More likely to see Cape Verde win it than the FA X1 !

WC Winners – I think that I’m more likely to see an African nation win it before England (if they ever do – dilution of the player pool due to the PL) in my lifetime!

From the Go Fund Me appeal:

“A supporters trust is a democratic not-for-profit organisation of supporters, committed to strengthening the decision-making process at a club.”

Perhaps the trust needs to review their own decision making abilities?

Very few donations in the last 24 hours – it looks as if it’s hit the buffers.

    IMG 0873

The objective of the Trust is to purchase shares.
A mere £12,000 of shares held.
Yet, they’ve given “thousands” to local charities.

    That doesn’t sit right.
Money – Shares – Nothing else!
    Otherwise it’s pointless!

Corners & free kicks … once awarded to us, get that Jaws track going in the build up to the ball being struck – play it over the PA system at 1,000 db :-)

Possibly from 1min 45 to 1min 55 of this clip

Ten seconds to put the fear of Cod (sic) in to them :-)

Demonstrates precisely why we need to use a non de plume on here.

Sorry to hear your trees didn’t yield much fruit this year.
We were awash with plumbs from our trees.

Never did a proper days hard graft!

    Not having that!

I used to see him every morning when I was cycling to JL VI Form Col along Ashby Road. I think he was in digs somewhere off Rochdale Road and he would jog to the OSG where he would then run up and down the steps of the cantilever stand until the rest of the team turned up.

He trained harder and longer than anyone else so to say he never did a day’s hard graft is doing him a disservice.

An 8 hour shift at the coal face? 8 / 12 hour shifts at the steelworks?
8 / 10 hour shifts on construction sites.

Hard running up and down a small stand for 10 minutes at 18… innit?

How many on here actually saw him play for Scunny?

Age 20 when he left for the Scousers in 1971.

Scored a goal in (roughly) every seventh game for the Iron.

Obviously Liverpool saw something in him.

Of those on here that saw him play for the Iron… what were your thoughts on him at that time? If you can remember :-)

Do we really need to erect a statue of someone who scored a goal every 7 games for Scunthorpe United?

Are we just “riding on someone’s coattails” – is Armthorpe Junior School erecting a statute? The sea cadets? His Sunday School? etc

At the end of the day; he didn’t discover a miracle cure for any nasty disease – he just played football … and was rewarded handsomely (at the rate of that time / era) for doing so.

Never did a proper days hard graft!

Just read it on OWS. I don’t go on there very often.
    Callum is Vice Captain.
    Solid CB pairing.
    Hopefully Stan will play 4-4-2!

How about revisiting Márton Bukovi‘s 2-3-2-3?

Can go 2-3-5 in possession / attacking
5-5-0 out of possession / defending

Evenepoel won yesterday’s TT – taking 28 seconds out of Pogacar’s lead.

Still a huge gap at 4 min 32 secs.

I’ve being watching it since C4 first started broadcasting it in 1986.

Prior to that, the Milk Race frequently passed along the bottom of our road in the 70s & 80s.

As a small kid in the early 70s… it hooked me.
