Which flowers do you want in your hat, ironfromafar?
Flowery hat wont be needed (but i do like daffodils)…
FGR and Southend both better form and cant see us beating either Dale or Carlisle if by some miracle we do win the first PO game… not sure i could stomach AB chest puffing n preening on the open top bus anyway.
Doom N Gloom Dave

Very poor game .. this team aint no way good enough and where ever we finish and however the play off configuration unfolds we wont get past the first game , zero momentum and AB cant polish a turd all be a shiny play off assured turd.
If Scunny go up visa the playoffs i will wear a flowery hat and run stark bollock naked up Nong Sai high stWelcome to Iron Bru SS .. with a diverse membership who mostly shoot from the hip theres always plenty to debate on this platform.
What a sorry episode. No fan should be banned for voicing an opinion. Bhuna’s father may have been a touch colourful with his language, but if a steward was pestering him mid-game, the temptation to tell them where to go is entirely understandable.
Butler has spent recent interviews singing the praises of the happy clappers, yet anyone who dares to criticise within earshot is apparently now a candidate for a club ban.
It grows ever clearer that this club has no appetite for difficult questions or dissent – while those who clap along regardless are celebrated for it. Shame on you SUFC.Absolutely bang on …
so its ok for Butler to swear at a fan but a fan swearing at a steward is not ok .. and surely he should at least be questioned by the club over his actions.
Butlers ego appears so fragile when it comes to any form of criticism and conveniently forgets the fans pay his wages … its obvious SUFC and Butler just want the so called “happy clappers” and the likes of PD and fans with any negative views should be silent or dont attend.
the whole episode is a very sad reflection on how the manager and club see paying fans ..btw the same fans they constantly ask to dig deep for season tickets , merch, sponsorships and donations.

Dave is back !! .. lined up to be chief scout for season 26 27 according to my sauces !!
If true then the club must act quickly to register Butler as a ward of the court as a vunerable .. i thought he was supposed to be a ruffy tuffy alas now it appears hes got skin like tissue paper.
Sorry to all his followers but i really am disliking this fella more n more .. his distain for anyone not agreeing with him or questioning his management choices on so many levels really makes my piss boil..
The club only want to hear from fans that love him and treat him like a king is really piss poor.. arrogant stubborn and absolutely not my cuppa tea.
Beck.
sorry i mean Roberts
Yes been a very good season back in the NL and in the eyes of many have overachieved but IMO regardless if the POs are a lottery one off game gig we simply are just not good enough to go up this season.
I do however hope to be proved wrong.
The words you are looking for Butler
Not a chance of Butler admitting he got it wrong

I never wanted AB as manager.
He has done a reasonably good job – better than I expected.
This does not make him the man for the future – at all.
We will ot be promoted as we are not good enough.
Next season may not be as successful as this one……
My feelings exactly .. especially the last sentence
Need to be careful Southend are starting a run and could be playing us in the play offs
Do you think we will win.No
I’m going to have to stop listening to his interviews.
This has to be his worst post match interview this season.
Prediction
Scunny finish 7th
loose first play off game
Butler wants an open top bus around the town for getting into the play offs .. as he will see it as a huge success .. no key players turn up for the bus ride as they signed for other clubs.
No way going up and NL next season with a weaker squad.AB IS ARROGANT ,, no secret i dont like him or his attitude towards fans unless they say they love him… cannot stand any negative comments and always has a handy excuse as today when really he should have just put his hands up n say .. i made a mistake today and sorry to all the traveling fans.

