Untill he goes out on loan he’s now a wage thief.
Yes have to agree .. surely he should become a free agent or be paid on a first team paid as you play minutes basis as he isnt contributing anything. Contract terminated by mutual agreement and he can leave tomorrow.

Absolute garbage reasoning, has he refused to play, train? don’t reckon so and it certainly hasn’t been reported. He could still be picked to play because he’s under contract, it’s a bit like saying if a player goes on the transfer list should he be stopped his wages which he is perfectly entitled to. If the Iron ripped up his contract and stopped paying him they would be in a lot of legal trouble via the PFA and quite right too.

August 20, 2026 at 6:02 pm #325046Cheers Deerey, now we’ve heard the masters voice which was needed (nothing should have got out without that explanation) we saw what it led to speculation and opinions here there and everywhere.
My take is Connor’s not happy not getting near the first team and wants game time bit like Dec last season but at least Dec had done the business so fans did have more of a point.
Butler is the manager with only so many places available to fill, his decision and that’s the way it should be.Not got the games nowadays to force your way into the team like when Kvv was dropped he was scoring for fun in run out games and got back in the side.
As did Dec at Altrincham.
Hope he sorts himself out and pushes for game time starting with the NL cup.August 20, 2026 at 7:56 pm #325049“My take is Connor’s not happy not getting near the first team and wants game time”
You’ve not been listening then.
August 20, 2026 at 8:18 pm #325050Not right at home not right at the club family comes first and he’s not inline he’s behind others, in the first 40 seconds.
I listened, and my take on it is still if he were playing there probably wouldn’t be the issues he’s got being so far away from home, was going to say sat on his arse but he ain’t made the bench to sit on his arse. I believe most of us in that situation might say f it.August 20, 2026 at 9:42 pm #325052Did his wife move here a few months ago ?. Smith gave an interview a month or two ago about being more settled and feeling more like himself. I’m sure it mentioned his partner had moved down to be with him.
