Abdulmalik was running rings around them. As soon as he went off it was as though Dale had an extra man.
Fair play to them!

FFS. Scunny Bunny is the absolute epitome of our tinpotness. Someone clearly just went with the first noun they could think of that rhymed with scunny, and then its stuck for 30 years, despite having 0 association with the town.
Do I have to repeat my lecture of some years back on the history of rabbit warrens in the district?

Watched the game and Shields were disappointing. Done me out of another local game next season.
At least they can look forward to their big derby match against Hebburn Town.
Changing the shirt number to 69?
I’d snap him up sharpish. Looked a quality player when on loan.
Now he would be a good signing if his loan is anything to go by.
Was that not what we were saying about Connor Smith?

The day I almost crashed my car on the A69 whilst listening to James Alexander Gordon.
We don’t necessarily need a target man. In the halcyon years of Sharp/Keogh and Hooper/Hayes we didn’t often play with one.
Howe is more than capable of being a National League Sharp or Hooper if played in the correct position. Where we find a NL Keogh or Hayes is more of a problem. Beestin? Jones? Dare I say Smith? Or do we start scouting for one.
We landed Jacob Butterfield when we were in a much worse position than we are now. So there’s got to be a horse for the course out there somewhere.
Yes
Okay! Just RW & AB then.
The only evidence I see of Butler’s defensive mindset is in his late substitutions. But when you have two forwards in the top ten goal scorers, and three in the top twenty you can’t be that defensive. As has been posted on here, a lack of goals from midfield has let us down.
And if he does prioritise defence then having the highest goals against figure in the top seven shows that it isn’t working!
Yours is not self explanatory, it’s just an opinion as is mine.
Brian Laws was a defender and he did okay. Or are you just talking about Wilcox and Butler?
Cant see Howe staying,he wants to be in the first XI very week.I dont think we have seen enough of him as he came to us as a prolific scorer and its not happened mainly because Butler does not play him in the right position
I’d be worried if he didn’t want to be in the first XI every week!

Our lower league defender got us as far as international super striker Mark Hughes and did better than hard-man midfielder Robbie Savage.
Position once played has sod all to do with it.
Really?
So the defenders mindset has no bearing?
Can you point your any evidence? As much as you can.

Good to see anti-positivity Alcazar back firing on all cylinders!
Back to back promotions would have been incredible, but if we had to miss out I’d rather it was today than against Boreham Bloody Wood at Wembley.
BTW been swapping commiserations with my Carlisle supporting chums. Facile dribble was how their performance was described. Hughes not popular by all accounts.
Wonder what was in the decanter?
This modern world.
Where everyone thinks they have a right of entitlement!
Hope it’s SS for obvious reasons but I think they’ll bottle it!
Or May Day & Grace Jones for all you Bond fans out there!
York, Rochdale, Carlisle. 4/5 changes = squad rotation.
Iron 4/5 changes = weakened team!

Monkey Magic! 🐵
A general “dumbing down” of a significant percentage of the population?
The silicon chip and now AI means you don’t have to think too hard anymore. Let’s face it, you don’t need to count out your money to make a purchase nowadays. Just wave your phone or a card at a machine!
Everything needs to be pigeon-holed or labelled. Housing shortage? Immigrants! Long NHS waiting lists? Immigrants! Job losses? Immigrants! Easy scapegoats fuelled by the likes of Farage and the gutter press.
I was driving down the A68 through County Durham last week and there were lots of Union Jacks and St George’s Crosses flying in places such as Tow Law and West Auckland. Absolutely no asylum seekers anywhere near yet they feed off the rhetoric.
Impoverished former mining towns of course, but they are flying the flags of the country whose government sold them down the river decades ago. Crazy!
Strange days!

Et tu, Fansy?
Farage is sharpening you a knife as I post.
We had grass on the pitch at the start of the season!

Nowt wrong with your maths ‘tash!
Beat Eastleigh and we finish on 85. Southend can only get 84 and FGR are effectively out of it as they can only get 81 and we can’t catch Boreham Wood.
So basically next week’s games will decide whether we play Southend at home or at their gaff.

Who’s saying we’ll win the playoffs?
Wasn’t Roberts injured for the playoffs last season?
I predict we will lose at Wealdstone, beat Eastleigh and finish 7th by virtue of our poorer goal difference.
Most likely face a trip to Boreham Wood in the QF.
It would be bloody scary!
Seen Chester have moved into the playoffs fair play to them, what a time to hit form after the torrid start they’d had.
Wonder what the board think now about moving the manager on at the end of the season. They’ve done a massive U-turn Awaywego. My mate tells me that SuperCal is no longer getting his P45,
