Tend to agree with Siderite’s musings on this one. Definitely on Tuchel on the whole but more complex than just on all on him. Yes, his subs backfired but players bottled it too. And ultimately, the quality is not up to Spain or France. I was pretty confident they’d beat Argentina, and up to the first goal, I think that was looking valid. We can be forgiven for believing they’d push on for a second goal the way they’d been approaching games up to that point. The amount of space the World’s best player had to run riot was criminal. As Messi said afterwards, it felt like they were giving up so they took the game to them. Again, that’s on the players too, not just Tuchel.

Here’s a thought:
Both England and France changed winning tactics for the semis, resulting in Fanny’s dream final.
Draw your own conclusions. The use of terms like ‘props’ and ‘adorbs’, which seems to be an appropriation of response options offered to lazy / unoriginal social media platform users.
Nothing to do with any merit in tin hattedness, both countries got it wrong: the manager for England, France I haven’t analysed but they certainly didn’t turn up and Spain out thought and played them.
If Pep wants it they should bite his hand off. Doubt he’d want to nick his mate’s job though.
Can’t be many people left who still believe gammons harking back to a supposed golden era before the 80s isn’t anything more but a thinly disguised opportunity for a bit of good old fashioned racism and jingoism.
‘One nil, and you fecked it up’ is the truth. Shame because he seemed to be getting it right on the whole before tonight. Hope they stick with him. Unfortunately a game too far for Tommy as tactics go. I do believe he’s got something good going though
Aye, that was us all over wasn’t it. Tuchel got that wrong. Gamble that backfired. C’est la vie. Were they Scunthorpe in disguise? Tonight it seemed so.

Lol, thin bin bags! Good shout though.
It’s true, I’ve been listening to a lot of Orange Juice lately.

Apparently it was bracing.
What do you normally pay?
Ah right, I was taught opinions are usually prefaced with ‘I think’.
‘Perhaps it would help everyone if a certain group’s religious leaders stopped shouting about domination, conversion etc.’
What’s it like having American fundamental Christians living next door?
In a double benefit initiative I understand for a fiver a go you can have a slash on the pitch square you’ve bought.
What day you going?
‘VAR will be under orders to review every English tackle to see if they can spin a red card out of it.’
Will they? Do you pay for this knowledge on FIFA Insider?
At university, my maths lectures were just one long Marxist diatribe. “Matrix Algebra” was obviously just a cover name to fool the dyslexic. Meanwhile the true guardians of objective history and free from indoctrination were, of course, the Sun, the Daily Mail and Daily Express – available only to those who hadn’t been tricked by all that “education” nonsense
Guardians of objective history?
The Sun The Mail The Express?
Try googling “Hoorah for the Blackshirts”
The Daily Mail and The Daily Express certainly have a dark history, The Daily Telegraph and The Times were not much better, as for The Sun, I don’t have to comment on that rag.My reading of the post was that it was best consumed with a large dose of irony.

I’m not saying it’s the case here, but I know I’ve said ‘We won’t get anything done if we run everything past you’ endless times to clueless managers or those that create problems that don’t exist. I also know one current top down style manager who refuses to consult staff on anything, then wonders why they’re not playing ball. All I’m saying is, that type of phrase can be interpreted various ways.
I don’t think fans expect too much, but they need to be engaged and feel respected. If the club doesn’t take supporters along with them, they can’t be surprised when initiatives fail.

I’d wager you are the supporter who would prefer NLN. Insanity.
I’m losing the plot.
Have we got a Hugh on the books or not?
Back in the 60s at John Leggot, Old Nick – teacher of some form of English – liked to attract the attention of pupils by shrieking ‘Hugh boy’ at the top of his voice to any inattentive pupil. (More often than not it was to my late, lifelong friend Ray Nimmo.)Lol, is it Apropos of Nothing Day Les?
Plain to see who’s living rent free in your head Alcy!
Sending best wishes to Andy.
Maybe it’s in the pipeline?
Maybe a bit Stuart Little, but though maybe ‘lower caste’ in the club’s eyes, you’re as a big (or ‘proper’) fan as you feel. For instance, I doubt someone who doesn’t pay for exclusive goggling of players scratching their nacks through the glass players tunnel at Man City view themselves as lesser supporters. The club probably view them as cash rich idiots.
Are you sure this wasn’t conducted by telegram?
People doing that snorting snotty thing very loud in public. Get a grip!
It’s way too big for the screen. Though with a transparent background their logo colours might get lost in the pitch? Better still would be to make it transparent and stick it top right against the sky backdrop. Less going on up there. And make it smaller but still legible.
