Think it may be Campbell time soon.

Sounds like he went in hard at half time and at the end awaywego.
It must be disappointing for a swathe of fans that he’s not being petulant and getting angry with interviewers. Another positive.
Think I need to change docs…
I think there’s enough quality in the team to be mid-table at least. On paper.
Another honest assessment from Butler, and this time pointed out some of the main problems of another disappointing performance. And he acknowledged it’s up to him and the coaching staff to get it right for next Friday. Can’t say he’s hiding behind anything or being petulant and childish this season. Tbh, we need to see that anger and fight from the team from KO, not just after they concede a goal:

I wouldn’t call for his head after 3 games IA but he is rightly under a lot of scrutiny at present. The issues with the playing and coaching side are broader than 3 games, in my opinion. Fingers crossed Butler and the squad find the answers.
A few positives today. There are goals in the squad. They have the ability to play on the front foot and dictate the game, when they feel like it.

I’d like to say the 2 goals were based on good management but it looked like sheer desperation.
Surely the penny will now drop that playing Howe up top on his own is ludicrous with that type of non-service?

Reckon he’ll be our manager one day ☝
Sooner than we think at this rate.
To top it all off, Butler doesn’t seem to have many hands left to play.

Hissy fits or not, there will be plenty of questions and concerns. All legitimate and fair, based on what I’ve seen of that mess.
Putting that aside, what do you think Butler is doing right this season IA? I’m struggling to identify anything, and I’ve defended his flak in the past.

‘entertaining’ doing some heavy lifting

Ditto their third.
Could’ve sorted this mess out in pre-season

Dissolving defence again. One step forward two back
Rinse and repeat

Is it too much to ask of them to pass the ball to each other? Devoid in so many areas. Formation’s a mess. Are they actually training in the week?

I’m assuming Beestin is the lone target man in that line up? Why no Parker or Gale if Whitehall isn’t deemed fit enough?
Edit: didn’t see D Howe in the 11
Well he’s here, has played, and our league form is currently
P2 W0 D1 L1, Pts 1.So what’s gone wrong?
And I wonder if many EFL clubs are still Scouting Butler lolHe’s played, but not enough and not started.
Rarely go on it, apart from ticket purchases
Used to be one of those Deery.
Saturday Priory at 11:00 – that naff Mansfield Ales pub in town for a couple before Iron & Steel club while pubs were shut. Back to Paddy’s club for weekly band practice. Then off to Baths for the nights entertainment.
In great shape to play football Sunday morning without seeing you own bed (if you got lucky). Now 3 or 4 pints and I’m peeing for England.
Was the Mansfield beer pub, The Bell & Anchor? What era was this? Our paths may have just crossed some Saturdays!
Aye, decent long interview. Speaks with his heart on his sleeve and humble. Whether he could step up to head coach material is an unknown but I do hope the club do everything they can to keep him around. Personally think he needs to be starting now to begin games with that quality, composure, experience and eye for a pass we seem to be lacking. Someone to control the game from the off. Set the tempo, boss the game and demand better link up play. A great asset.

We use to use the term ‘bombproof’ for people who could still talk coherently and walk a straight line after being in the pub all day and night.
Hope it doesn’t end in tears.
Thought you might be posting about slow burning high control dynamics of influential individuals in football supporter communities MKI.
Or, the stay at home king of sobriety, Jack Grealish. Which would have been even more incredible.

Correct he won’t
Maybe true but I do have sound judgement.
And a reasonable sense of humour based on the above
Sooner entertain the likes of Matty Lund if he was available

Levi would add some bite, passion & desire to our midfield.
Are you sure? 30 appearances in 3 years for Harrogate?
And how long are going to be happy with the club continuing to pay Smith? SI The full 2 years.
The club can I’ll afford to be paying anyone who’s not even turning up for work.
This might clarify the situation a bit for you awaywego:

‘See, you probably do remember, but don’t want to. It doesn’t fit your agenda’
Lol, why are you so mistrusting and think something else is going on when it probably isn’t?
I’m not remotely aware that happened, if it actually did! I was too busy celebrating the following week to even notice.
