It’s rumoured they are having an open day on a Sunday where those with a square can view the grass between 10-11am for free, then 11-12pm it will be a pound.

It’s being dubbed “pitch and putt up”!

We seem to have got bogged down on the Argie game.

But TTs squad was sadly lacking all through and quite obviously lacked direction and leadership especially in defence where Maguire would have excelled.

Also when you look outside of Kane, Bellingham and Rice where were regular goals going to come from?

Foden and Palmer can unlock games by running at teams through midfield. An element that we sadly lacked, apart from Rice.

TT is better than Southgate admittedly, and will hopefully have learned from this world cup.

The Argies stopped us playing first half and broke up our play before we could get any flow, they were never going to play like that second half. I would also question where were the grafters to dig you out in that situation, too many light weights in the squad for me.

Unity raised the funds via bucket collections!!!, whilst Maggie and co plotted how to create a two tier fan base.

The best form of defence is attack!

If you’re in their half they ain’t in yours, and not many team score from inside their own half.

It was like Watching any FA St George trained coaches team, utter crap, as Alan Shearer said we had no outlet once Kane and Bellingham dropped deep and the ball just kept coming back on us. No Scunny fan needed telling that though as we see it week in week out.

1-0 and we fooked it up.

Walter Blunder was not very complimentary about Butterfield after he left, seemingly he must have changed his mind. I hope he changes his mind on Billy Sharp.

Sadly Cass, I haven’t paid the £60 for exclusive transfer news so won’t know who we have signed until the first game.

It certainly was Neil Pointon’s last game he went from Preston to Everton and signed.

It was 84 played in the afternoon due to the miners strike.

It was memorable for another reason the late John Windsors wheelchair bound mother had a micarulous event, sitting pitch side she jumped out of her chair and ran to the touchline when we scored.

I was one of the 23.

The club are trying to generate income and trying many different ways to do this and of course we all want a sustainable club going forward.

The concern I have is that the club are looking to the same people all the time to dip into their pockets and not generating income from non-football supporters or the wider community.

Also the clubs attitude is take/take all the time, this would have been a golden opportunity to reward club sponsors at all levels from main club/stand sponsors down to player shirt/transfer news announcement sponsors (deliberately chucked that one in).

Likewise Season ticket holders and shareholders could have been given free access and rewarded equally.

So come on the Iron, work on getting the fan base up and generating income external to the loyal fan base.

Surely one of the biggest earners would be a fully functioning respected restaurant which we have had in the not too distant past which attracts a cross section of the public and not necessarily the football fan.

Good for the VP group, raised nearly as much as the Iron Trust.

A couple of the ladies in the promo picture didn’t look happy though! Apparently they had just heard the next fundraiser is the opportunity to have a photograph sandwiched between SM and PD.

Current form for the Iron and performances may be a concern.

But what has added spice is Southend thinking they have already won and comments on the BBC after Saturday’s results.

Oh dear another sad moment in club v fans probably irraetreavable after being played out very publicly on here and the Face-clap site which unsurprisingly offers an alternative view .
This matter should/could have been handled very differently and very quietly.

This is a product of Babs and co surrounding themselves with sycophants as aired elsewhere on Bru and people within the club not being able to accept at times a different viewpoint.

It has spoilt tomorrow for me already before a ball is even kicked.

    Full facts and information needed.

There appears to be a grain running through the club which doesn’t like criticism.

All the people who saved the club are to be applauded and those having put there own money in deserve recognition and credit for that.

But it doesn’t make them right, nor does it mean we less well off are less passionate about our club or less correct on some things.

If true I hope the situation can be rectified sensibly.

I was a big Scales fan in NLN when only his finishing let him down, but the National League proved a step too far.

As the previous posters said he gives the ball away willy nilly and there was no end product, he was running around like an headless chicken at times.

    You know.

A verbal altercation occurred, no1 was attacked. I cant comment on the reason I had to intervene, but the other fan has apologised for there behaviour.

You had your hands on Dave Jones estranged partner of Suzie Jones (seen in the company of Drew a fellow Unity board member at both Braintree and Halifax).

You were also heard at the end of the game pacing about near the ladies toilets saying “I shouldn’t have done that, I’m really a nice man”.

If it was only verbal why did a steward need speak to you?

Sorry mate, you have disgraced yourself and brought scandal on Unity over trying to protect Unity from scandal, having your hands on Dave only served one purpose it exposed the situation not silence it.

But to come on here and claim it was verbal is not wholly truthful.

Nice to see you on here Ironrob, did the club put you up to it?

The fans on here tend to be long serving and loyal to Scunthorpe United FC, the club itself is their priority and not any individual who may own, manage, work for or play for it.

Neither do they take kindly to being preached to about their club by ‘five minute fans’ who appear from nowhere and eventually disappear even quicker.

Some of your predessors however have slated other supporters and other supporter groups, especially Stuart, Jerry and Earl.

The club is not helping your cause either by hand-picking supporter representatives and not engaging with others who may offer challenge or new ideas.

For the record, of all the owners, of all the managers, of all the staff, of all the players and of all the celeb supporters, we on Bru are still here and still supporting and will be until are toes are pointing up!

Just like we are sitting now waiting for the accounts, waiting for plans for the future and worrying if our club is safe and will still be safe going forward, just as we have done for the past x amount of years, 50 plus in my case.

Does his “fastest goal” record still stand?

Once went into Blarney Stone and licked a birds ear in under 11 seconds does that count as a quick goal?

Stuart played in some of the poorest teams the Iron have ever had, but along with others as individuals they could play football.

Stuart was a true gent and always had time for the fans, but more importantly he gave 100% wherever ever he played, and he played in almost every position except keeper.

Was a neighbour of staffy on Goodwood Drive.

Jerry hasn’t been seen around the club much either of late, has he been sacked as ticket office manager?

You are right about the boardroom somebody is playing games and I do not personally think it is the two who always get the blame. That person too does not deserve the steam off one of your earlies.

As for on the pitch, I predict a managerial change by the end of October and the new incumbents first signing will be a keeper.

Enjoying this thread, some good points of view and issues raised for/against.

Maybe both sides need to take a rain check and rethink their positions.

The fans buy in is a great idea and I hope something positive comes from this.
