    Why?

Barrows can do the marauding runs before giving the ball away.

Starbuck can do the poor defensive positioning.

Pretty sure young Rose could grow a passable mullet fairy quickly.

Waste of a wage we need to be spending on decent midfielders or a centre forward with more than one trick.

Can’t beat signing ex Scunny players, if they stay long enough ya never know they might become one of our future managers.

He always put in a shift and seems a likeable fella but he’s not much of a footballer.

Maybe the multiple right backs is to balance the multiple left wingers.

Attacking left side of the training pitch is going to be bare by September.

Rose into midfield as an option next season? Who knows what AB is cooking up on his playing budget.

Appears Butler see’s Rose as more of a sitting CM this coming season.

Starbuck , ogle as RB options

Howe, Evans, Jb and Barrows as CB’s with Rose also an option

Horton and Denton as LB’s options

We certainly need no more defenders. Hurst will be signing soon to provide more competiton outwide. Butler mentioned he was due in for a medical when he gave that interview.

Still need a striker and a more go forward CM player. Richards is more defensive, as is Rose and Rowley is pretty deep lying midfielder. Only Beestin with any attacking intent from CM.

We have two left backs that can play central defence or midfield and same with the right backs can play in different defensive positions, but we don’t need anymore, i think every signings we have made are decent , sad to see Robert’s and Ewing go, though Oli wasn’t his best for quite a while, another midfielder and a striker or two, hopefully

We definitely need a more creative and attacking minded central midfielder. There is one more still to come in besides Hurst. Butler said in that interview, two were done, two we’re having medicals and we were in conversation with two. I’m no Carol Vorderman but I count that as six.

Also have 3 coming in for trials too according to Butler.

Then he will have his loanees – just wonder in light of Villa and the latest link with free seats if they may be looking to place one or more ?

Seems the Ogle signing is pretty much splitting the fan base in half with regard to it being

    a) Ogle is such a fantastic player that will fit strengthen the defense thus so hailed as a great bit of business by “golden balls” AB who knows what hes doing.

    b) An average player with injury concerns that really isnt needed as already well covered at RB position thus so a waste of an already tight budget and bad business by “5 @ the back” Butler who is out his depth.

So which are you ???? … for the record im just swinging towards B depending where Butler plans on playing Rose (midfield) and JB.

    Time will tell.

Saw a mock up of a new Scunny kit on the FFBP and if its accurate its a belter absolutely fantastic design and back tot he proper CnB colours after straying away slightly last season.

    I’m firmly in camp B.
Have been since he was first suggested for the job, let alone given it.

I question how much of the applause to bring him back is driven by sentimentality and wig gimmickry. Though, clearly he can do a decent job at this level.
