this whole pounds for pitch is bollocks is just that ..
firstly its been created to satisfy the egos of the likes of Maw, Unity and POz Dave and all the recent super fan additions so thy can become relevant ..
Secondly the BovD should manage the club as business and the pitch as as an expense of the business as basic business policy.This constant begging bowl mentality is wearing thin and even after near on 50 yrs supporting the club im fed up of it ..
When directors come in to the club they must realize its like owning a boat or a swimming pool .. just a never ending money pit swallowing the money .. ive had both and never again ..thankfully at no point would i consider buying into a FC as its simply a money pit and BAD INVESTMENT.
Good luck to SUFC best wishes to all the staff and fans but at this point in my life i am the complete opposite of Poz Dave and sadly my love , passion and even my historical ties for SUFC are dwindling… alas i think i may not be participating much in any form now on so i wish all bruers good health and happiness.
ps we simply cannot compete BUDGET WISE in NL yet and whilst others may disagree i still dont like AB as manager his attitude and stubbourness will come to bear.
THANKFULLY the club appears stable thanks to Michelle Harness and in some form will survive long after AB etc have moved on which is all that matters.
EL football is still a few seasons away .. i reckon at least 3

500 quid says we dont make the playoffs .. odds are shit but heyho IMO its a fair bet the way its going pear shaped !!… AB sending players out no incomings and what appears to be dis harmony in the ranks unless of course your POZ Dave in which case an earthquake destroying the AAGP would be classed as renovating infrastructure.

without going back to look at recent Alty games has Dec Howe played many minutes for them or been on the bench ? the whole point was he went there for game time so if its not materializing surely he may as well come back ASAP .. imo we miss his energy he works hard and knocks in the odd goal.. that said i did read a rumour hes attitude had drifted and AB n him had gurned at each other.. Over recent weeks we have seen players leave (Howe being the most prominent) and players come in Hurst , Dausch etc.. IMO AB has become a bit of a tinkerman playing players out of their natural positions henceforth the performances have been poor as results prove that (lucky to get 3pts against Southend).. it seems to me the team has lost its winning structure and focus ..lets revisit this after the next 3 fixtures as by then we may well be in a less comfortable place with regard to actually achieving a top 7 finish.
Ive always openly said i dont like AB as manager and a slight sense some of the players feel the same ..
Very non poor (except Smith)transfer window business and some strange choices but hey WE ARE SAFE from the drop and survival was the target for most including me.
imo simply not good enough for promotion this season and depending who stays or goes it may well be another survival season next year also.. too many round pegs in square holes as Sanfran posts as well as odd ins n outs

No its a business .. when it suits .. then when when fans are asked to dig deep again via whatever n whoever it suddenly becomes a ” community asset” ..
I wont donate for this pitch gig as surely its down to the owners of the club to come up with an economic plan to get it done from income raised from the prolonged spell of high gate receipts , merch sales , season tickets AND CHARITABLE DONATIONS already received.. there comes a time when the club constantly accepting fan goodwill and taking it for granted becomes a piss take.

without a huge improvement we will be struggling to stay in the play offs … with 3 really tough games coming up in which Nil points from 9 is a distinct possibility and could well see us drop away.
Not an AB fan at all but as he says we are safe from relegation and that was the aim from the first ball being kicked henceforth he must think he has succeeded via this remit.
Part of me doesnt want promotion im not sure i could stomach Dave the mugs gushings .. and it was nice to see him reign in his tedious and ridiculous over positive silliness on the Ironarmy fan reaction YT vid .. and note was was not available for comment on the main vlog.. i do hope hes ok !!Horton LB

After that debacle with one eye looking over the shoulder the next 3 games are all huge Dale , Shots n York by which time im predicting finishing third will be a distant memory and actually staying in the play off places will be the target.

Can we not do better than this? Why have the club aligned themselves with a guy who prints his face on mugs and hands them out to kids and Stuart Maw, who salaciously messaged teenagers on Twitter?
With such a history of dodgy money handling and well publicised use of fans funds to subsidise his own away travel.
We have to do better than this.

At the same time i read this new pounds for pitch idea by the Unity and group and incorporating a special mention to one n only Poz Dave..
I have to agree with the above post WTF .. the club should get away from this hand out begging mentality and get a structured ecconomic plan regarding the pitch and stadium rather than the get the “me on camera im important” attention seeking of “super fans” ..
The fans have and are doing their part week in week out even letting some fan directed obtuse comments by AB dissapear like a fart in the wind.SUFC is a business and IMO has had more than enough charitable assistance over the last few years so surely the owners should sort out the pitch issue ..
Poz Dave just wants to be involved at any cost .. alas hes making himself look like a proper wanna be twat whilst trying to do so.
Even though im over seas and have donated funds numerous times in the past via ppl on the ground in Scunny i really cant be arsed anymore when the clubs only answer seems to be .. lets go to the fans for cash vis the likes of Unity and this Dave fella.

DW in game use of profanities got him an early booking yesterday which could have easily led to Scunny going down to 10 men.
