If we only make minor adjustments, I don’t see why we can’t win this. They have their moments but our squad has more about it!
September 19, 2026 at 6:36 pm #328412I thought kick off was at 18:30 (uk).
Saying that second half has just kicked off …. Bewildered look :-(September 19, 2026 at 6:37 pm #328413Rowley missing which is never a good thing.
Kick off is 17:30 UK time Rene – 45 minutes from now.Bugger … I’ve messed up :-(
September 19, 2026 at 6:39 pm #328414Phew 0-0 … I’ve not missed much then.
Commentary has just disappeared though :-(
September 19, 2026 at 6:46 pm #328415A number of their players make solid mistakes.
CASH IN, Iron!September 19, 2026 at 7:01 pm #328416I knew optimism was a poor route to take!
September 19, 2026 at 7:04 pm #328417I honestly don’t know what you were seeing Les. That goal felt inevitable. Same old same old. We’re absolutely clueless.

September 19, 2026 at 7:09 pm #328418Shambolic defending again, we just look easy to score against
September 19, 2026 at 7:17 pm #328419…and he brings on Ogle. Genius.
September 19, 2026 at 7:24 pm #328420They are a busy outfit but nowt special.
SIGH!September 19, 2026 at 7:28 pm #328421…and he brings on Ogle. Genius.
CLUELESS Butler ..
September 19, 2026 at 7:30 pm #328423If the club don’t sack him soon, we might as well pack it in.
He’s doing for us😡September 19, 2026 at 7:30 pm #328424The shut our ears off to constructive criticism, treat that as nastiness and only listen to blind optimism strategy is not working.

September 19, 2026 at 7:34 pm #328425It was never working Siderite. Just meaningless twaddle. This squad needs shaking up and hard truths. Plus a game plan.

September 19, 2026 at 7:40 pm #328429Butler’s time should be up, the squad looks disjointed, clueless if being uber critical. The complete lack of urgency when going down a goal. A period of 30-40 seconds lapsed when Ohle played it back to Bailey? Who played it back to ogle who returned the compliment, eventually it went into the box where there was one Scunthorpe Striker. Butler’s finished for me and probably about 1,200 fans who won’t bother turning up to watch this tripe any longer.
September 19, 2026 at 7:44 pm #328431Naff!
Couldn’t score in a brothel!
The best we were ever going to get was 0-0 today and we couldn’t manage that!
Bit of a low ebb to say the least. Not quite sure how we get out of this mess.
September 19, 2026 at 7:46 pm #328433It’s Ok Scunny bunny will be along soon to sell some autographed toilet paper……

September 19, 2026 at 7:54 pm #328438Well that was rubbish even Jerry looked totally pissed off with it.
Times up for AB but will anyone take action on it?September 19, 2026 at 8:06 pm #328440Apart from hitting the post that is as good as it gets, no urgency, walking football and disappointed with the response after the goal, if things don’t change we are going down and even last season’s players aren’t performing and you can’t say Danny Whitehall is missing chances, because he isn’t getting any, apart from the free kicks and was so easy for their defenders and can’t recall their keeper making a save, I was disappointed the other night because we gave a unnecessary free kick and they scored, tonight it was not putting them under serious pressure, yet they scored when they only put us under pressure once, feel sorry for the fans who went
September 19, 2026 at 8:11 pm #328442I feel sorry for the fans who watched it on DAZN!
September 19, 2026 at 8:15 pm #328443At the end of last season the prevailing atmosphere around the club was that we did well and any constructive criticsm of where to improve was unwarranted. While, as fans we could look back and be happy with the season, those who achieve never settle. When you look at top sports stars, be it Max Verstappen, Novak Djokovic or Michael Phelps, they don’t settle for good enough and always look at where they can do better. I have not seen much of that from Butler or the board, only anger at anyone for saying they could do better (and I don’t mean the OTT moans), and I wonder if this mentality has caused a complacency over the summer. Where there wasn’t this burning need to show why we should be the best and just settled for what they thought was best, without need to question or drive, because positive vibes behind what they think is best is all that is needed to see us through, apparently.
September 19, 2026 at 8:30 pm #328444Looked like a targetted 0-0 from kick off.
1.No blame on the back 5 as they were clearly playing to orders but every time Campbell got the ball there was time to make a cup of tea before the ball got into their half.
2.Set pieces were abysmal, free kicks in the centre circle should end up in the opposition box not our penalty area. We don’t have the ability to benefit from short corners and tippy tappy goal kicks.
3. Finally a list of players who looked interested.September 19, 2026 at 8:32 pm #328445We really needed to keep hold of Westbrook for composure in midfield, but decided to sign Richards and Ogle who we didn’t even need. Butler and co has caused a huge mess.
Good indiviual players, but don’t make a cohesive unit. Mainly down to Lopsided nature of the squad.
September 19, 2026 at 9:37 pm #328449Olly on Humberside reckoned Hornchurch appeared to set up defensively and hope to catch us on the break, did sound a familiar story of some of our game plans but in truth it sounded a desperate affair from both teams, even Cox sounded genuinely pissed off by the Irons efforts at the end, it’s a worrying time.
