We need to stop whining about players leaving. They may look ok ,some just ok,at this level but they’re still among the worst players we’ve ever had If there’s a player quality pyramid then it stands to reason that if Premier league players are the pinnacle and there’s very few players of that quality competing for positions, we’re at the base of the pyramid and there’s loads of players of that quality. We just need to get the right blend and coaching.

June 6, 2026 at 8:50 am #321569And manager…
June 6, 2026 at 9:16 am #321570No need to change manager after a promotion and a top five finish which led to a playoff semifinal against a team that got promoted with a much bigger budget. We need to be realistic in more ways than one about our club.

June 6, 2026 at 10:05 am #321573We need a new owner who flashes suspect bank statements, has no filing history on companies house and an unexplainable disappearance from public life.

The best if a bad lot? Doesn’t mean they are really good players – although, to be fair, Roberts was very good.
June 6, 2026 at 6:40 pm #321602Awaywego I have always said our squad isn’t good enough for the next level ,
June 6, 2026 at 6:49 pm #321603June 6, 2026 at 8:27 pm #321606Certainly not at the moment Blt, but let’s see who we get in first.
No squad is good enough for the next level, every squad needs improving when moving up a level that’s why I’ve slagged everyone off when they say we aren’t ready.
But you have drooled over Roberts and Ewing nothing wrong mind they’re both good players well capable of an higher level as are others still at the club.June 6, 2026 at 9:45 pm #321608Roberts must have been on a fair bit because he only re-signed at the last minute. Maybe we can strengthen the squad s a whole because that’s what affected us last season.

Not my recollection. Can’t remember 64 praising him tbh. Being critical of him for cutting inside instead of crossing I do remember.
June 7, 2026 at 7:19 am #321616Jack Nolan from Morecambe could be the first signing
June 7, 2026 at 10:45 am #321619Hope so – a winger that scores 20 goals in a poor side will do for me
June 7, 2026 at 12:06 pm #321620As we have no press releases just thought a few bits of info on some old boys may be of interest.
1/ Luke Waterfall appointed as the no.2 to Paul Hurst at Boston.
2/ Rory Fallon appointed as the new boss at 1874 Northwich Victoria.
3/ Cam Wilson now moves to Guiseley.2 users thanked author for this post.

June 7, 2026 at 3:57 pm #321625Can we get Abdul Malik from Boreham Wood??
More chance of getting Art Malik but I believe his best acting days are behind him.
June 7, 2026 at 8:04 pm #321645Surprised an EFL club hasn’t come in for him.
June 9, 2026 at 7:47 pm #321733Jack Nolan from Morecambe could be the first signing
Nope, signed for Hartlepool.
June 10, 2026 at 5:28 pm #321773Clock’s ticking on this supposed ‘big week for the club’.

I expect Butler said that the lads trained well, and that lessons were learned.

I thought you said Crete, not Iran?
June 11, 2026 at 1:07 pm #321801Think he mentioned players incoming this week, and PD is gripping on to that for credibility sake.
June 11, 2026 at 3:52 pm #321807When abroad your ip address is normally blocked Deerey so no BBC sounds, no signing into your lottery account when you’ve won a prize, still get results if you can be arsed to look for them but I’ll leave mine till I get home.
Can be that millionaire that little bit longer.June 11, 2026 at 6:22 pm #321813Any info from the Butler interview and Michelle’s please can’t receive it where I am.
Basically, don’t panic signings on the way. Paid a fee for a yet unnamed player. Want to improve on where we finished this season. Took the piss about Ewing going to FGR saying he’ll get squad number 117.
Wants some more experience, will try different formations in preseason, can’t use pitch as an excuse anymore.
Winger having a medical today. Sounds like Altrincham are interested in Howe but no deal done. AB thinks Brogan needs more experience and game time, hence he was released. Barrows, Jones, Campbell, Shipstone still to sign. AB and Muzzy rate both keepers. Kyle Hurst probably coming, has been offered a contract. We will be playing in the National League Cup.
That’s about it, I’ve not listened to the Michelle one yet.1 user thanked author for this post.
