The manager doesn’t need confusing any more than he is on his best line up at the moment, just a small tinker with his starting line up from yesterday certainly till 60 mins then wholesale changes with those who haven’t had any game time.

Exactly AWG I don’t buy this he doesn’t know his best 11.
He should know his best 11!!

Can anyone confidently say we have built on last season success with the players brought in? And that we have a larger squad than last season

Surely 1 or 2 players less would have been better so that we could have recruited a better class of player to replace Roberts & Co.
Just seems we’ve just cluttered the changing room.

Not having 5 right backs would have been a good place to start.

We replaced Roberts (a right winger) with Brennan (a left winger) when we already have Jones for the left. Westbrooke replaced with Richards who looks completely lost. Ewing replaced with Butterfield who has quality but probably can’t last 90 mins.

The only upgrade is Howe replacing Boyce.

I’d start Richards, Ogle, Gale & Horton on Tuesday as the 4 from previous Saturday and let them play the 90 because I wouldn’t start them at Eastleigh.
Campbell, Rose, Smith, Hurst, Parker, JB & Starbuck surely have to be given a chance to claim a starting place. Minutes for Whitehall, Denton, Rowley, Beestin & Barrows should do the job and give Butler a better idea of his best XI.
