Do they need to be on the pitch to celebrate? You surely saw what the York player did.

    What did he do?

Hit someone who pinned him to the floor?

Just watched it. Looks like a Rochdale fan? If so, fair play to the York player decking him. Might stop him doing it again.

Last time I tried going on the pitch I just avoided a Humberside Police Baton.

Being on the pitch three times, Crewe in the playoffs that took us to our first Wembley appearance, Swansea playoff, and gaining promotion to the championship against Huddersfield I believe.
    Special moments for us all.

Chester away (after the downpour) was a memorable pitch celebration!

Only invaded the pitch once. To congratulate Graeme Crawford keeping a clean sheet. Probably 10 years old.

The one on a Tuesday night vs Reading to stay up in the Championship was a good one. Singing to Wharton in the directors box “he used to be tight, but now he’s alright…”

It’s a fair way from the top of a floodlight pylon to the pitch.
A couple of thousand Hull fans, at least, were the on the pitch celebrating promotion at Walsall, ratbag copper with a police dog wouldn’t let me on, hey ho.

Was 64 thinking of Whitehall (Duvet) when he wrote that?

Looking at ticket sales there won’t be that many on the pitch. Very different to the Chester game where many couldn’t get a ticket. Surely this is a bigger step so would generate more interest. Maybe 6-6.5k assuming Southend sell their allocation

Not as much money in buying tickets with your ST and flogging them for a premium on Local Facebook pages this time round.

Surely the Chorley semi-final is more comparable, but we still did manage to get 6.3k for that with the away end being half empty.

I guess people don’t fancy a Tuesday night as much, coupled with us playing dross for a while and not scoring from open play at home for over a month.

Money’s not easy to come by as it is, so some fans will just wait and hope to spend on a Wembley trip.
My first home game of the season tonight but I wouldn’t have bothered re, play over the last 2 months if my son wasn’t staying over at ours and I can get a lift down.

    On the OWS:-
“Scunthorpe United would like to remind supporters the importance of their conduct when we host Southend United this evening.
Supporters are reminded that entering the field of play is strictly prohibited, and the use of pyrotechnics and the throwing of objects all constitute as criminal offences.”

All well and good as long as fans look at the OWS and can read. Regular tannoy reminders for an hour before KO might help and certainly remove the “I didn’t know” response. Absolutely crucial that no encroachment or pyros tonight. Start next season with a 10 point deduction? No thanks!!

And do we really think that any punishment will be dished out to Rochdale for all of the above, the worst that’s happened of late was just a reduced capacity at Chester which affected us more than it did them, just the same as Chelsea’s punishment for home crowd behaviour was to ban away fans ence we weren’t allowed to go holding a 4-1 lead.
But after Saturday that should learn all fans of all clubs not to go onto the pitch until the ref blows the final whistle.

I don’t care what happens to Rochdale and I have no idea what punishment will be handed out. I just don’t want us to be at risk.
