You’ll get all this mind blowing, earth shattering Iron news anyway awaywego. Just a bit later than a few others. Add it to the list of things that slow down in later life.

‘Someone (on here or the Facebook cult page) once slagged John Staff off because he knew the exact ‘pantone numbers’’

I think I asked what the number was in reply to Saleiron. I asked out of curiosity and genuine interest though it did amuse me. I would never slag off John Staff either. Huge respect for him and bought several of his books. In fact I don’t recall anyone on here slagging him off so this is either a misunderstanding or perhaps happened on another site.

Been stifled plenty of times last season in the league. Just not by his own defence. Plus City were pretty leaky.

Does Trump even know what proper football is? That aside, well Arfur Daley.

Shame the USA side are American. I like their style.

Joe Hart would have dragged his team off the pitch, apparently.

    Meanwhile the voice of reason:

“Paraguay tried to wind up the France players, little shoves and nudges but not enough to get a yellow card,” former Scotland winger Pat Nevin told BBC Radio 5 Live.

On another note, can you imagine pre-VAR the ridicule a referee would have received if he’d judged a player offside because his foot looked an inch ahead of a defender?

Enjoyed the France V Paraguay game. Yes, Paraguay took it a bit too far with the dark arts and shithouesery but for the majority of the game the game plan worked. We see similar antics in the lower and non leagues. Media will vilify Paraguay’s antics but it just reinforces why ‘modern football is rubbish’. Game in the higher echelons is too sanitised IMO. Is it a contact sport or not? Game’s gone. Bring back the likes of Chopper Harris and Bites Your Legs Hunter on a field of mud.

Okay, maybe not, but you get the point. It’s a media and advertising circus. Like a bit of shithouesery is a war crime. Ridiculous.

But if it had been England 3-2 aet Cabo Verde. We wouldn’t have been talking about how good CV were but how shit England had played.

That’s because England would probably have been shite and been knocked out

Went to bed at half time and missed all the fun. Couldn’t stay awake. Some of us have been working all week!

Just caught the highlights. Brilliant equaliser for 2-2 and loved how the keeper outsmarted Messi on that free kick. Despite his advancing years, does he fancy Lincolnshire in the winter? Call it philanthropic.

    4-3-3

    L Jones

    Ogle
    Evans
    C Howe
    Horton

    Richards
    Butterfield/Beestin
    Rowley

    D Howe
    Whitehall
    P Jones

Shitloads of options from the bench and that’s before the trialists and loans arrive!

Hold hard there, young man! Are you suggesting we’re not signing a world class keeper before the season starts? There’ll be some filthy pants and public meltdowns from certain quarters if we don’t sign a Raya level no.1

That disallowed Croatia goal: Be interested to know how much contact ‘Snicko’ needs to detect before it triggers ‘contact’. If it’s someone’s hair, it clearly wasn’t real contact. Also, immediately after that the ball hit a Portugal defender’s head. Is that what triggered it? I’d be asking to see the evidence with timings of ‘contact’ on the monitor if I were Croatia because I can’t see contact with the Croatian player’s head.

Unfortunately it would seem that a lot of clubs are jumping on the milk the fans bandwagon not just ours. Stand firm and if you don’t want to give any more don’t.
If fans start to walk away they will change. If there is enough happy to part with their money good luck to them. Just look at the number of shirts they sell. The price of replica shirts these days amazes me but if you are keen to buy why shouldn’t the club make some money.
Just look at England shirts at almost £100 but they are selling.

    Agree with all that.

Ha, of course, you did it because of your bleeding heart. Not because you’re a cumudgeon!

Contacted them myself, (contact form top of their page) to let them know my feelings.

Asked them to stop their money grabbing and told them imo it’s tarnishing the club with all the begging.
    I await a reply lol.

What if they reply, ‘start coming to home matches more and we might give a toss’?
