Thought he did really well in his 1st two seasons and scored a few really important goals in particular last season. But this season he’s struggled and has made the team weaker whenever he has come on in midfield towards the end of games (imho).

Is it also a good sign that Westbrooke may be staying?

I don’t frequent the FB group anymore as the mods are absolute twonks and removed me after I posted something slightly critical. It’s like living in Mother Russia over on there!

But Apollo’s memory is correct, this Dave chap is a new fan…which makes his gushings even more cringe.

Too good for us, despite what some on here will have you believe. 2 goals and 2 assists in 4 starts for a struggling Cheltenham, he ain’t gonna be dropping down to the NL.

What the fudge is Gurnelista spouting above? Where and when have any of our fans sang Tommy Robinson’s name in the stands?

    Read the thread

Thanks for the advice. The questions still stand.

Disappointing as we’re on a bit of a roll with a great opportunity to pick up another 3 points…but probably the sensible and correct decision to call it off now before wasting anyone’s time.

Ok, thanks for confirming. Bit out of touch with reality me thinks. Our current Prime Minister is so disliked that even an impression of him was booed vociferously at the bloody Royal Variety Performance! Guess everyone in that crowd was a member of Britain First and a Tommy Robinson fanboy too.

So just to confirm my understanding, if you dislike the current government, particularly the Prime Minister, think he’s a bit of a w*nker and join in with a chant to that matter, then you are automatically associated with Britain First and are a Tommy Robinson fanboy?

    Can someone confirm please?

Maxi Kouogun on the scoresheet I see.

Clunan on target for KLT in NLN too.

Roberts and Whitehall the ones that mattered though.

Don’t leave out Mark “goal machine” Beck on the scoresheet again!

This time last year we demolished Kings Lynn in a top of the table clash then lost to lowly Rushall Olympic, so we definitely have previous recent history of these kinds of slip ups.

Personally can’t see it happening this time around, especially at home (hope that’s not famous last words!).

About 20 secs from the end Deerey.

“10 more years 10 more years Oli Ewing, 10 more years 10 more years I say…”??

If that’s it then I agree with the initial reply in this thread…get a life!

Would he have even gotten in our team though? Whitehall starts, Roberts starts, and TSF starts (whilst still here).

Dec scored a belter off the bench to win the game vs Woking and likewise Carlton vs Tamworth. Not much room for another forward to make any more of an impact than that.

Yeah agreed Sanfran, I was more highlighting how we threw our youngsters completely under the bus with no chance in hell of staying up. They were clearly not good enough at the time and have proven today that they were never going to be good enough either.

Some of the players we were relying on in our last attempt at staying up in League 2:

Jack Moore-Billam – Clay Cross Rovers
    Cam Wilson – Matlock Town
    Harry Davis – Northwich Victoria
Alex Kenyon – last seen at Bamber Bridge
    Ross Millen – Inverness CT
    Harry Bunn – Hyde United
    Tyrone O’Neill – Guisborough
Alex Perry – last seen at Runcorn Linnets
    Anthony Grant – AFC Whyteleafe
    Joe Nuttall – Morecambe
Jake Scrimshaw – East Cowes Victoria
    Luke Matheson – Macclesfield
    Tyrese Sinclair – Solihull Moors
    Rekeil Pyke – Truro City
    Ethan Young – Peterborough Sports
    Fin Shrimpton – Chester
Harry Lewis – last seen at Cleethorpes
    Mason O’Malley – Worksop
    Manny Onariase – Maidenhead
Dan Gallimore – last seen at Cleethorpes
George Taft – last seen at Mickleover
    Harvey Cribb – Cobh Ramblers

Hmm…I wonder why we got spanked every week!? I think the only players who have played any kind of league football since that season are Hayden Hackney, Ryan Delaney, Ryan Loft and Myles Hippolyte (two of those were loanees and the other two we shipped out in the January).

Would be brilliant if we are able to get Westbrooke’s and Sellars-Fleming’s loans extended to the end of the season.

Both Chadwick and Eze can go back.

Barrows worth a contract until at least the end of the season.

There’s a few ex-Swanny players who fancy a bet. Toney, Toffolo and now Lewis.

Cracking win and a cracking day out in the sunshine. Two fantastic goals. Just a shame that the final round of subs seemed to weaken us again and turned it into a very nervy finish.

Strong lineup today, no reason we can’t ruffle some feathers and grab a result.

He couldn’t have been on much at TNS that’s for sure, with average crowds of 300.

Think it was more the fact that Westbrooke was playing better than him (probably his best game in an Iron shirt) and wanted both Ewing and Beestin as the other 2 of the 3 in the middle.

Terrible first half but so much better second when Roberts and Ewing came on. Forgot how good Ewing is…jeez we’ve missed him!

Hopefully Dents is playing LW like he did a few times towards the back end of last season. Otherwise that’s definitely a 5 at the back!

After a decent start Dec has only managed 1 goal in his last 11 league games. Needs to find his shooting boots again and really should have put the game out of sight on Sat with that header!

I’m also yet to see much evidence that Dawson is “clearly good enough”. Other than that 45 minute spell against one of the worst teams I’ve seen at Glanford Park, he’s done literally nothing of note in an Iron shirt.

    Settle start with 442.

We haven’t played 4-4-2 all season, why would we change now?

Was one of those travelling fans and can’t disagree with anything CT has said above. That was the most pathetic performance I’ve seen in a while. How Chadwick is anywhere near the first team, let alone the starting 11 baffles me. Can York take him back as well please?

Not particularly ideal if he picks up an injury or suspension.
