The club are saying unless you give us £60 you’re second class, despite people such as I paying full price every game I attend which is most home games. Good customers getting blown off .
I’m getting sick of this club, wonder if insiders will be digging deep 1st when the shit hits the fan financially again.
This regime’s big thing has been spouting “unity” while dividing fans groups ,so far I’d suggest the need a new dictionary10 users thanked author for this post.
June 25, 2026 at 9:00 pm #322321I said something very similar on new club website thread. It’s a PR disaster and I would put money on no fans’ group having being consulted on the matter. I wonder what the Independent Football Regulator would make of the supporter engagement-or lack thereof? The club really needs to sort out its approach to comms and fan engagement. But we already knew that.
June 25, 2026 at 9:11 pm #322322The hand picked supporters group is an attempt to get around some of the recommendations that come along with the independent regulator pulling.
Screw the club mate, they spewed unity while clearly dividing fans with the Unity group and hand picked representatives .
When this board took over they used fans groups and when they felt secure they discarded them for the Unity group who never really explained about their part in the SUOSC demise and their immediate phoenix moment.
As the the hand picked,by the club ,representatives.Pleaee let’s not take this seriouslyJune 25, 2026 at 9:30 pm #322324Quite a few of us have bailed on funding the club other than match tickets already, if they’re not careful they’ll alienate a lot more and the club could end up being worse off.
How many more money grabs do they want when they have the super draw, the half time draw, pitch squares, pounds for the pitch, and now the ‘Inner circle’ besides merch from the club shop, plus all the little snake oil schemes twas Nordvpn this week who knows what’s next.
Ps, forgot the unity group and their name cards and auctions. The Club needs moving on again to new owners who don’t beg.
Tis to hope season ticket holders are classed as members without doling out any more money.

Splitting the fan base on the promise of access to a few scraps of info , photos with players and being in the “in crowd” … some have been getting away with this for a long time without paying for the privelage… Maw PD the Ironarmy guys etc
Just how the club can caryy on pushing the unity agenda with this latest brain fart of an idea that really is just another money grab like the pitch squares to add to the countless others.
I took off my SUFC charitable donations hat quite a while ago when fan groups mostly Unity Group started to spend the funds raised on things other than the club such as parties .etc

What an own goal – all previous comments on this shows the damage they have just done.
Plain and simple the club have just said “We are only interested in you if you pay us some more money”.5 users thanked author for this post.
June 26, 2026 at 9:23 am #322341Will they ever learn ?
Just looked at it, if you press the button to join it shows how many members there are – currently 35.Put them in a different field and sheep just keep on grazing, we shouldn’t be surprised.

June 26, 2026 at 9:28 am #322342It seems to me that the best thing the club could do right now is:
• withdraw the scheme;
• acknowledge that with hindsight they made a mistake;
• state that lessons have been learned and they are committed to efforts to listen to the fan voice from all ranges of opinion.
• co-create a supporter engagement and communications strategy with fans’ groups and representatives.June 26, 2026 at 9:56 am #322344Once again it’s not obligatory to sign up.
It no one joins the scheme it won’t last very long.
June 26, 2026 at 10:39 am #322346As a second tier supporter ie I am not been milked for ever penny I own.I can say with hand on heart after attending games regularly since 1971/2 home and away I am very close to calling it a day it’s a huge expense and a pain in the arse travelling to Scunny for games.
A lot of thinking to do over next few weeksJune 26, 2026 at 11:09 am #322347No need to stop going altogether join the ever growing band of supporters who in the main just go to away games.
You’ve missed the point NL it’s the look of it overall and the devision it’s causing the club need to read the room.
Enough is enough now.June 26, 2026 at 11:16 am #322349I actually agree with Awaywego on this ( no need to faint ) the club have to engage with a major investor or investors, it’s not a dirty word and it can still be linked to sustainability if managed correctly.

More enjoyable anyway, you don’t get stewards throwing you out for having an opinion.

June 26, 2026 at 11:51 am #322352Tried it myself Tjo never gave me a number.
Find it sad that PD has to be positive about it come what may, along with the unity group who aren’t allowed to express an opinion one way or the other.
Could always come back here where we’re anonymous and give us his views.

June 26, 2026 at 11:59 am #322353I just tried it again and now it doesn’t give the number of members, so they’ve removed that this morning I wonder why….

June 26, 2026 at 12:37 pm #322356I know it’s not happening Deerey, but it should. The club seem to think a few smartass Tweets from admin and a kit launch film are enough.
June 26, 2026 at 1:13 pm #322358They mention having a members only forum. Imagine Butler as a mod on that. Only positive comments would be allowed, and woe betide anyone questioning him. Their entry for the guess the attendance game might be revoked!
June 26, 2026 at 2:15 pm #322360They mention having a members only forum.
Wasn’t there a SUFC ran forum in the early internet days?
Desperate to silence Bru, good luck with that.
June 26, 2026 at 3:28 pm #322362I am afraid this only gets worse…..
“Following yesterday’s unveiling of the new Iron Insider membership scheme, members can now check out their first exclusive perk with never seen before footage from the Iron’s fantastic end of season awards dinner hosted in the MKM Executive Lounge.”
I know membership is optional, but this is embarrassing. Paying for this? It may be that this is a product of heat fever and I have imagined it.

June 26, 2026 at 4:26 pm #322363Obviously I’m not party to any financial arrangements between the club and Cheeseman / Hewes, the pair who make the videos. So this may not be accurate… But I’d wager the video pair have incurred costs and have donated much effort and many hours of their time as well as their creative expertise. Perhaps Iron Insider has been constructed as a way for the club to raise at least something to contribute to their costs?
June 26, 2026 at 4:38 pm #322364They are to be applauded for giving their time and expertise so generously. I guess others have done work (e.g. trades work, professional services) for the club on the same basis. I would be astonished if the club’s rationale for the scheme was to raise extra revenue to pay those who have delivered these pro bono services.
June 26, 2026 at 4:41 pm #322365Did something really exciting happen at the Awards Dinner that is worth me spending £60. Perhaps we could all chip in a quid and buy a membership and reveal the exclusives on here.
Think I will save my money and have a few beers.June 26, 2026 at 5:23 pm #322367I admire your tenacity Apollo.

June 26, 2026 at 5:35 pm #322369Correct me if I’m wrong. Didn’t something similar get rolled out a few years ago?
I seem to remember you got to see interviews and highlights early etc.
Anyone remember?

Ha ha
June 26, 2026 at 6:21 pm #322371It’s EasyJet football. Want a suitcase / want exclusive video footage? Want legroom / shop discount? Pay as an add-on fee. In a way you have to applaud it. As well as trying anything / everything to generate income, they are perhaps trying to make sure everything washes its own face.

There’s a difference between ‘have delivered’ and ‘will deliver’ services.
