Just a quick one, has the playoff already sold out? I’ve read plenty that say it has, a few questioning this. Thanks in advance.

From what I read on Rochdale website this morning their season ticket holders had 2 days when they could by their season ticket seat/space only.
When they opened it up for general sale (15:00 today I think) then folks could buy 6.

Don’t blame Rochdale it’s scunny who allowed them to take control of the tickets.
Unlike York who were there last Saturday.
Don’t take my word for it, just type in ‘York fans buying tickets for Rochdale away game’ and it takes you to York’s FAQ page on the subject. Would put it up but don’t know how to please feel free to do so oneself.
That’s how a club who has the best interest of fans at heart behaves, a far from perfect arrangement but every season ticket holder given at least the same chance.
One day fans will grasp that the club just don’t give a shit about them only their money.

Ps,more than willing to be shown otherwise lol.

Our Club are trying to wring every bit of cash that they can out of our fans, even asking us to buy pitch squares to maintain our pitch and now this is how they treat our supporters. They cant even be bothered to tell Rochdale they want to sell tickets to our own fans for the away play-off match, as York City did. We fans have been very loyal all swason, where is the loyalty to us froM SUFC. It appears to have been too much trouble to open up for ticket sales today and sell thmm fairly. Shame on you SUFC! This is my opinion.

OWS said tickets available after 6.00 pm on Fanbase. Tried at 6.45 pm, all seats greyed out. Very disappointed.

Six per ST seems excessive however comparing this game with the York League match and then blaming, solely, the Iron seems a little odd.

Remember this is considered a cup game so we get offered up to 25% of capacity and much tighter sale timescales.

The decision to offer six was, in all probability, a joint club decision which was then communicated to Fanbase.

PS neither club will much care how all these tickets are sold especially with the right timescales – apart from ensuring their most loyal fans being taken care of. The extra five is definitely questionable though.

Not sure this method should be a surprise though. The same happened at the playoffs last year.

There’ll be loads floating about at FB for those keen to go on FB.

While awaywego will find it totally SUFC’s fault as usual, this time it seems hard to disagree with him if SUFC have passively let this happen. Who can possibly think that a season ticket holder getting five for their mates is fair?
FYO, I am away on events for both the next games so doesn’t affect but I still looks unfair

Unable to go myself due to other commitments but if 6 tickets per ST means not all ST holders who wanted to go now can’t because it sold out so quickly, then I’d be bloody annoyed if I were them. Surely 2 per ST max would have been reasonable?

One of the perks of buying a Season Ticket was that it enabled you to get priority for games with limited tickets.
I wonder how many fans who have had Season Tickets and not got tickets for Rochdale might well think twice about renewing.
Rochdale are selling the tickets for this game but I have seen on some sites that the Club have been in contact with Rochdale about how many tickets we could have but surely during these talks they could have insisted say 2 tickets per Season Ticket Holder.
Did nt this fiasco happen last Season for the play off final ?
It’s no good the Club saying it’s all down to Rochdale but they should be looking after the interest of their fans and seem to have not done this.
It seems to me that the Club could get a lot of bad feeling over this ticket allocation.

I’m a season ticket holder and was able to get tickets – but I bought only what I needed, not the six available. It does seem a bit excessive that approx 400 fans could wipe out the entire allocation.

    Calm down.

If this Forum had been coded in the last 200 years I’d have been able to edit my entry such that it reads FV (Face Value) and not the autocorrected (by this site) FB.

Also I’ve said (twice) that the 6 per ST doesn’t feel right or have you not been able to see that through your anger?

Round 1 in the playoff semifinal to Rochdale then.
Iron website says “ Rochdale have set it to a maximum of six tickets per account holder.” Easy way of knocking the noise level down from us on Sunday, Season ticket holder brings 5 mates, family, kids etc for a day out and the allocation is sold out.
Played us like a cheap fiddle with that one.

Our massive fanbase awakens yet again at the end of the season and snaps up all available tickets in record time.
If the football gods smile upon us and we get to Wembley bit worried it might not be big enough to accomodate us. At least short term fans and irregular attenders seem to be sorted.

Just the truth – you don’t like it do you?

As I also said above – it’s shouldn’t be a surprise as the same occured last year.

I predicted it would happen two weeks ago on here. If this forum was any good you’d be able to search for what I wrote.

You seem to have plenty of time to argue nonsensical arguments – have a search.

The only people I really feel sorry for are the ST who missed out due to not receiving the link and code or those aged or vulnerable ones not able to use them.

If you did miss out CMC (and you attend matches unlike some on here) befriend a ST for next season would be my advice….

Not everything shit that happens is the club’s fault!

Read the social media post wording carefully:

Season ticket holders who have registered their account on FanBase will receive communication of a link and password to access the allocation to purchase tickets from 6pm.

So, to be fair to the club, I think they have on numerous occasions told people to link their ST and the Fanbase app for these ticket comms to work. Perhaps those who didn’t receive the Rochdale link failed to link ST to the app.

Or, perhaps it’s an email issue and they have incorrect spam filter settings, or there’s some time lag on delivery etc?

    That’s a very a very unique ‘feature’.

Apologies for pointing out it’s a substandard forum.

Something else which is substandard is my bladder, due to post P.C, meaning multiple visits to the loo in the night. I’m definitely at the mercy of spelling police and the warts on this forum on here on those occasions.

Alcy’s thread rings true about ripping people off, there’s no doubt tickets will turn up on SUFG, Stuff for sale in Scunny, Scunny chitter chatter or the Brigg/Barton selling pages

If there was tickets available today i would have got one, but that’s not the case

… or those aged or vulnerable ones not able to use them

The price of living in the digital world: If you don’t join in you’re dead.

Somehow, provision should be made for these people. I don’t know what that would look like in the real world, but imho it is unfair otherwise.

The club do need to explain how we have got to this mess, what did our club do to prevent it?
A season ticket holder should have been given the opportunity to buy a ticket. To log on at the appropriate time and there be none available is to deny a perk of buying a season ticket. Perhaps they should take it off as a reason to buy one!?
The number of tickets you could buy should have been set so if every season ticket holder bought their allocated number there would be say 10/20% left for general sale. As it is either us, Rochdale, the league who’s game this is or all 3 do appear to have shafted the fans.
