Guess.
Mr 10 games give you a clue.I’m not sure we will witness such a runaway league as per last season but think the top several teams are stronger.
Just managed to see the goals Carlisle scored. We look so slow in closing down.
Team just meandering around no urgency whatsoever so ever.
And the keeper! Absolutely disastrous
Continue on this vein it will be a very long season.
I don’t see relegation but a mid table finish is about as good as it will get even though I was told that this season it would be easier than last.Do we really believe that Campbell is better than Louis?
If he is – why hasn’t he been chosen to play yet?Nobody believes. Both keepers are poor. Same as last season nothing has been learnt.
The spine of the team is none existent.
Get the sacked manager from york city in.
Potentially looking a good decision getting rid of Maynard as it stands
It will be Butterfield.
First 10
Won 2
Drawn 3
Lost 5A paltry 9 points and 11 points off play offs.
Prove me wrong Butler.
Only 2 natural CB’S at the club. 4 natural left wingers. 5 players who can play RB. GK position not sorted out due to Butler’s famous stubbornness. Short up top and lacking any quality in CM with Richards not adding anything.
Thinking back to previous managers, has there ever been a more shambolic pre season and player recruitment drive than what we’ve witnessed this season ?
I personally can’t think of one.
If Whitehall can find his mojo again, and with Gale and Parker, I don’t think we’re too shabby up top.
Just the S.show in defence then to sort out starting between the sticks.
One would like think we’d have the best defence in the division with having an ex defender at the helm.
How wrong.A decent/experienced keeper usually sorts the dodgy positioning of the defenders in front of him.
Neither of our GK’s are experienced/good enough to do that.
A Gilks/Murphy esque keeper is required1 user thanked author for this post.
I think there’s enough quality in the team to be mid-table at least. On paper.
Jeez DM that’s not great thought for the season. So I don’t need to worry about how many games I go to this season then?
Probably have some good contacts within the game
Reckon he’ll be our manager one day ☝🏼
Jeez we love some scraps on our fish & chips.
Why clutter the cupboard even more than it is with bit part players.

All too pedestrian again.
All over the pitch, watched their goal and we looked like we were walking/running through treacle.
Evans looked sooooo slow, seemed 10 yards behind play. We’ve not built on last season

Pretty much agree ‘tash.
Richards looks lost. Mind you the whole midfield played like they’d just met. Pat Jones LW please Andrew! Rowley first name on the teamsheet.
Full back conundrum just got worse as did the main striker problem.
Yep to drop your most consistent player from last season is an absolute clanger.
Looks like we’ve ripped up last season’s game plan & team rather than tweaking it.

Exactly AWG I don’t buy this he doesn’t know his best 11.
He should know his best 11!!Can anyone confidently say we have built on last season success with the players brought in? And that we have a larger squad than last season
Surely 1 or 2 players less would have been better so that we could have recruited a better class of player to replace Roberts & Co.
Just seems we’ve just cluttered the changing room.3 users thanked author for this post.
Reality will bite this season, will be an abject season and a long one at that.
Apparently from WG’s statement to me the league is not as good as last season. B’s it’s equally if not harder and will never be easy as there will be always a few teams spending to get out.
That appears on last season the only way out.Unfortunately we don’t have the ammunition to do such things.
Early doors but to start on the back foot ain’t great. And abject performances won’t help.
I’d say give it 5-6 games more and we are mid to lower table gates will fall.Don’t get this manager doesn’t know his best 11.

Probably most consistent/best player last season.
What’s Rowley done to not be in starting 11?

‘Footballers should be paid solely on results and not just for turning up’
Can you or Alcazar, who’s liked this comment, explain how they would make a decent and secure living when results aren’t going their way or are unused squad players? Or are you advocating they go part time and supplement their income with other jobs? Should we just become a pub team club?
It should be more heavily biased towards results in the wages rather than as I put it ‘solely’ just for you DM.
I know there are win bonuses, clean sheets goals scored etc.
But it’s far too easy to go missing in a match or as we have heard on many occasions when you’ve made the effort to travel away but your team hasn’t turned up.
We see players on over 300k a week not putting a shift in.
Far too easy1 user thanked author for this post.
Your love for Scunthorpe United shines through in your posts,RoamingBull.
✌🏻
Just not feeling it this season. Hopefully results will make me hanker to pay GP a visit.
Football has been relatively boring tbh. Can’t stand the sideways and backwards passing just to come off the field to hark on about that we had 60/70% of possession.Been watching Scunny since 77.
Footballers should be paid solely on results and not just for turning up.
Think the Rochdale match No show and the World Cup debacle by our home nation shows that sometimes a reset is needed.

1-1.
Go 1-0 down to then as per usual wake up midway through 2nd half.
7th or 8th end of season finish.
Not feeling it atm so can’t be arsed to go Saturday.
Will see how they get on before I decide how I spend the rest of the season.
We’ve a good tech college if approached the fabrication and welders course could easy knock one up, just the cost of the corten steel (weathers well just like the one downtown) would be needed and a good project for them.
Our department (now gone) knocked a replica torpedo up when one blew up and killed 11 men. with Apollo let’s not have it embarrassing the trust and the club club.
Further more Tony gosling the chairman has connections to get this done on the works at tech college.
If someone could forward it to him.Good point.
I used a company in Sheffield to laser cut a life size piece of steel of my dog that sits amongst the garden shrubs. It has gone rusty/corten as it’s aged.
I sent them 6 photos and they made it perfectly and exactly to size of my dog.
It was just shy of a £100. Tony the guy whom I dealt with presented it to us.
We were taken aback and tbh couldn’t believe how reasonable it was. He obviously got a decent tip for some beers.A fallen soldier is just over 200 quid. Obviously I’m sure a life size version of King Kev could be made with a heavier gauge steel.
Take a look.
In a double benefit initiative I understand for a fiver a go you can have a slash on the pitch square you’ve bought.
Which benefits are you talking about Cas?
The ones if you are on benefits you are exempt from a hosepipe ban ?1 user thanked author for this post.
Yep Les we did a Scunny. Absolutely shite at defending and can’t keep a clean sheet in a month of.
Negativity breeds throughout this nation not only in football.Tuchel needs sacking for that fiasco. Makes Dullgate look like Pep/Fergie. Bet Dullgate had a wry smile tonight.
Anyhow let’s pay off the German with a huge handshake.
Oh hang on a minute there’s plety of handshakes for being mediocre.1 user thanked author for this post.
I hope they are watering it. And I’m sure the hard work will Pay dividends.
Not sure why we’ve been hit with a blanket ban on the hosepipes from more or less the Thames to the Humber.
New pipeline from Elsham to Cambridge-Essex is ongoing so now everywhere will be so called balanced. That means we are hit with the same stick as everyone else down sarf.1 user thanked author for this post.
The quality of last seasons shirts was awful.
Any chance of an Adidas or something that’s of far better quality.
Looks awful too.
Just need a couple of signings that don’t pass sideways and know where the goal is.
Wasn’t this area that needed improvement?
Need to be more than ok to get out of this league!
Yep Okay doesn’t cut it in my book. Means not good enough.
As it stands we have an okay line up. Unfortunately the bucket of pickings is slim
Jordan Richards from Boston. Any good?
& Ross Barrows re signed for another season.
Think signings seem to be the hot topic atm rather than the new kit. But will be soon on the agenda when boredom rev.10 kicks in.
The material/quality of the shirts has been poor for sometime. I’d never purchase.
Looks like the bogroll you’d get years back in OSG
Remember someone stating it’s the John Wayne of Bogroll. Rough, tough and don’t take no shit off anyone.Adidas too steep is it?
