Some things I have learned over the past two games…Richard’s ain’t a patch on Westbrooke and must have something on Butler to start ahead of Rowley, Pat Jones is quick but has almost zero technical ability, James Gale is not a number 10.

Big improvement needed at Eastleigh.

Changes needed, midfield is terrible and lopsided. Our two best footballers in Rowley and Butterfield on the bench with Gale and Richards chasing shadows. Hard to watch so far.

Beestin needs to be regularly starting. Not his best game v Yeovil but that was probably more to do with how he was told to handle their midfield. His goal return for us from midfield is fantastic (7 from 24 starts last season)…a repeat of his worldie v Southend last season would be nice.

Not knocking what she’s done for the club in the slightest but imagine Jim Ratcliffe, Marinakis or Todd Boehly sat in the centre of United’s/Forrest’s/Chelsea’s team photo…they’d be absolutely slaughtered!

I like Danny and he’s been great for us…but something clearly isn’t quite right with his game at the moment and hasn’t been for a while.

That’s 13 games for us now without a goal, with the last one coming at the beginning of March vs Sutton (prior to that he’d scored 10 in 15!).

At the game I thought Barrows lost his man but watching the highlights it looks like it was Denton who completely switched off.

Can’t disagree with any of Cass’ summary of the game. We probably deserved a point, but only just. Yeovil can be very upset with one of their offside decisions which on viewing the replay was a good two yards onside!

Richards and Rowley shouldn’t be starting in the same midfield together, especially at home. Richards won Boston’s POTS so he must have something about him…but that was as the deep lying midfielder of the 3, not in the position he was playing yesterday. Seems to be a trait of Butler liking players out of position….Dec on the wing and Gale a midfielder when he’s been a striker his entire career (although I did like the look of Gale yesterday and he definitely made a difference when he came on).

Our two best wingers appear to be Jones and Brennan…the problem being that they are both left wingers. Butterfield changed the game when he came on and should start instead of one of Rowley/Richards but can he last a full game?

Nothing disastrous about yesterday’s performance but nothing inspiring either.

What’s the obsession with clammering for 4-4-2? We got promoted playing predominantly 4-3-3, arguably overachieved last season playing predominantly 4-3-3, York won the league playing 4-3-3 and Rochdale got promoted playing 3-4-3. 4-4-2 would just leave us overrun in the middle of the pitch and is why hardly anybody plays it these days.

We played 5 at the back for the 3-1 win at Boreham Wood which was one of our best results and performances away from home last season…which shows it can work at times. Doesn’t seem to work all that often though and would prefer not seeing it.

It’s clear for all to see on the GoFundMe page…top donation of £500 made by the Iron Trust.

As a trust member I too would like to know where this donation has been sourced from. If it’s out of someone’s own back pocket but under the Trust’s name then fair enough…if it’s out of Trust funds that should be going towards shares in the club then serious questions need to be asked.

As already echoed on here, Keegan is a legend, but not so much an Iron legend, and I don’t believe he is deserving of a statue at our club (the renaming of the Iron Bar or similar would be much more appropriate IMO).
