Given the wing options we have now surely he plays through the middle? But for who? Can see him being a sub for a few games at least

    My thoughts exactly DM
Howe will be bench warming 100% .. Jones Roberts Whall up top no room for him on the wing…unless AB plays Howe with those 3 which is POSSIBLE BUT very doubtful

See Dave’s got Glyn Sparks to arrange a exclusive photo with Farrell on Wednesday guess it’s access all areas for him now. Wonder if AB as considered letting Dave give the pre match pep talk now they’re besties.
Invited some kid along with the promise of a Dave mug for him!

Slight disclaimer …. PD and the lad due a mugging both sponsor Farrell and it seems he may be heading back to Barnsley as all their strikers are crocked so hence the rapid photo opp arranged, still having the ear of Mr Sparks as well as AB must give him a boner on.

Maybe he should be retagged “Positively Relentless Dave” as he is gradually gaining traction within the higher areas of the club and wouldnt be surprised to see him given some sort of part time role somewhere IF HE IS STILL LURKING ABOUT AFTER THIS SEASON.

Given he has been the only fit centre back at the club for the last few weeks it’s hardly surprising he has been playing.
For an older pro having to play 2 games a week in a team who’s midfield has gone pretty much AWOL the old fella has not done too badly. Did we not just win 3 games in the last week despite 25 hours sitting on a bus?

Wow the life of NL footballer on min 1000 quid a week
    Play football
    nice hotels
    nice diet

Do we really have too many non-playing staff? I thought that aspect was very lean. In fact, the lack of expertise in some areas is linked to the foundation needed to progress.

It’s not hard to see why we can’t meet the running costs, they employ to many non playing staff.

We expected and wanted change when Swanny left, it started to happen but the new owners had other ideas.

    Agree

i thought Maw was bad but his fella takes the biscuit it, as if hes actually relevant..to the point of having his own mugs made says it all…

Na fookit if the club owners are happy to be in carhoots with glory hunters such as PD etc thats fine but not another Baht or pound will be heading from IFA

The fact that Boyce is retiring at the end of the season is irrelevant. He should be nowhere near the team based on his recent performances.

Yes he’s been a decent servant to us, but he is well past his sell by date.

    this is 100% correct

The club failing to be more transparent (or telling porkies being economical with the truth ) has been an issue for quite some time especially when it comes to financial dealings transfers and loans etc.. the owners and or PR department do come clean EVENTUALLY but in most cases fans are drip fed or treated like mushrooms UNLESS of course its when they need help donations sponsors etc then are like lightning out the blocks with all the gory details.

Taking fans for granted which is as plain as day will at some point come back to bite them on the bottom but by then may well be in a different league with new owners and Butler managing in the EPL.

as well as sharing the Iron tag i note their year of conception being 1898 so 1 year before the Scunny Iron.

Not sure about this prediction .. will the long trip to Truro take its toll and more so which Scunny will turn up….hoping JB is back though i think Evans isnt likely until Rochdale.
Braintree score a lot but concede a lot also so a 2-2 , 3-3 is my prediction. that that i hope we can come away with a 3-2 win.

sorry to quote myself guys but it was blooming lovely that both my score draw predictions failed yet my HOPE came in by a 90th min penalty … who cares

Boyce needs putting out to grass .. just ok NLN but too old n slow for NL

How many more times are people going to pick out our captain who has already said on air weeks ago that he’s retiring end of the season and went in to some detail about his future plans outside football? He is going. His choice. He knows he’s done. End of. Give the guy a break. On the whole he’s been a good servant.

Wasnt being nasty DM ..others have also commented on recent highlighted lack of pace.

So at least he knows his race is run which is good .. nice bloke and yes agree hes been a fantastic servant just there is a distinct chance his legacy will be tainted by his last half season of service.
Sadly no replacement so Boycee has had to carry on knowing hes past it which is a tad unfair.

IMO Fans will be split on this

    1.
love it and see it as a dream of owning a slice of the hallowed turf, also as a great business idea and way to raise funds all be it a tiny portion of the funds needed to re lay a new pitch etc.
How long before Glyn twigs on to a sponsored message on the score board or we could hear James Moody over the tannoy ” The free kick was taken from a square owned by ******* ” ” the goal was scored from bla bla bla

    AND OR

    2.
Just another SUFC money grab off fans many of whom have dug deep on numerous occasions in the last few years when in reality the pitch should be down to the club owners to fund.

SO Bruers .. which camp are you in ??

btw IFA is firmly in camp 2 ..

Sponsor a fork shovel lawnmower only £100

Not sure if this is a joke fed up fan but im sure Mr Sparks brain will be in overdrive trying to find a way to get the required equipment (more donations).. he would sponsor a dog turd in the car park given the chance.

As stated there is little difference in lower league two to mid to upper table National League. I doubt we will struggle in league two – as most clubs don’t having gone up. We are currently doing well in attracting supporters through the gates, need to build on this impetus – not wanting to go up would be counter intuitive to professional sport, rotten to the core.

Increased away gates and an average home crowd of 5k plus are achievable which will help a sustainable model, two ties against Grimsby should be all the motivation we need! (Unless they go up, they’re a bit hot and cold atm). Let’s face it our entire back line needs an overhaul whatever league we’re in anyway

Nail on the head there especially the last sentence.

Just listened to AB pre match interview ..its gonna be a tough game weve prepared well ( as ever) more alarmingly Cal Roberts and Pat Jones 50-50 to be fit..my 1-1 prediction may be a tad optimistic if they dont figure.

Anything other than a decent winning performance today and the attendances will drop further .. yes we MAY still finish in the play offs but scrapping n limping there with little momentum thus ending in tears at the first hurdle.

Alty in decent form and FWIW im going for another draw 1-1 (as per my recent predictions)

Hope everyone has a smashing community day and dont get too giddy with all the pre match entertainment.

Just sounds like a normal day for the average Dominatrix.

That would be a way for an event to boost the budget, hosted at Glanford Park. Hooks in the changing rooms would be good for suspension. Get them to do soapy sessions and IFA might be interested.

Sounds like an interesting idea ..let me know if the club gives it a go as i have the full set of manuals pertaining to ” SOAPY MASSAGE all you need to know ‘ in 3 languages and all including the correct water temperature, choosing the best masseuse with in my case an ample chest ,strong probing fingers and of course a happy ending which is precisely what Scunny need to this season to swiftly get this back on track..

Back on topic again ..question.. if away fans at the AAGP chuck flares ,bottles or any other missiles and it is reported who gets the punishment / fine the host club or the visiting ?? ..im thinking Chester twice and a few others where it was a bit daft.

    It was NOT ME

Though i must admit to being quite lucky in February .. lotto draws here are very strange and are on the 1st and 16th of every month, i won on both in Feb combined total of 700 quid which i spent on soapy massage ,steak and a few beverages … THE REST I WASTED !!

First game ive managed to get on the telly since back alarm set at 02-30 am .. and what a stinker it was…bloody awful not a single positive except the new lad Jones looks promising.

SUFC Worst team in the play off spots by a mile and not really sure retaining a PO place is worth happening just to get badly beaten by anyone in the mix.

Also signing more attacking options when the defense is shocking…Boyce is past it hoping for a siging and JB comes in.

Maybe some have eyes on a move or even have something already lined up but there must a reason for such a lazy half hearted display.

NO MORE EVENING KOs FOR ME

im guessing Positivity Daves internet must be down down ??? wondering how he can spin this one … or a name change to Delusional Dave perhaps.

oh ..Sutton did have a perfectly good goal chalked off and deserved the win imo.
