Revised ground regulations.

I was unaware that the club operated a policy of not allowing under 14’s entry to matches unless accompanied by someone over 18.
Apparently this has now become a regulation for National League.
Yet I remember attending games at OSG under 14.
Do when did this come in, and why?

No idea when it came in but Scunny haven’t stuck to the policy up to now, grandkids have gone in by themselves since aged twelve ish.
Next they’ll be telling us that the young uns have to stay with said adult.

It has only just been introduced. Presumably it will start when the new season starts.

Could lose quite a few youngsters on a match day. Worse still,it may encourage them to do something else and never return.

I can’t see the Club going against the ruling as it could open them up to legal action if anything untoward were to happen.

Think I was probably eleven when I first used to go to the OSG with my mates.

2/6d pocket money on a Saturday. If we were at home that’s where I’d spend it. If we were away it would be down to Sherman’s Model Shop for a Series 1 Aifix kit!

Same as NI started going to the OSG with mates at 11 if I had the money.
First team, reserves or juniors didn’t matter.

Was partial to an airfix kit as well back then.

If couldn’t have attended games without an adult I would never been able to go my old Mum had no interest in football bless her.
Hopefully it doesn’t stop any of the youngsters from been able to attend but I think there will be some in the same situation as I was

Been in operation for years now, no problems noted just a tick box exercise.
As if they’re gonna challenge anyway what do they get paid minimum wage.
Never was challenged on being a senior and I started at Reading in 2010 when only 54, barcodes don’t know your age!
