And our club flog virtual pitch patches at top dollar more than most other clubs, that’s not like scunny is it lol, and you only get a digital certificate and very little else plus it’s only for one year.
Should do what they do up here at Tynedale RFC with their sponsored pitch squares.
At the end of the final game of the season (which coincidentally was against Scunthorpe this year) they let a cow onto the pitch and which ever sponsor’s “square” it deposits a pat in wins the lottery!
I was at the game but didn’t hang around to hear the result as it took said beast an hour and a half to perform!

“He’s built a new sports bar”
May 15, 2026 at 8:25 am #320820May 15, 2026 at 9:14 am #320823When’s Awaywego coming on to defend him ….again 😂
May 15, 2026 at 10:41 am #320824Might be busy arranging to take on the MTFC Sports Bar? That or buying a used car off Arthur Daley.
May 15, 2026 at 11:29 am #320825Surely honest Dave doesn’t need defending.

“He’s set up a wonderful new fan investment scheme, like he did with us, just before looking to get out. That money will definitely be invested in the club and not cause a headache for the next owner.”
May 15, 2026 at 1:06 pm #320833Guess you’ve not read the club article on it if you did you would see them having a dig at our pitch square scheme, they only expect to sell 50/100 of them, it’s not an investment scheme.
May 15, 2026 at 1:10 pm #320834I don’t particularly care if a crook has a dig at his former club, as if he is in some position to look down on anyone with moral superiority. When you look at twitter, there are plenty on there, from Halesowen, Brackley and others alongside Scunny and Bury with negative views on dodgy Dave. Seems everyone knows what he’s about apart from the few who want to kid themselves because he had a tacky bar built.
Only Dave’s spending always comes to an end and it’s definitely not because he never had the money to really commit.
May 15, 2026 at 1:23 pm #320836If Dave decides to end the spending surely that’s up to him.
Wharton and Swanny did the same most owners call it a day at sometime and move on.
Look on here the clamour for years on here for Swanny to move on without appreciating that money would be needed for him to move on, not that it mattered it was never going to be bruers buying the club.
On that what you believe about Hilton surely that’s all about what you deserved for our club.May 15, 2026 at 1:36 pm #320837If dodgy Dave ends interest in his projects, be it football or business, quickly (as he often does), and it’s not because of money, but boredom, then he should not involve himself since such projects require long term commitment and the fans do too. Instead of fumbling around for pitiful excuses like a few fans on a message board forced him out, players and staff had the tenacity to ask for wages they are owed, managers playing games or how all and sundry have wronged him.
Ultimately I don’t buy his fairy story of building a family legacy, such repeated behaviour isn’t the hallmark of someone who has legitimate money to sustain a club, and this looks like another venture he is trying to get out of after not being able to match the funds promised over anything else.

I found the recent long X interchange between Forever Iron and ‘Francis Austin’ quite entertaining when I read it all last night.
May 15, 2026 at 2:12 pm #320839Any comments on SUFG? Hiltons heroes re-enacting?
May 15, 2026 at 2:13 pm #320841Francis Austin, who is definitely not Dave, despite a previous Francis Austin account being linked with Hilton.
May 15, 2026 at 2:18 pm #320842Now allegations of legal threats made by Matlock against those who have commented on social media about the decision to scrap the women’s team. Seems the women’s team are the current bunch of nasty guys out to get poor, honest Dave, by not just going along with anything he says.
May 15, 2026 at 2:24 pm #320843Legal threats by someone who commented on social media, now let me think where have I heard that before. Wouldn’t be Swanny against a bruer would it.
May 15, 2026 at 8:28 pm #320858Ryan Cresswell back again as manager
May 17, 2026 at 2:29 pm #320887Drury’s the new Peterborough sports manager.
Bit of shenanigans going on there? sports version they said they were told to give him a ring on the day he left Matlock, Really! What no tapping up whatsoever lol.May 17, 2026 at 2:39 pm #320888I suggested this a when “give us a quid” came about…
it never got any traction which is a shame as its a lottery where serious cash could be made for the club and the gamblers could win some money and it would all be over in weeks as opposed to wasting a page in the programme for sponsors names..
May 17, 2026 at 4:05 pm #320889It’s hard to imagine that anyone could sign a manager so swiftly without knowing him before hand isn’t it?

May 27, 2026 at 4:36 pm #321187June 14, 2026 at 10:39 pm #321934Having sacked Adam Clayton, they brought Ryan Cresswell back and now they’ve sacked him again.
Now gone to Ambitious Hartlepool United…
