‘Fans would be delighted to have the opportunity to sing an apology to Robbie I’m sure.’
Sarcasm aside, don’t worry, I’m sure there’ll be plenty of frothing neanderthals ready and willing to vent their life frustrations at him in meaningless expletive ridden diatribes.
‘other managers understand’.
Which manager’s are you referring to?
Weakened team at Gateshead – unacceptable
Weakened team on Saturday – essentialDon’t agree with either of those claims. It wasn’t ‘unacceptable’ to field a weakened team at Gateshead. It was very poor too field a side with so many changes and not give travelling fans an idea this might be happening to save the time and expense going (though awaywego apparently only goes for the craic regardless so…), His excuse and doubling down was poor too.
It’s not ‘essential’ at all to play a weakened team on Saturday. In my opinion, the starting eleven for Tuesday needs more game time to work on tactics, passages of play and shooting. If you don’t believe he would get pelters for playing a weakened team on Saturday and losing Tuesday, I strongly disagree. Evidence for boot sticking in from a section of the online fanbase suggests otherwise.
If he plays a weakened side but wins on Tuesday and the semi, his decision will be celebrated. If they lose Tuesday or win but lose the semi, he’ll get pelters from the Butler Boo Boys.
Is that the name of the new bar at Matlock Town’s gaff?
Some consolation then. Good to hear.
They were crazy – drinking Watneys Party Sevens?
Despite losing at GP, ‘the ‘end’ looked well drilled. Don’t fancy it at all. Not on our form.
Just finished watching on DAZN. Like a training match for both sides. No one over committing, pedestrian, etc. If the plan is to take it easy before the playoffs and it pays off, all well and good. If it doesn’t, questions will be asked about dropping any momentum.
Never heard of it Deerey, just watched the trailer it looks like my kind of film.
‘Here hare here’. Worth a watch awaywego. It’s a classic.

Sounds more like Withnail & I!
You never had a soapy massage on Akys Warren I-A? Who hasn’t – should be the question.
But not less handsome :)
They’ve nothing to play for in the league and have a Wembley final to look forward to. Could be that they’ll rest a few?
‘You want some ‘tash? I’ll give it ya’
Was ‘save travels’ deliberate?
I think it’s called ‘doubling down’

Wanting an away fixture is not so traitorous thinking as you imply simonsays. Nothing wrong with preferring an away fixture given some of our decent performances against good sides. Home form has hardly been sparkling recently particularly in the trenches.
How do the majority of their fans behind the goal see the game with all those bloody huge flags being constantly waved? Ridiculous.
Aye. Pretty dim. I’ll be at those playoffs though – unlike some others
Xxx level ‘bantz’ tbf

Not Laws anyway – though I believe Burnley fans want rid of Parker so who knows…
I reckon Eno’s what he’s doing.
That is good. Very good. Worthy of a ‘bad-um tish’.

Absolutely pointless but every time I see ‘Butler Keeps Winning’ I’m reminded of ‘Boys Keep Swinging’ by Bowie. Apropos of nothing.
‘how can you be positive all the time without being false.’
Despite lacking a question mark, it’s a fair point. This might be the most philosophical thing I’ve ever seen you post awaywego. Or, a load of tripe.
I don’t think the Bru naysayers realise how much we’re not so much a ‘band of brothers’ but rather a disparate set of arsey blokes, not short on disdain for each other but occasionally acquiescing.

It’s a fair comment about Dennis Leary and a classic routine – well worth a watch. I doubt there’s a connection though. Or is there?
On it’s way out in Hungary:
BBC News – Orbán era swept away by Péter Magyar’s Hungary election landslide – BBC News https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cd9vg782kx7o
‘Band of brothers’ brought a wry smile.
You’re right. One offer to leave, the other one is a proposal that allows them to stay. Both rejected all the same.
Scrutiny the whole of the English football fan base will have scrutinized him, Does make you wonder where the money is coming from though and how he’s been allowed to go near a football club again with what he supposedly did at Scunthorpe.
Not cheap the improvements he’s made and making by the way.I see the cricket club have refused his two offers to leave – one’s for £1.5m! Blimey, that’s a huge amount for someone with no obvious income streams apart from the club revenue. Must be a magic money tree, or summerts. Bottom line is, looks like it’s going to get messy. Pattern developing maybe?
In all seriousness, Rowley gets my vote.
