Regarding the penalty, just had a look on the FA website at the rules…any “illegal feinting” results in an indirect free kick being awarded and a caution (yellow card) being shown to the kicker.
The ref got it spot on, Dieseruvwe clearly completed his run up and then stopped, i.e feinted. Don’t think he touched the ball and he didn’t need to for the refs outcome to be correct.

If we can go back to the performance shown at Boreham Wood away then we’ve got every chance of getting a result. Play anything like we have since that night and Rochdale’s goal difference will probably increase significantly.

6 in the league (from 15 starts), 10 if you include the cups (including the Mickey Mouse NL Cup).

Starbuck always takes soooo long to get the ball out from under his feet, like he’s in slow motion and gets caught far too often.
Not sure if we can say if Smith is a bad signing or not yet but what have Hurst, Smith or Dausch done that Dec Howe wouldn’t have done? Absolutely nothing.

I’ve always liked Brogan, works hard, not shy of a tackle and can clearly pop up with a goal out of nothing. He’s never really been given a run of games to settle into the side.
For all of Ewing’s strong points, 1 goal from open play this season (on the opening day) is pretty poor for a more advanced midfielder.
Don’t understand why Bellahoun doesn’t get more of a run out at full back. Denton is a real concern for me. His passing is awful and his defending leaves a lot to be desired. He seems to switch off quite a lot in important situations. I would feel confident meeting Carlisle in the playoffs if it came to that.
Think Belahouan is injured. But regarding Denton’s passing, it was his peach of a cross field pass that setup our only goal Vs Southend.

The funniest lines were around Horton being “vertically disadvantaged” and the offside law should be changed so that if you’re in an offside position when the ball is played but then receive it in an offside position, you should be deemed onside as it’s “just clever play”.
Real amateur hour stuff. DAZN should give the option for either commentary, Ollie Turner and Torps do a stellar job.

Has this Carlisle commentator ever watched a game of football before? Spouting some absolute horse manure!
So poor from Mahady, 64 will be loving that.
The double standards being applied to Mahardy mistakes are as evident as the disgraceful bullying of Campbell. As for Beck there was a lot of online noise but I remember him scoring and the majority being genuinely pleased for him personally
If you’re going to keep bringing up Mahady with comparisons to Campbell, at least get his name right.
There’s a reason Mahady has been signed for the rest of the season and Campbell sent out on loan to a club THREE divisions below us.

Howe has done fairly well this season but he doesn’t really fit the system and Butler now has Smith and Dausch that look better suited to the role.
His goal return has been ok considering he has not played through the middle, but he is a bit limited and lacks a bit of quality. He could easily be sitting on 20 goals as he’s missed a hatful of easy chances.
Much will depend on how Dausch gets on but I think Howe will probably be quickly forgotten.
Seems like the one who’s been quickly forgotten is the one who’s actually starting in that position at the moment…Kyle Hurst!
Their squad size is irrelevant, he went back to Coventry because he clearly wasn’t deemed good enough to get in FG’s team (managed to make 11 appearances off the bench so couldn’t have been that seriously injured).
He worked hard today in his brief cameo but that’s no different to what Dec would have done. Still find it a very strange decision unless Dec forced the move himself.

Didn’t see that one coming! Will have to wait and see who else comes in as a replacement but until then I’m not sure it’s the wisest of ideas. I’ve been impressed with Howe, he’s always a goal threat and never stops working for the team.

I’m with MK…even if we do the double over Rochdale we’ll still be 5 points behind them, and they show no signs of dropping many points any time soon.
Finishing 3rd would be an incredible achievement.
JB should be starting for me, his pace is a serious asset.
Well it’d probably make for better mascots than Scunny and Hunny Bunny!
They like to play football so might not get on very well with our cabbage patch pitch!
Best NL in a long time still 6 teams averaging 2 Pts a game.
6 teams still averaging >=2 points per game in the same division is pretty wild. In the 4 divisions above us there’s only 4 teams in total doing that!
Back to Back (5) then. Oh Dear!
Possibly, unless Denton is playing further forward like he has does quite a few times previously.
Very harsh on Mahady! Decent shot that he dived for and no fault of his that the ball hit the post and rebounded in off of him.
The equaliser at home to Braintree in the 87th minute was a sickener too.
Next 4 league games are going to be tough going…Boreham Wood, Forest Green, Southend and Carlisle!
Connor Smith it is. Happy with that!

Smith played the majority of his games here as a left winger, so I’d say more of a TSF replacement.
No, but the OWS did put a story up that Max Brogan has joined Leamington but it has since been taken down.
Let the battle of the vaginas commence!
Hopefully contributes a lot more than Chadwick/Eze but he didn’t particularly stand out at all the other night.
1 year older than Callum Roberts and has played for one more club than him…wow, such a journeyman.
Views from a Cheltenham fan in a Free Press article:
“Cotterill has managed his return to full match sharpness carefully and successfully and he has looked a cut above in several recent matches. He made four appearances from the bench before making his first start against Buxton in the 6-2 FA Cup second round win. He started the next six league games, scoring in the wins over Barrow and Shrewsbury Town either side of Christmas. He then went on as a substitute against Crawley Town on Sunday and scored the vital first goal to set up a 3-0 win – the perfect way to sign off. He sees things very few players in League Two see and it’s evident from his brief period at Cheltenham that he belongs at a higher level.”
“Adelakun plays with a swagger and almost makes it look effortless at times, with his touch and vision. He is not afraid to try the spectacular or the audacious. But the 29-year-old is far from a ‘luxury player’. He has been forced to run hard during his appearances for Cheltenham and he has passed the Cotterill workrate test, which some players do not manage.”
Maybe, just maybe, he’s not quite the same player as some people remember from his time here 8 years ago.
and Hakeeb 18 month deal at Dony – Oh well. If it keeps Westwood here then great
Hang on a sec, you’re telling me the Donny management didn’t listen to the football geniuses on here who said he’s not good enough for us in the National League!