just listened to Butlers post match HR radio interview and this guy is delusional .. rotating players for fitness , such an awful performance yet all AB does is talk shite .. no apology for the fans who paid hard earned money to travel and watch that .. surely he should have told fans not to bother as it was a practice game.
Results going well elsewhere and a real chance missed but seemed like watter off a ducks back … Butler shows his distain for Scunny fans unless they shower him with praise.2 users thanked author for this post.
7th play off place incoming .. ITS NOT COMING HOME GUYS
absolutely awful performance ..
Too many changes, no urgency, no effort to trouble the keeper, feel sorry for the travelling fans, hopefully things will change, going through the motions
see my earlier post re Scunny being “less than interested” .. very sorry for traveling Iron fans
Fully behind the starting eleven, mix and match, rest some guys give some others chance to shine in different positions particularly up top. Could prove useful going into the playoffs with more options, strong bench still if we need to rejig things later on.
We need to win, so should start our strongest team. The higher we finish the better.
totally agree
Being treated like a bloody training match. Half a second string lineup with a completely new formation (4-1-3-2?). Don’t get it myself.
only AB gets it
predicting a 2-1 loss for numerous reasons but ive got a home oil massage booked and he/shes just arrived..
more information to follow. On the prediction or the massage?
Back in reality and my prediction 2-1 loss based on Gateshead recent form coupled with a voice in my head swinging from the Irons mindset of consolidation a high play off spot to complacent we are already their and turn up not fully committed .. AB may even rest Rowley and or others again…
Hope my prediction is wrong again and its a happy ending for all the traveling fans.
Massage
Was an Easter and early birthday treat Rene and indeed i received an excellent service very strong fingers in all the right places and i fell asleep soon after Somchai left in her Tuktuk… 20 quid plus a fiver tip for fuel (thanks Donald).Happy Easter to all Bruers though apparently we are all so toxic and nasty maybe will not celebrate it

more information to follow. That’s where a lot of the unease comes from. If the club owes the owners another £1.4m, then supporters have every right to question the model. At this level, owner loans are common enough, but this ownership was supposed to be a break from that kind of setup.
Right now it looks less like a new way of doing things and more like the usual football cycle with a nicer sales pitch.
Scunthorpe are trying to move towards self-sustainability, and the board should be applauded for that.
The reality is the club is not there yet and is still heavily reliant on board loans to keep operating. That is not unusual in lower-league football, but it does mean the current model is still one of owner support rather than genuine financial independence. The real test is not whether directors are putting money in now, but whether the club can reduce its annual losses to the point where it can cover day-to-day costs from normal football income such as gates, sponsorship, commercial activity and football revenues without needing fresh loans every season.
As for the new director loans, the most realistic path is not immediate repayment but a slow transition: first cut the yearly deficit, then reach break-even, then build modest surpluses over time. Only once that happens can the club sensibly deal with the debt, most likely by leaving loans in place as patient funding, converting some into equity, or eventually writing some off rather than repaying them like a normal business loan. So the question for supporters is simple: is this genuinely a bridge to a sustainable future, or just another period of losses being covered by directors with the debt pushed further down the road?
Two excellent posts hitting the nail squarely on the head.
The directors were given their shares or did they buy them ?
The directors have loaned money to the club and expect it to be repaid at some point so whilst it seems like a great job has been done to clear all the old Swan n Hilton debt in reality the club just owe other people money and hardly a rapid path to sustainability more of a snails pace and thats if things stay positive on the pitch…(highest gates for years)Everyday fans constantly being asked to dig deep , local companies giving time and materials in good faith simply for the love of the club is a drop in the ocean and just a small help looking at the current numbers.
One would hope as genuine fans of the club the directors will write off some of the loans or indeed any interest thats involved as the sums are pretty shocking.
As said on another thread what the club really need is new investment and or new owners with deeper pockets so keep buying those lotto tickets guys it may be the only way.UTI
Tricky one to call this
Scunny may be complacent as all be in the playoffs mathematically and also beware the rebound effect of them getting battered 7-0 last time out.
im going 1-1
Hopefully a decent crowd being Good Friday Bank holidayi have no ill will to any Scunny fans be it Maw Dave or Ryan
THAT DOES NOT MEAN I CANT /WONT VOICE MY OPINION ON WHAT IS A FORUM BASED ON DEBATE AMONGST OTHER THINGS.Maw has left the unity building but will still attend matches which is admirable he remains a long term fan of SUFC and has over recent years done a lot of good for the club but within all that there was nipplegate and rumoured (unproven) money issues which was bound to attract scrutiny.
PD .. once posted his nick name was Martite ..love him or hate him.. i doubt any fans where ever they choose to comment actually hated him but like Stu Maw after a low key start he set himself up with his “all about me attitude” to the point of making his own mugs and thus inviting scrutiny.. attempting to embed himself to who ever he could to be seen. All that said he did assist with sponsoring etc and seems well liked by many fans.
Dave by his own admission has only been a Scunny fan for a short time so no surprise he has chosen to fade away and cut ties completely .. possibly a rash decision no the less his choice, im sure he will pop up again somewhere in the future. As for Ryan and his drum .. Bru is being caned on this when in reality there was only ONE negative post about this on the forum thread .. just about everyone has backed Ryan saying hes adds to the matchday experience and atmos… alas the knives are out for BRU so adding the drummer negativity was always gonna happen.
There surely will be a few up n coming wannabees ready to step up to fill the voids left by departures time will tell.

