I can see the score, 2-2, hardly overwhelming.
Anyone go?
Scorers?
Report?
ThanksJuly 18, 2026 at 7:24 pm #323210We were 2 up at half time. Evans and Barrows – lost of nearlies.
Sembie-Ferris and the Roberts for the equaliser.2nd squad changed on 60 mins, Roberts equalised on 62 mins. !
Not there just got this from ‘X’.
July 18, 2026 at 7:30 pm #323212I was there. Jones was probably the stand out player, Barrows scored a free kick from our own half. Changed formation in the second half and looked defensively weak and offered very little going forward. I think Jones has secured the no.1 jersey – make of that what you will…
July 18, 2026 at 7:59 pm #323213We will regret not having a decent keeper come the start, it’s all about fitness but I do worry about the second string and some of the first string tbh.
July 18, 2026 at 8:09 pm #323216July 18, 2026 at 8:27 pm #323217I’m not quite sure what formation we were playing, but there looked to be 3 people playing CB’s..
Whatever it was didn’t work.
All at sea defensively and created nothing going forward.
First half was decent enough though, but Spalding did look dangerous going forward throughout.

July 18, 2026 at 8:49 pm #323218Just got back, didn’t get in the game for 20 mins then we looked pretty decent Jones stood out causing problems on both sides of the pitch, Gayle looks half decent nice to have another big man up top, didn’t turn up for the second half and the subs totally ineffective, what’s Butler doing bringing on a trialist at right back when we have 5 already in our team.
Nice little modern ground built 2 new stands at either end about 10ft high and 10ft depth with only one step but hey enough covering for whatever crowds they’ll attract.
Same again Jones is definitely the number 1 out the 2 of them Campbell just didn’t look confident.1 user thanked author for this post.
July 18, 2026 at 9:12 pm #323220Cracking 10,400 at Southend today now that’s how you make money in friendlies.
We’re playing Leeds next Saturday unfortunately it’s behind closed doors.1 user thanked author for this post.
July 19, 2026 at 8:57 am #323224That 5 or more at the back will happen – you can sense he has not learned a thing !
And yes why another Right Back ? There must be other trialists in anything but RB wanting an opportunity.

July 19, 2026 at 11:17 am #323227Could be a thanks but no thanks to that right back, seem to think he did the same with another trialist last season.
If that the case than ok.July 19, 2026 at 12:57 pm #323229Sounds like he’s Bangladeshi so might be a Roj connection

If that the case than ok.Respect to you but with so many RB’s on the books what is the point.
Get someone in who plays in a role that we could be short in.July 19, 2026 at 6:49 pm #323238No I meant it was his final farewell. Hopefully.
