I think I asked what the number was in reply to Saleiron. I asked out of curiosity and genuine interest though it did amuse me. I would never slag off John Staff either. Huge respect for him and bought several of his books. In fact I don’t recall anyone on here slagging him off so this is either a misunderstanding or perhaps happened on another site.

Enjoyed the France V Paraguay game. Yes, Paraguay took it a bit too far with the dark arts and shithouesery but for the majority of the game the game plan worked. We see similar antics in the lower and non leagues. Media will vilify Paraguay’s antics but it just reinforces why ‘modern football is rubbish’. Game in the higher echelons is too sanitised IMO. That disallowed Croatia goal: Be interested to know how much contact ‘Snicko’ needs to detect before it triggers ‘contact’. If it’s someone’s hair, it clearly wasn’t real contact. Also, immediately after that the ball hit a Portugal defender’s head. Is that what triggered it? I’d be asking to see the evidence with timings of ‘contact’ on the monitor if I were Croatia because I can’t see contact with the Croatian player’s head.