The drummer doesn’t bother me, what does is the crap tune played as soon as we score a goal at home.
Got to agree with this .. its embarrassing, out dated and corny…..needs to be dropped
as the time passes n posts attest .. PD is indeed a man on mission ..chief scout is his aim ..
The matchday atmosphere at GP has never been as consistently “up” as it has been in the last two seasons – due in no small part to the drummer and his mates. Leave them alone, they’re doing a cracking job. If you don’t like it put earplugs in.
It was like being sat in a morgue, in the main stand back in the old days.
Rene pplease dont leave you are one of the very few posters who say it as it iz ..

T’was a song being sung at the end of the game which the club posted a video of. “He’s f*cking quick, got a massive d*ck, Jean Belahouan.”
Absolutely briiliant whomever invented it
Sorry fellow Bru ppl but here he latest from bullshit Dave ..this must be a piss take posted on SUFC FB page replying to Jason the advisor Herbert…whom is also growing wings within the clubs hiarachy.
quote
Jason to have been the places I’ve been and met the people I met all down to my Dad who was my best friend but a tough taskmaster, I didn’t think he was fair at the time but now I realise it was only him wanting both my Brother & me succeed in Life, he was both Assessor & Chief Scout at Barnsley and Leeds and assessor at Wolves before he died, I helped him when my footballing career was cut short, he didn’t drive so I was one of his drivers and went to so many grounds , so many matches – Special times , I’m not sure what he would make of ” Positivity ” Dave ? probably ” Daft Bugger ! ” 🤣😂Thanks Jason I was back with him for a minute there ❤️UTI !Prediction time

Arguably the biggest game of the season so far to clinch a PO spot .. soHeart says 3-2 Iron
Head 3-2 Halifax
So another 2-2 draw it is thenHope the hoards of Iron fans traveling have a smashing time, these are the sort of away days i really miss.
As each week goes by it feels to me like Dave and the Iron Hour gang are the unofficial spokespersons for the club.
Indeed it seems these particular fans are being spoon fed sufc updates to circulate into the wider fan base ..unless of course the updates are negative or involving finances and transfers etc..
Predicting with the amount of leg work and bottom licking PD is currently undertaking there may well be some kind of position lined up for him in the future ” fan liaison officer ”
the plethora of PD cringeworthy FB posts must be for brownie points and to gain some traction with the club.
As a relatively new fan still unsure where he appeared from and more so how long he will hang about as the positivity and enthusiasm dwindles.
Its all harmless but non the less smacks of self importance back slapping and becoming very tediously over positive.
Stopped reading anything he posts now as made my eyes bleed .. take away PD post and it leaves very little to actually read on the SUFCFFBP -
