The difference, imho, is that Bru would recognise all of that in advance and not host it, if asked. How can an organisation be credibly able to remain wholly independent and impartial and ask difficult questions when necessary if it is right in the Club’s pocket (which Iron Hour most definitely is). They’re intoxicated by the glamour of enjoying close association, and it’s to their detriment. The lightly media savvy face of happy clapping.

The latest kit launch video plays hard on the concept of community – other than the fact that it doesn’t even tip a hat to the Iron Trust nor Irish Iron.

Nothing about the steelworks either, which could have fitted well.

Scratch the surface and the vibe coming from the Club is further moves towards closed ranks and certain quarters shoring up power.

CEO – barely visible, questionable decisions, seemingly no accountability. New President – Who? What? Why?

How will all this play out?

Rumours around a member of the Board – obviously cannot be discussed due to their nature.
