March 17, 2026 at 8:09 pm #317650Decent start two up in twenty minutes, glad Alfie got a start and got another goal, nice to see the young lad up top chipping in aswell.
March 17, 2026 at 8:11 pm #3176512-0 up but could easily be 3-2 down…defence looks awfully shaky!

If you put a bit of curve on a ball as you lump it aimlessly upfield – does that magically turn it into a good ball?
If we refer to all balls lumped up field from any position on the pitch – would we all be happier if they were to be renamed clearances?1 user thanked author for this post.
March 17, 2026 at 9:12 pm #317654Boyce has had to go off Cant believe AB put Barrows on
If JB is fit enough for the bench then why wasn’t he brought on? We must have the shortest back four on the pitch in our history…just wait for the high ball into the back post to be headed in.

March 17, 2026 at 9:47 pm #317655Phew.
Many parts of the game Truro looked as good as we did.
(Reminder! – They are the bottom team in this division.)
Louis Jones got a lot right.
Ewing, to me, looked almost back to his best.2 users thanked author for this post.

March 17, 2026 at 9:55 pm #317658March 17, 2026 at 9:56 pm #317659Well, i should have decorated tonight as it was like watching paint dry seeing Scunthorpe play.
We had 4 shots on target and bottom of the league Truro also had 4 shots on target.
Yes, we started well, though Farrell missed a few sitters.
And ffs, why on a great Pitch do we consistently launch the ball in the air, when you have Pat Jones & Ollie Ewing.
The goalkeeper needs to pass the ball through defence,to midfield to attack, but then the defence just launch the ball.
And if Starbuck, Barrows and Boyce are here next season we will continue to have a wobbly defence.
I would play a 20% fit JB than any of them.
And did Connor ‘ the second coming ‘ Smith do anything when he came on, no he did not.March 17, 2026 at 10:02 pm #317660We won get over yourselves, nothing else matters and tonight’s game has gone, we made our playoff spot even more secure and nothing else is relevant.

March 17, 2026 at 10:03 pm #317661To be fair Barrows has come on at CB in the last two games and we haven’t conceded whilst he’s been on the pitch.

March 17, 2026 at 10:14 pm #317663If we can only beat Truro away 2:1, not exactly play off winning form
March 17, 2026 at 11:18 pm #317664And only just sneaked passed Altrincham’s reserves.
March 17, 2026 at 11:42 pm #317665If we can only beat Truro away 2:1, not exactly play off winning form

At last the voice of reason, good post young man you can’t argue with facts and figures, now watch some of them try 😂
March 18, 2026 at 4:58 am #317669Can you believe that we’re in fifth position playing how we have and with our ‘form’ over the last 12 games or so?
How bad are the remainder below us?March 18, 2026 at 7:14 am #317670Let’s get some perspective. On the whole over the last 3 games, performances have been generally improved and much improved in phases. Players like Ewing are getting back on form.. Alfie’s firing again, Farrell can find the net, Jones is a sensation, Dausch looked good again when he came on, Louis looks better in goal, Roberts out for two games and Boycey had to go off last night. Not a fan of Positivity Dave but there is room for a bit of optimism now.

March 18, 2026 at 7:35 am #317671If teams run away with the league is shit,if teams are taking points off each the teams are shit.Surely our form shows a strong league more than anything

March 18, 2026 at 8:30 am #3176722nd) York are 19pts ahead of us.
Top) Rochdale are 21st ahead of us.Southend (ok, 2 games in hand) in 7th are a massive 30pts behind Rochdale.
Their supporters must be beyond frustration.March 18, 2026 at 9:29 am #317673I thought Jones played well in goal last night, made one great save second half

March 18, 2026 at 11:14 am #317675Just that nervy coming to the ball first half. That aside, he had a great game and saved the two points. He should be buzzing today.

March 18, 2026 at 2:10 pm #317692It’s alright saying don’t care how we win it’s the points that matter, if we don’t gain promotion then it does matter.
Everyone was all over the mantra we must get second place under Jimmy so we could get a home semi, only for us to turn up and only put in a 45min performance again. Was it worth the mainly drab football he put up.
Don’t get me wrong I’m happy we’ll be in the playoffs but let’s see them entertaining the fans, well at least again to the playoffs when winning only really matters.
They managed it early season no reason they can’t now.March 18, 2026 at 2:20 pm #317693Prediction: Should we get into the Play-Offs (at this stage it’s looking highly likely) we will, in fact, fall at the first hurdle.

March 18, 2026 at 4:28 pm #317699Looking at the table we’re going to finish somewhere between 3rd and 8th. So assuming we make the playoffs we’re going to have to play better than the feet and head version of beach volleyball that we seem so fond of lately.
March 18, 2026 at 5:01 pm #317702‘Was it worth the mainly drab football he put up’
Glad you said that. I thought ‘Jimmyball’ was mainly dog doings.
