I”m afraid that whilst the club remains in this dreadful limbo, halfway between the EFL and amateur leagues, this will become the norm.
June 28, 2026 at 12:03 pm #322431Not sure on this one!
Have the club announced the ‘advantage seats’ prior to it appearing on the new web page.
Normally have a good memory but can’t remember them doing so.June 28, 2026 at 12:05 pm #322432I refrain from most of the club’s output anyway so if people want to pay for more ,that’s up to them.It becomes a hard sell if it’s signing announcement and everyday news some expect .
I have the biggest reservation over the ticket allocation Queue jumping for £60.People like me pay full price for nearly all games and the club know how much I spend on tickets and games I attend through their ticketing system .Somebody who attends no games can spend £60 and get preference over fans who attend the majority of games at full price.Thats grubby from the club.
As for moaning I think my reservations on fan involvement are pretty consistent and are usually my only concerns. Obviously blowing off after games is a separate issue.
That said, there are those on here looking for Michelle to tread on the cracks of the pavement to hammer her for while expecting her to pay for their pleasureJune 29, 2026 at 6:51 pm #322483Have defended the club to the hilt for raising funds by any means In the past, however it Feel like they’re are taking liberties here.
Player interviews shouldn’t be behind a paywall.

June 29, 2026 at 7:35 pm #322485For £60 were all in this together, not quite the inclusive feel United approach were looking for if you ask me. Good luck to the club with this elite insider approach. Easy to forget we are not a League club anymore, putting basic stuff behind paywalls is a bit retrograde. I get we need every penny but don’t alienate any of thr hard won 4000 fans.

June 29, 2026 at 7:47 pm #322486Well bugger me unity group Rob, “To be honest (really) I’m happy if it creates another revenue scheme and gains access for supporters for high profile games”
Shouldn’t that be for some supporters Rob who can afford a minimum of £60 not all which surely what unity should be all about.
Did laugh when he said he’d miss the interviews though, obviously not joining then lol.June 29, 2026 at 8:06 pm #322487Regarding the interviews, I rarely watch them tbh. Very light touch and a bit sychophantic at times. Much prefer an impartial interview via BBC Humberside.
June 30, 2026 at 2:13 pm #322505James Moody’s are OK, Jake Pullen’s are terrible. He needs coaching to ask open questions and not give his own answer to the question he’s just asked.

July 1, 2026 at 12:42 pm #322546Maybe £6 a month isn’t too bad then?
“Southend United has always been built by its supporters. Through every generation, every challenge, every promotion push and every setback, you have been there supporting the club every step of the way. As we look ahead to the 2026/27 season and celebrate 120 years of this historic football club, we are proud to launch Only Blue; a brand-new supporter movement designed for those who want to go the extra mile. Only Blue is not a traditional membership scheme; it is a collective, fan-powered movement built to give you, our supporters, a direct and visible role in impacting what happens on the pitch. Every penny raised from the Only Blue membership programme will be ring-fenced directly into the football department. For just £10 per month, supporters can become part of the collective, helping to fund the football department, whilst receiving exclusives, monthly prize draws, priority windows in ticket sales and more. The Club will provide regular updates throughout the season, including quarterly communications and an annual Only Blue Impact Report, ensuring supporters can clearly see how their backing is helping drive Southend United forward.”
July 1, 2026 at 12:53 pm #322549Quarterly Communications?
Wouldn’t suit those fans who require instant gratification!
July 1, 2026 at 4:31 pm #322564It looks like this has gone down very badly with Shrimpers’ fans. This one is typical:
“Ripping off fans who have forked out for season tickets and 3 friendlies not to mention the overpriced Aveley game…If the board members dont have the money to support the team then they need to resign and get someone in who can. Rather go and watch Chelmsford for my £10 a month.”
It has a familiar feel.
July 3, 2026 at 6:02 am #322644The club are saying unless you give us £60 you’re second class, despite people such as I paying full price every game I attend which is most home games. Good customers getting blown off .
I’m getting sick of this club, wonder if insiders will be digging deep 1st when the shit hits the fan financially again.
This regime’s big thing has been spouting “unity” while dividing fans groups ,so far I’d suggest the need a new dictionaryI’m anticipating a reduced average attendance this season.
