Agh the good old promotion season, the one where we had to go through the playoffs instead of winning the league which we should have done comfortably.
I’ll be generous and only start at the 14th of September that season going through to boxing day it was pretty dire watching to say the least, just lived off that great start 20 points from the first 8 games 7 points clear at the top of the before the Scarborough game if I’m not mistaken, then for the next 3 months we had the we’re still top of the league guff.
A draw at Newcastle that is Newcastle town mind a defeat to Guisley a defeat to Warrington Rylands yes not even Warrington town though we only managed a draw against them on the 7th of September hence the generous start date of the 14th.
Not even to mention the win at Marine oh f I mentioned the win at Marine.
Yes last season was better I’ll give you that, but to many times we didn’t turn up and found out it was intentionally in quite a few games a thing that should never be acceptable to fans from a manager.
You always confuse the aim of the club and your own expectations Awaywego, yes maybe we should have won the league but we achieved promotion which was the intended aim of the club, job done.Thats how the people running the club will see things, you can see things however you wish but the club will probably respond with “whatever” job done. Until you finally have the chance to run the club Awaywego which will probably be never then you will have to put up with the people running the club setting their goal agenda season upon season while you make do with “whatever”.
