Paddy clearly thinks we will be lucky to score one goal… and can’t see us adding to it.
I wish I was a s confident about us winning as you lot seem to be. Those 3 losses last season really hurt and highlighted that we weren’t good enough. What we can guarantee is that there will be a very good crowd, the sun will be shining and the ref will be crap. Everything else is in the melting pot, I’m still trying to teach my Missus the names of the new players, there are a lot of them! Safe journey down, those of you that make the trip.

I disagree with Rene ( a rare thing I know). With 2 defensive midfielders, it will be difficult for them to play through us and with Horton and Ogle with two wide players tracking back, difficult to go round us. If the 2 CBs step back 3 yards, it will be difficult to go over us. It’s being creative when we go forward that would concern me. Butterfield is the answer, he needs to start, it’s who leads the line. If we play Whitehall like yesterday we will end up hoofing balls in his general direction. If Whitehall is prepared to look for space and do a bit of movement Butterfield may find him in space, facing goal. You could use Howe in this role put if we resort to hoofball then Howe will get nothing. Gale may be ok in the role, Parker too. We probably would nick a couple of goals and when Butterfield isknackered, sub him with Beestin. I think the defensive issues are fixable with a change in personnel and weak of training. It’s the creativity that concerns me. Midfield is short on this.

That was against last season’s Iron mate. This one looks a different proposition, though it’s early days. There are some concerns about team line up, tactics, link up play, certain players, and most of all I think, managerial choices, decisions and gameplanning.

Bloody hell rootshallbloke keep it simple just tell your the ones in the blue shirts, and that second half you kick the other way to avoid confusion.
Don’t worry their little minds with all the other stuff.
Are pubs ok for away fans around Prittlewell and is the fish house chippie any good.She’s pretty good at remembering them once she’s seen them a few times. As for Pubs, the Club have bought the Spread Eagle during the close season, and there is now a fan zone there, but for home supporters only at the moment. The West Road Tap is worth a visit, very decent beer, but it is very small. There’s the Railway in East Street, near Prittlewell Station that allows well behaved away fans, but other than that its pubs in the high street. The Fish House is still going strong, and as always the food very good.

Big big difference in cost with turn up on the day and advanced tkts and always a gamble with advanced especially when or if the bad weather comes. Just got Donny to LKX for Shots game Nov 21st for £27.35 return which I didn’t think was bad on a Sat. Lucky last season with DAZN as Woking game was moved forward on same day, anything other than that and we were snookered.
