Don’t think Wales have much of a chance considering they didn’t qualify.
Some very strange selections, just hope Tuchel knows what he’s doing. None of the performances during qualifying were all that inspiring (except maybe the 5-0 away win in Serbia) and the most recent round of friendlies were an extremely tough watch.
Thing is it wasn’t a one-off. Apparently they”d done the same at Oxford and Ipswich.
Word is that they dressed in Eastleigh training gear to spy on Ipswich when they were using Eastleigh’s training ground. If true then that’s pretty sinister stuff and they deserve to have the book thrown at them.
Delaney was probably the only player to come away with any credit in that awful League 2 relegation season. Sign him up!

Yep, we sold Carlton to KL for an undisclosed fee.

Needs to be stripped right back, give autonomy back to the officials on the pitch and only step in for absolute clear and obvious errors (like Graham Poll giving three yellow cards to the same player without sending him off, or allowing Freddie Sears’ goal to stand that went through a hole in the net and not given). The degree to which VAR gets involved and the time taken to come to decisions is ruining the game.

I’ve got no issue with Jones, he has been decent without being spectacular…but with a full pre-season and with injuries hopefully behind him I think he could be an asset.
Campbell just isn’t good enough, even as back-up.
Is he even NLN level? Who did he go out on loan to? Bradford Park Avenue in the Northern Premier League One East. That’s probably more his level.

Only thing I would add is that it seems a bit slack for the club just to repost Mahady’s X post with no comment, no ‘thanks for your service’ or nowt. Bit of gratitude doesn’t cost anything.
Jumped the gun a bit with this, they’ve posted a thanks and farewell message for every departing player.
Think Barrows has pulled one out of the hat there in not being released. Not a very good centre half and we have three other right backs in Starbuck, Rose and JB.
Is Butler going to come out and start the whole “Campbell is my Number 1” pantomime again if he re-signs? Please, for the love of God, go and sign a decent, NL level established keeper (and no that is not Rory Watson).
If we can accept a Codhead how about keeper Harvey Cartwright. Contract at Targers ends this month, been there 6 years and had several loans principally Cods & Hartlepool where he impressed. 23y.o and 6’4″
I wouldn’t bother suggesting keepers on here. I suggested Jake Eastwood at the start of the season…deemed not good enough by almost every poster on this site. Oh wait, he’s just won promotion from Cambridge in League 2 as their no.1 keeper.
Was it really ‘almost every poster’ or is that a mere exaggeration to try and emphasise your point and plug a ‘told you so’?
It may well have been just one person, but yep I’m definitely still using that to warrant an “I told you so” post.

Jack Nolan out of contract in June. Would be the perfect Roberts replacement and probably the best we could hope to get. He’ll probably be snapped up by a league club though, spent all his career in League 1/2 (over 100 appearances) before joining Morecambe this season.

We went into this season with 5 strikers so I’d be very surprised if we went into next with only 2. Can’t see Dawson and Beck hanging around, not sure if JD is out of contract but Beck definitely is.
Just saw that Tom Pugh played for Spalding in the final. Some still think he’s “one that got away”.

Butler has done well and isn’t going anywhere. Got us promoted last season and I think literally every fan would have accepted a season of mid-table mediocrity without the threat of relegation. We definitely exceeded my expectations this season, especially considering the reduced budget compared to last.
However, his stubbornness, the way he comes across in interviews and his attitude towards any fan that isn’t of the Positivity Dave ilk makes him pretty unlikeable.

Roberts contributed to over 30% of our goals this season so will be a massive loss if he goes (which he probably will and deserves a crack at league football).
Pat Jones needs to step up here in Roberts’ likely absence. Lots of effort but 1 goal and 1 assist in his 12 appearances so far isn’t exactly great.
Ewing no great loss, would prefer to see Alfie be the regular starter as the more forward midfielder in a 3. Always pops up with important goals and has scored more than Ewing/Westbrooke/Rowley combined.
Unsure on Jones in goal…he’s done ok but nothing spectacular, could be the answer with a full pre-season under his belt and with injuries hopefully behind him.
Right back hopefully sorted with Rose returning, but can he stay fit!?

Hoping we can get Leo Farrell back. Certainly missed him since he went back to Barnsley!
Very disappointing display really. That 2nd goal we seemed to just stop, watch and let Rodney have a crack at goal.
Didn’t seem like we had much of a game plan, no real clear cut chances other than the goal which was a lump it and hope from the keeper.
Hoping we can kick on next season but that’s probably Roberts, Ewing, Westbrooke (and maybe Evans) that we’ll never see again…a decent spine of the team. If Roberts goes that’s 31% of our goals gone from this season which he’s either scored or assisted.
No, keep the faith!
I’d take both, decent players (although Inniss has only played twice this year because of injury).
A game of this magnitude and on a bank holiday Sunday was always going to be very in demand. It really should have been simple, give season tickets holders a day to purchase their tickets…1 season ticket = the ability to purchase 1 ticket. Once that priority window has elapsed, any left over go on general sale.
The club (yes, the club, not Rochdale, not Fanbase) have ballsed this up massively by allowing it to happen.

No doubt we’ll see YouTubers and every other Tom, Dick and Harry with no affiliation to club rock up at the game whilst genuine Iron fans miss out AGAIN. The club really do have no shame.
6 per season ticket…absolute joke.

Don’t get the “big and nasty” shout at all. We’re a team of vertically challenged players. Apart from Evans, Whitehall and JB everyone is below 6ft (not including the keeper).

Looks like we should get 25% of Rochdale’s capacity but provisionally told 2,375. Should hopefully get a big turnout with it being a bank holiday Sunday!
Surely the Chorley semi-final is more comparable, but we still did manage to get 6.3k for that with the away end being half empty.
I guess people don’t fancy a Tuesday night as much, coupled with us playing dross for a while and not scoring from open play at home for over a month.
The one on a Tuesday night vs Reading to stay up in the Championship was a good one. Singing to Wharton in the directors box “he used to be tight, but now he’s alright…”
We haven’t scored from open play at home since the 2-2 draw against Dale, which is a bit concerning going into Tuesday’s game. Anything can happen in the playoffs though so I’ll be keeping the faith!
