s a very a very unique ‘feature’.
Apologies for pointing out it’s a substandard forum.
Something else which is substandard is my bladder, due to post P.C, meaning multiple visits to the loo in the night. I’m definitely at the mercy of spelling police and the warts on this forum on here on those occasions.
Just saying….
TBH, your multiple anti-Bru sentiments and criticism of this site’s functionality are becoming tiresome, nay wearisome. There, you got the rise you were craving. You could always start a ‘Bru Functionality and Suggested Improvements’ thread on the non-football side if you’re really that interested, other than being a Wind Up Merchant? That’s if you’ve time between bog visits.

Apologies I didn’t realise you needed carrying around on a warm plate to negotiate this forum, does your Mum still wipe your butt for you aswell? Just saying

April 30, 2026 at 11:03 am #320120I’d kindly suggest you never donate to anything related to Prostate C fella if that’s your level of empathy.
It’s a shame a mod gets so wound up, over the deficiencies of this forum being pointed out, they resort to that sort of response.
Anyway back to this Rochdale ticket thread eh?
April 30, 2026 at 11:13 am #320121No doubt we’ll see YouTubers and every other Tom, Dick and Harry with no affiliation to club rock up at the game whilst genuine Iron fans miss out AGAIN. The club really do have no shame.
April 30, 2026 at 11:14 am #320122I’m not really wound up, just saying it as it is. It’s an observation. I must have missed the bit where you said your frequent bog visits were due to prostate cancer related issues. In which case, I sincerely wish you all the best and hope you won’t feel the need to use that against Bru or myself in the future. As a frequent bog visitor in the night myself, I have some empathy, believe it or not. Either way, I’ll not lose any sleep over it I’m afraid. Sorry to disappoint you.
Perhaps if you try and refrain from using your posts to take swipes at Bru and this forum’s functionality we might be able to get back on topic, as you’ve suggested?
April 30, 2026 at 11:29 am #320123All sold out without any going on general sale? Pretty poor showing again – only needed 400 season ticket holders to bag the full entitlement and then you’re done.
My biggest worry is getting to Wembley the amount of absolute tat the commercial department will start trying to sell. Will make Del Boy look like Chanel (full size cardboard cut outs being auctioned…..bonnet de douche )

That’s the way football is going look at the Premier League and the likes of Seat Unique/Vivid seats.
April 30, 2026 at 11:41 am #320126OWS said tickets available after 6.00 pm on Fanbase. Tried at 6.45 pm, all seats greyed out. Very disappointed.
Strange, I got one an hour later. Didn’t get 6 but still could have there were several dotted around.
April 30, 2026 at 11:55 am #320127Went down to the office for 10 o’clock to get clarification on the ticket situation. Glyn Sparks walked in so I asked why it was such a mess. He said that Rochdale were in complete control and we had no input. He apologised which was expected. I asked if there was the possibility of a further allocation but he didn’t know. Whoever at Rochdale made the 6 tickets purchase decision is lacking a considerable number of brain cells.
April 30, 2026 at 12:08 pm #320128No matter what you say SS Apollo and the like there is a timeline to all this.
The OWP on the 28th regarding ticketing “dialogue will continue on Wednesday with club officials and their Rochdale counterparts including fan base who operate at both clubs”
To then the next some 17 or so hours later the next being a statement you can purchase up to 6 tickets, that statement first come on at 5,15pm and within an hour at 6pm they would go on sale.
That just doesn’t last the sniff test, all bloody day and that’s the best solution to it all.
Did our club negotiate with them (they have told us porkies before) but let’s say they did one would then would question today why the hell are these paid officials still in a job.
York got to sell their Rochdale tickets why didn’t we, they did it old school queuing one season ticket one match ticket pretty simple really.
Wouldn’t be so bad if the people operating were volunteers or the manager chairman at some piddly part time outfit did all and sundry, but we’re not we’re talking a supposedly professional full time club with said officials getting a good salary.
With let me say the fans at the forefront of their minds.A one off then ok but let’s go through the previous on ticketing alone.
Let’s start off with The Boston playoff.
Told the NL wouldn’t let the club sell tickets till we knew who we were playing leaving a similar time frame to sell them as this time, low and behold once fans started moaning the club then told us they got the NL to change their mind, many on here believed the club but bearing in mind the NL hadn’t told clubs in previous seasons to do the same. I didn’t.Then we move on to Chester 4 tickets allowed per season ticket holder, maybe fair enough, if they stuck to there timescale and rules where any left would be on sale from a certain day at a certain time, only for the club to go out their way to sell all remaining tickets to fans who’d emailed the club, shafting the others who were waiting for the correct arrangement a few bruers missed out I recall.
Sorry Hereford should have been first!Hereford gate a similar rushed decision with Hereford selling the tickets, with our club sending an email link out to tickets selling within minutes of announcement. No chance of fans getting the link if not registered for marketing hence hundreds of season ticket holders had a chance of purchasing, do much so Unity Stu spat his dummy out and called it a day (well for the first time anyway) when he didn’t get one. Scunny could and should have done the ticket selling it was a perceived promotion winning game at the time after all.
Then today we’re there again, surely Apollo you can see the club aren’t that community family feel club after all, they don’t change they don’t learn they just want your money and that’s about it.
An apology is a must, and for me someone head should roll it really isn’t good enough in any form whatsoever.
