Scores for Stockport in the playoff second leg…as a defender.
May 13, 2026 at 10:44 pm #320782Obviously where McCall and Hurst went wrong!

If you’re basing that on the line up on the BBC Sport website I’d take it with a large pinch of salt. If it’s not top divisions they just stick numbers anywhere.
May 14, 2026 at 10:18 am #320786Heard it on R5 being reported last night. Played CH they said. Might have took a deflection.

May 14, 2026 at 1:15 pm #320787Chatting to a County fan earlier who attended last night. Think Kyle was standing in at CH. Bit of a hero to them: they sing ‘two Kyle Wootons, there’s only two Kyle Wootons…’ acknowledging he’s a striker and defender. Good for him.
May 14, 2026 at 2:07 pm #320788Unlike the “Two Andy Gorams” chant!
May 14, 2026 at 2:15 pm #320789He’s played a few games at CH, recently.
May 14, 2026 at 4:00 pm #320790Is he any good as a goalie.
May 14, 2026 at 5:29 pm #320791Probably. Not that he’d ever return to the Iron the way he was treated by the boo boys
May 14, 2026 at 5:45 pm #320792Butler stays despite the boo boys.

May 14, 2026 at 6:02 pm #320793Wooton was a young impressionable player when he was getting the boo boy treatment, despite being played in the wrong position you wouldn’t expect the average knuckle dragging boo boy to understand that, he was probably relieved to get away. Butler is a street wise ex player who won’t give a toss about boo boys, if we get promoted again they will be cheering him. Butler knows that.
May 14, 2026 at 7:11 pm #320794He’d played 66 games before he was moved on young maybe but experienced, sure he knew how the game worked and understood if you don’t score someone else will get the chance. Perhaps if Hurst hadn’t listened to all the hype surrounding KVV he’d have been the CF that game and Wooton wouldn’t and all could have been so much different. Still took Hurst another 2 league games though before he realised KVV was the one, after scoring freely in non league games at the time.
I was there at the game I wasn’t booing him but I understood why people were, we totally dominated the game he fluffed his lines not the only one mind. Macc were so poor the only way they’d score was from a penalty and they did.
Manager set him up to take the blame subbing him so he then had to walk past all the scunny fans, manager had seen enough the fans at the time had seen enough then shipped him out through lack of goals the next week.May 14, 2026 at 7:38 pm #320795Wooton was a young impressionable player when he was getting the boo boy treatment, despite being played in the wrong position you wouldn’t expect the average knuckle dragging boo boy to understand that, he was probably relieved to get away. May 14, 2026 at 8:09 pm #320796Funny thing is Ironawe twas only 4 games before you were supporting the boo boys that is you NI and Deerey amongst others when KVV was booed onto the pitch on 84 mins on the first day of the season.
Who’d have thought that hey.May 14, 2026 at 8:44 pm #320798Always rated Kyle. Was developing well despite being played out of position.
6ft 3 pacy and not intimidated and we got rid and still not replaced him.
That manager deserved sacking, similar to the one who forced Lyle Taylor out.Good luck to Kyle.

Butler’s skin is as thin as rice paper. You not seen some of the comments he’s come out with ?.
Funny way of showing he doesn’t care. I’d argue it’s completely the opposite. I’d say he’s thin skinned, stubborn, egotistical and petty.
But most important he’s proving to be a good manager.

Who’d have thought that hey.Took longer than I thought it would for you to wheel out that history re-write.

He’s always been thin skinned when you mention “ knuckle dragger “, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree even if it was back in his younger days 😂
May 14, 2026 at 9:53 pm #320805Credit to you both for not denying it though.

…and you for being as thin skinned as Butler.
May 15, 2026 at 3:29 pm #320847May 24, 2026 at 3:37 pm #321099And today’s another day,
Always something to tell the grandkids I scored at Wembley.May 24, 2026 at 5:12 pm #321100Nobody is too good not to score an og, I’d have Kyle back here in a heartbeat but he’s far too good for us these days.
May 24, 2026 at 5:19 pm #321101So not really a CB then? Played out of position, well he’s used to that isn’t he?

Must have been thinking “ this malarkey takes me back a few years “ 😂
May 24, 2026 at 6:30 pm #321104Course you’d have him back Ironawe, probably along with TSF, Ogle, Watson and Hurst. Just like of the inbreds.
May 24, 2026 at 6:50 pm #321105TSF – yes, Ogle – do we need 5 RBs, Watson & Hurst not good enough if we’re serious about a promotion challenge.

May 24, 2026 at 6:58 pm #321106Quite of few former Iron players in the playoffs so far this weekend. Crooks, Lundstram and Slater for Hull. Hackney for Boro. Wooton and Norwood for Stockport. McAtee for Bolton (the less said about that particular ego the better).
May 24, 2026 at 8:19 pm #321107Crookes was absolutely top notch for us, NcAtee superb when he felt like it, the others – best forgotten if you haven’t already.
