Anyone at the Baths Hall last night to see Jules Holland? Rockin good show over some 2.5h from a 20-piece band with a full brass section, and some great support from Ruby Turner and others. PLus the very tuneful Sumudu Jayatilaka, a Scunny lass and a natural talent.

This one just keeps going round in my head.
It was on a “Sampler” I bought in 1968 for the princely sum of 14/6d.
The sampler was called “You can all join in”.
Had other great tracks on it.

RIP drummer Paul Hammond, who I knew for a short while a few years before his untimely death in 1992 aged 40. Such a waste. A very talented musician and lovely bloke. Reminded that he’d have been 74 now after seeing Carl Palmer, who he replaced in Atomic Rooster, watching the BBC Proms Prog Rock programme.

Steve Wright at the end of the clip says ‘I’m sure that drummer doesn’t even know who he is’. Absolute tosh as far as I know. He really got in to drink and drugs during post Atomic Rooster days with his next band Hard Stuff, encouraged by John Gustafson, the lead singer and a big drinker.
